  1. A fair summary, although I don’t see the point of being nervous as it’s nothing fans can influence. You missed Smallbone as a returning loaner, who has performed well so far. If SR are interested in returning to the PL this season then the next two weeks are going to be huge, both in terms of quality of players coming in and who departs.
  2. NFL is number one, but that’s a league. Depends on what parameters the pillock has set for the grand statement.
  3. But it was known this was going to be a roller coaster ride of a transfer window. I think all of us are hoping by the end of the ride we have new players in the building which can help a promotion push. Still two weeks left.
  4. centre backs as it stands are: ABK Stephens Bednarek Lyanco Awe Discounting Simeu as I don’t know anything about him apart from loans to lower leagues. If ABK departs as expected, another defender is needed, if Lyanco goes - sold, loan or released, Awe will be the fourth choice CB but if Bednarek departs another CB is required. That’s how I see it.
  5. Is that allowed now?
  6. Yes, otherwise lost 1-0 in the SB cup in ‘21 and won 2-1 in friendly in ‘19
  7. Maybe have a basic pay structure and stick a performance related clause for all players - club does well then the players get rewarded. Cannot see it happening as players are on to a good thing as they are.
  8. Brighton have already got a replacement, it’s the replacement of the replacement they need to get in but they won’t as he will not be able to go into the first team for a few seasons.
  9. One Burnt out coach, one bonkers coach and one fashionista best maté coach.
  10. Profits
  11. I hope not, he cost me a tenner in my FF team!
  12. Unless options are running out for possible clubs to go to and pool of potential incomings reduced. Add a healthy sell on clause as Dortmund tend to get good prices to make up the shortfall.
  13. Brighton had a good group of players and decent manager, so not totally down to him. Let’s see if the can replace him and not lose other players to keep up their challenge to the big six. I’ll have to dig out Spike’s war memoirs - truly funny (certainly 40 years ago when last read)!
  14. They are further up the food chain but you could be right with Downes.
  15. Could have been much worse if they had more time with the ball and our defence being what it was. haven't the players been told to hold the ball to invite pressure so that space is created to be used? I agree that it’s pointless to continue to pass around the defence or pump it long in the hope of a knock down or inadvertent pass.
  16. Although harder to perform when the eleven have changed and calibre of players have dropped but it’ll be increasingly important now RM knows most of the supporting players are not up to following his tactics or committed to trying. It’s one thing having replacements ready and waiting for our saleable assets but time is moving for the more difficult to shift. I hope they have a plan as it’s important they are not at the club.
  17. As with the lack of a good striker and PL competent goalkeeper, set pieces last season were bad. Both attacking and defending them. The club have addressed one issue, seem intent to risk current GK position without competition unless McCarthy is being replaced. Still the transfer window is open for a couple of weeks so let’s see what happens.
  18. There are strength tests around - leg squats, hop tests. probably mechanical machines as well now to do specific measures.
  19. It could take some time with Daniel ‘low ball’ Levy in charge of bidding. Or do you think he’ll bid more than the last WHU bid?
  20. The owner wants out. Not a good time to be a blades fan.
  21. At least it’s consistent. England should have had a penalty in a previous match under the same circumstances of a player (cannot remember who) was run in to when in the penalty area.
  22. They are not negotiating with these bids below 40m and perhaps it’s arrogance if they haven’t done any research on SR’s stance this season to come up with an acceptable bid under 50m.
  23. What is the income and profit margins for a club like Liverpool? 500m+ and generally in always making money for the owners? Farcical they don’t want to pay what has been known as the price to get him. It just seems they feel they can bully their way to getting players, certainly the media are biased towards them.
  24. They tried to do it one season but only the PL did it and it was a disaster. Seems all the other countries were not interested and perhaps pulling one over the PL was worth more to them.
  25. He can walk away with what he has ‘earned’ while the fans suffer the consequences if it goes wrong. what are Burnley fans view on this Tella video and opening bid of 9m?
