  1. Quite complementary from an opposition manager.
  2. Not sure I get what you mean as I've had dialog with the club via email, letter and phone to questions I've had.
  3. depends what you're into - games, educational, business etc... I've found the following good apps: Momento - diary/log Task Eater SpreadSheet SharePrice Monopoly DK Human Body and some maths stuff for the kids
  4. Still more interesting than the squabble on another thread though! ;-)
  5. The chief executive said: ‘For me, it’s another example of a legacy issue we have inherited that has been dealt with. And that will enable us all to move on. Since the owners have arrived, a number of long-standing issues have been resolved. That has to be a positive for the club, helping us to move forwards.' That's good, nice clean Pompey move on with no other things outstanding like identifying the creditors under £2500, paying off the CVA and having an owner involved in a dodgy bank.
  6. Stick with the course, anthropology has an advantage in that it's different to the norm and better than a media studies type course, which I would expect has a lower entry criteria so seen as an easier degree and probably will not prepare you for work in the way you'd imagine. I've seen many graduates come in to business to use what they've learnt in the degree course thinking they know it all and embarrass themselves. As others have said if you can get some work experience while you are studying that would help you most, especially if it's in the industry you plan to work in.
  7. I haven't killed anyone... but the temptation is still there.
  8. I've used some already.
  9. It's great! It depends how the company are doing this. It sounds as if there was no consultation with the employees - not the best practise.
  10. Cool, been waiting for this for a while, last game before moving onto another console!
  11. ...and it's easy to pick up on the extreme (or hopeful) views and critise. Do we really have any ITKs on the skates? I must have missed that.
  12. Has she signed up on the European work directive? That states a minimum number of days leave required to take as well as maximum number of working hours in a week. Otherwise depends on the contract and goodwill of the company.
  13. Does anyone have any useful tips? For example, instead of using tin foil in the grill pan to save washing it, put some water in the pan so the fat drops in the water. Also the trouble with foil is it reflects the heat so whatever you are cooking will be at a higher temperature and likely to lead to under cooking the inside while burning the outside.
  14. Not quite, although brief, he did have caretaker roles at Newcastle, WBA and Carlisle and was involved in the England U21s set up.
  15. Out of interest what is this very good reputation within the game, as a statement it doesn't mean anything, where is the substance to support the statement besides the rumour?
  16. Not quite, it's the love of money...
  17. It only seems Data Protection as a predicate rule has been broken but I would suspect their internal Quality procedures have not been followed. Are they members of BSI or other standards group?
  18. Thanks guys, some really great replies and some useful information to work through. I appreciate it.
  19. Thanks for the info so far - it's not for the online gaming (my connection would be too slow anyway). It's purely for gaming as I have a blu-ray player and more specifically the adventure style games.
  20. I'm looking for a new games console as I have a Nintendo Wii but there hasn't been any decent games recently. Generally play adventure type games mostly - Zelda and Lara and occasionally a few other action/adventure games (007 and Red Steel), a bit of Golf and Mario Carts. Out of the Playstation and Xbox, what are the pros and cons and which would suit best? Thanks.
  21. Hopefully you can get compensation from your delays.
  22. My first car was a mistake but with my next I got the AA to do an assessment as I know bugger all about the mechanics of a car. It cost me £100 at the time but saved a couple of grand as the engine was shot. A mate did this at an auction, the car was fine and a bargain.
  23. Sorry, I'm getting confused where this six months MOT has come from, I thought the car didn't have one, expiring in May - Saint Jonny can you clarify?
  24. This is a great thread, thanks to Saint_Jonny for starting it, I'm sure he'll be more cautious now. I can see both sides - the winner was a dumbass and was taken advantage, St Jonny should have listed the facts only and avoided using opinion, especially as a lay person.
  25. That's how the long ball theory started with Reep and Hughes!!!
