  1. Scores against Chelsea tonight.
  2. Comments about the game versus Sheffield Utd already say they are at that point. With games against in-form Bristol City tomorrow, promotion chasing Leicester, Reading, Burney, Cardiff, Swansea and Norwich it would be an amazing achievement to get to the play-offs.
  3. Not looking good. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/mar/04/plymouth-argyle-administration-high-court
  4. Oh for a good old fashioned inquisition... er winger! Various posters keep saying that Saints should have signed better players, but who are these better players and how do they know they would perform here? For every Fonte, there will be a Puncheon. It would be different if a Bellamy situation arose but that isn't going to happen, we're in sh!tty division 3.
  5. well that was one way traffic! the away visit is here:
  6. Hopefully, they don't gift the skates a second win of their season.
  7. Well Autumn starts late September, so too late for transfer window!
  8. ...and our south american cousins* this w/e: http://southamerican-futbol.blogspot.com/2011/02/golazo-erik-lamela-vs-huracan-clausura.html Well, we play in their home and away strip (river plate).
  9. Can you imagine doing this down the gym...
  10. Just to throw in some more stats, we continue to put in more shots in on goal than anyone else but obviously placement or good defending is a bit of an issue as they are not being converted to goals often enough which would alleviate opposition pressure some of the time (the Swindon game being one). Top scorers Peterborough are second and interestingly Brighton are midtable. To convert shots to goals, Saints need 4.1 shots on target per goal while Brighton need 2.8 and Peterborough 2.2 respectively. Bournemouth and Huddersfield are around 3.3 mark.
  11. off for violent conduct!
  12. That's just reminded me of his sh!t effort for the crossbar challenge when at Saints.
  13. It would be interesting, although I think there are a couple of points to consider: 1) We are playing catch up and it maybe the case of we cannot afford to experiment in case it goes wrong. Which begs the question are the players/coaching staff good enough to adopt to a new strategy to cope with an injured player? 2) Currently we switch between a diamond and a flat(ish) midfield, try and pass the ball and press the opposition when we don't have the ball. This has worked fairly well, we've kept pace with Brighton since Adkins came in and perhaps if we hadn't had games postponed and were up the table with points on the board rather than games in hand. What is frustrating is the fact the players don't perform as well as they can (Oldham A, Tranmere H) consistenly and should be picking up a few more points (no I'm not talking about winning every game).
  14. And that would be a sign of a good manager and team - to be able to pick up points while coping with a lose/change to the team.
  15. That goes without saying and is the wrong way to look at things. Without finding out first, what measure would you use as an indicator as to how things are likely to turn out come the end of the season and why?
  16. You're got it right with the capital 'S' and lowercase 'b' in the place names. lol.
  17. You beat me to it. Jaidi defends differently to Seaborne and would have struggled if he had to keep the high line with so much attacking pace. I feel Seaborne is an adequate defender atm, has certainly progressed this season with his control etc etc but there is still more needed and hopefully he can deliever. As for Martin, Saints rebuffed an approach from West Ham for him so I hope it means he still has a future here and we get to see him more.
  18. Halford (loan) Hogg (loan) De laet (loan) Sonko (loan) Dickinson (loan) Cotterill (loan) They can still get two more in although four out of the eight must be under 23 and five at most can play at one time (I'm not sure if that is on the pitch or in the starting 11 plus subs).
  19. I agree, no reason why we cannot do both, although it's not going to happen ever game. So far since Adkins has been in place, we're matched Brighton point by point (may even be a couple in our favour) so the automatic promotion chase has been there.
  20. yes, final whistle now please.
  21. Everyone loves M... oh! His name isn't Roth is it?
