Not quite, although brief, he did have caretaker roles at Newcastle, WBA and Carlisle and was involved in the England U21s set up.

Out of interest what is this very good reputation within the game, as a statement it doesn't mean anything, where is the substance to support the statement besides the rumour?

It only seems Data Protection as a predicate rule has been broken but I would suspect their internal Quality procedures have not been followed. Are they members of BSI or other standards group? -
Thanks guys, some really great replies and some useful information to work through. I appreciate it.

Thanks for the info so far - it's not for the online gaming (my connection would be too slow anyway). It's purely for gaming as I have a blu-ray player and more specifically the adventure style games.

I'm looking for a new games console as I have a Nintendo Wii but there hasn't been any decent games recently. Generally play adventure type games mostly - Zelda and Lara and occasionally a few other action/adventure games (007 and Red Steel), a bit of Golf and Mario Carts. Out of the Playstation and Xbox, what are the pros and cons and which would suit best? Thanks.

Hopefully you can get compensation from your delays. -
My first car was a mistake but with my next I got the AA to do an assessment as I know bugger all about the mechanics of a car. It cost me £100 at the time but saved a couple of grand as the engine was shot. A mate did this at an auction, the car was fine and a bargain.
-
Sorry, I'm getting confused where this six months MOT has come from, I thought the car didn't have one, expiring in May - Saint Jonny can you clarify?
-
This is a great thread, thanks to Saint_Jonny for starting it, I'm sure he'll be more cautious now. I can see both sides - the winner was a dumbass and was taken advantage, St Jonny should have listed the facts only and avoided using opinion, especially as a lay person.

That's how the long ball theory started with Reep and Hughes!!!

More stats for you (On target/Off target/Hit Woodwork): Lambert 20/17/4 Rodriguez 13/17/1 Maynard 17/11/2 Sharp 6/3/0

Not read it anywhere but #SimonPeach but they are signing El Hadji Diouf. If true, that may confirm Sharp is on his way out.

Speaking before the match, he said: "I once had my doubt about staying at Southampton but not any more. I wouldn't want to go back to Italy now. I still don't like the cold weather and English food isn't my favourite. But what I do like here, more than anywhere I've been, is the people."

At least you had a nice comfy warm pillow in exchange. -
Surely it's coaching rather than facilities that matters most: Three years ago an official report concluded that coaching is the "golden thread" leading to international success, but new Uefa data shows that there are only 2,769 English coaches holding Uefa's B, A and Pro badges, its top qualifications. Spain has produced 23,995, Italy 29,420, Germany 34,970 and France 17,588.

I worked hard to keep the jokes in the spirit of the title and left a few out which fell well below that measure (unlike phil) ;-)

That is part of the problem. If the FA wanted to raise standards (coaching and Team England) surely the centre of excellence at Burton would have been build now instead of having new Wembley.

Everyone at my work mocks me for being a nerd, but tomorrow I'm going to bring a lump of coal in and show them what I'm really made of. . Who was the leader of the pedants' revolt? Which Tyler. . . A bunch of Polish scientists decided to flee their repressive government by hijacking an airliner and forcing the pilot to fly them to a western country. They drove to the airport, forced their way on board a large passenger jet, and found there was no pilot on board. Terrified, they listened as the sirens got louder. Finally, one of the scientists suggested that since he was an experimentalist, he would try to fly the aircraft. He sat down at the controls and tried to figure them out. The sirens got louder and louder. Armed men surrounded the jet. The would be pilot's friends cried out, "Please, please take off now!!! Hurry!!!" The experimentalist calmly replied, "Have patience. I'm just a simple pole in a complex plane." Einstein's girlfriend walked up to him and exclaimed ''I need two things from you, time and space.'' He looked at her inquiringly and asked ''What's the second thing?''

It's a shame for the lower league clubs especially those with a good set up. They will get more in the way of solidarity payments but less in what a youngster is worth. More youngsters will be going to the top clubs to learn, however, there is still the same restriction on squad size so those that do not make it will find themselves a lower league club and who is to say they will not benefit from learning at a good academy and then getting the league experience. I can see some positives if the lower league clubs can adapt and the solidarity payments are large enough.

There have been some good reports on this if you want more background information... Timeline of events... http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/interactive/2009/apr/13/hillsborough-disaster-police-south-yorkshire-liverpool?INTCMP=SRCH Articles of the diaster... http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/hillsborough-disaster It is a shame that there has been no conclusion to the disaster which seemed to have stemed from a combination of factors - fans behaviour, infrastucture, policing decisions, lack of leadership vary than one single factor.
