  1. Jeez, well that brought back painful memories. It's strange, had we not capitulated against Villa, Boro and Everton I'm swe would have survived and then we would have missed out on our good fortune we have now.
  2. I would prefer Brum and Blackburn to join them, we tend to do well against the 'bigger' clubs. I have mixed emotions with WHU, with family ties to the club but the p0rn barons deserve this with the many mistakes they've made this season, starting with employing AG and finishing with the way they dismissed him. They'll need to raise plenty of money (£30-40m) from player sales for them to enjoy a challenge next year without worring about the financies. But to many player changes and the wrong manager in and they are stuffed.
  3. I would suspect that there are players who have big egos but still recognise football as a team game and are not corrupted by greed or agent to realise the team is the most important thing in winning games and medals.
  4. Depends what industry as Agile is not recommended for validation of systems. Perhaps a Six Sigma course would be good as it's not IT focused.
  5. The fact he had a job is unbelieveable!
  6. Best one yet... comedy gold with Edward.
  7. I don't think it's easy just to keep a player without thinking about the team. Much will depend on the succession planning of players, i.e. who will take over from Jaidi? Seaborne, Martin? Are they ready now? Is Jaidi going to be used as cover? Or do we buy? We have a number of options for left back plus the promising Shaw (who is likely to see some first team action in the next two years). Do we keep Mills, and Dickson as well as Harding? Or Sell Mills and keep Harding and Dickson?
  8. Forty one points out of a possible 45 is a great achievement... just under 40% of our points in those 15 games.
  9. Sorry to stir the pot but not having read the thread except the last few posts, if we got 20 points, would we have finished third? Twenty is closer to 22 but then the prize of second place would not be ours. So much depends on how everyone interprets the question of "how many points will we need".
  10. I was a Parish Councillor a few years back, now that was a thankless task! And no, I didn't get paid.
  11. Hotel Jenny, Klepferhof, 68220 hagenthal le bas, Frankreich. Near Basel, superb food and wine. A bit closer to home Auberge de Luc, Welwyn Garden City, Herts. Again great food and wine.
  12. I surprised they didn't interview Gus, the best Manager in League One... ever! Joking apart, a nice piece and I can see another good season ahead with Adkins at the helm.
  13. I didn't realise the cycle shop owner was a Saints fan. I need a bike too!
  14. around 98 for 3 or 4 seasons.
  15. Not only that, but from the match report "Kanu, a starter here, is rumoured to be still earning £80,000 a week"
  16. Does it matter? Al Qaida is still active, it's ethos is still calling to others, the war on terror will go on and deaths will still occur.
  17. Thanks for the summary. I think that Huddersfield will make it through the play-offs.
  18. It will be against league rules to totally change the side, however they do have a couple of promising youngsters who may see some or all the match (especially if Murray is out). Also their captain, Greer, should be back from his four match ban
  19. bloody hell that was close!
  20. I'm sure there will be mistakes made along the way but hopefully the impact will not be felt when it comes to first team achievements.
  21. A shame the U-18s lost to Fulham to fall 4 points behind them in League A but I suppose at that stage as long as they keep learning and improving the U-18 league results will be irrelevant for first team appearances and successes.
  22. Surely it wasn't too subtle even for you Phil?
