  1. At least it’s consistent. England should have had a penalty in a previous match under the same circumstances of a player (cannot remember who) was run in to when in the penalty area.
  2. They are not negotiating with these bids below 40m and perhaps it’s arrogance if they haven’t done any research on SR’s stance this season to come up with an acceptable bid under 50m.
  3. What is the income and profit margins for a club like Liverpool? 500m+ and generally in always making money for the owners? Farcical they don’t want to pay what has been known as the price to get him. It just seems they feel they can bully their way to getting players, certainly the media are biased towards them.
  4. They tried to do it one season but only the PL did it and it was a disaster. Seems all the other countries were not interested and perhaps pulling one over the PL was worth more to them.
  5. He can walk away with what he has ‘earned’ while the fans suffer the consequences if it goes wrong. what are Burnley fans view on this Tella video and opening bid of 9m?
  6. Good call. Just a different development strategy based on the player’s needs at the time. I do wonder if the other clubs in the SR stable will be used for easy loans but may depend on how the teams intend to play and the division they are in.
  7. Not all youngsters go that route (Phil Foden) and some do it late (our own Harrison Reed).
  8. I cannot see any PL team he would potentially join this season or as a free next season offering that much. He’s just not worth it as a supporting striker.
  9. That should be seen as a talent in itself as demonstrated last season by the lack of it. I’d hope that Wilcox and Martin realise that.
  10. They could get Lavia and JWP for that price.
  11. And didn’t Arsenal have the youngest or second youngest squad in the league last season?
  12. Wages keep getting mentioned. Are we some super duper payers even accounting for the 40% reduction?
  13. Maybe it’s permission to talk between clubs first. Then personal terms and lastly the fee.
  14. Probably. Who knows as it’s mostly guess work and conjecture on here. I’d hope the club would be aware of the level of interest. The hard part is judging whether the interest materialises into acceptable bids.
  15. Still over a month to go and it seems the club are happy to play hard ball at the moment. I’m sure there are various scenarios planned for and would think potential cut prices are in place for certain players to get them out to reduce costs, especially if they are seen not being able to contribute to a promotion push. There is also the possibility it will be taken out of the club’s hands if a player strikes or submits a transfer request and likewise where a bid isn’t acceptable to the club.
  16. I expect August to be very busy. Hoping for some nice surprises for incomings if we do happen to clear the decks.
  17. Trippier is getting on a bit and with CL football if they make it to the group stages increasing the number of games, Tino will get games.
  18. Same. He’s obviously repaying Saints by getting a fee in 😒. I wonder what the clauses are and how much if any Chelsea get of it.
  19. His performance was a horror show for us.
  20. His performance was a horror show for us.
  21. He’s only got five to go. 124 league appearances, 25 goals
  22. Do you think Mara will develop further here under this new regime or has it got to the point he wants out or not bothered to try? He’s obviously talented but does he have the fortitude to progress? It would be best to see a new no1 come in and McCarthy go. If Baz thinks he’s no1 then he needs a challenge to get there.
  23. But is that the right type of experience to help fix pipes. There’s different types of experience you know!
  24. The World Cup break was similar in number of weeks to the end of season break now.
  25. Just missing his pipe and slippers.
