Leicester beat us to becoming the first Premier League team to lose seven home matches in a row without scoring.

I’m assuming that most people (like myself) were expecting Juric to build on the team set up used for the Liverpool game as a realisation of how to best use the players at the club. Yet he reverts back to tried and failed set up… unfathomable!

2 and 6 were the only successes. 1 and 7 were financially successful. pitiful. Currently no leaders on or off the pitch. SR messed up since their arrival but it also shows it’s hard to get it right. No clue if Spors is the right choice but he cannot do it alone. Has the scouting structure improved - too early to tell, at least the youngster are doing well, but meaningless if there is no pathway. I’d like to see Fernandes stay, sign a Case type CM, get a good CB lead to help Edward’s if he seen as a player who can step up. Create a base and keep the strong players (of which there aren’t many).

Eight points behind with 11 games to go. Certainly need to start winning to be challenging the top two for promotion.

Can you post a link to the table? Thanks. found one… Table and results

Don’t get caught when the pitch invasion happens 😜🤣

A draw

Most politicians are parasites. reform party is a limited company owned by Farage so his rules matter not party members.
-
I think his point is those players didn’t contribute to the promotion, very much squad players.

With any mathematical models there would be an error term. More simulations the small it would be but it just reflects the very small possibility of survival. Also the stupidity of using ‘a super computer’ on something that didn’t warrant it.

That seems to be the same with Saints. Good on the business side, bad on the football side. Only trouble is the commercial will dip if the football doesn’t pick up.

JWP has played well in the last two games.

I would expect 2 or 3 fringe players in their line up, then at half time when they will be 4-0 up another 3 fringe players to come to help rest first teamers for their important European match to follow. maybe 6-0 at the end of this training match for them. Sad times.
-
Depends if they have European matches. Could easily play 4/5 youngsters and win by 4/5. But think that would be a blessing.

If he plays well, sorry, better than anyone else, then you’re got to question the Manager’s decision to keep him on the bench for so long.

Bella gets on!

The dive didn’t help but still enough for a penalty for me.
-
And yet it’s 2-2.
-
Probably, but also the fact he’s getting the most out of his squad if Charles is the best player.

They were leaving after the third goal went in

Are our Scouts really to blame?

Are our Scouts really to blame?
Doctoroncall replied to OnceaSaintalwaysaSaint's topic in The Saints
The trouble is for a club of our size, getting recruitment wrong too frequently has a major impact on the club. A real mixed bag of players recruited, too many brought in along with too many managers with their own list of ‘ideal’ players certainly have contributed to the club’s decline. The scouting process has not changed much, only that there is the addition of plenty of data on various ability scores. One aspect I’d like to know is if someone can get to know a player - know how they tick - as that seems to be something the club don’t do as mental fortitude is missing in most of the players. -
Keeping Track of the Contracts 2024-25
Doctoroncall replied to Over land and sea's topic in The Saints
I was using McCarthy as an example, as a player under contract it may not be that easy to move on, it requires a replacement straight away and if there are many leavers, not always easy to find so many targets so quickly. Targets need to be able to perform well and have the ability and mental fortitude for the PL. That will generally cost more, be it in scouting, research, contract and/or fees than the players we had previously got in. Hopefully there are some U-21s who can step up as well. I just think there are two summer transfer windows to use for developing a PL squad (big assumption for promotion) and it gives Spors the time to get the right target and not compromise.
