You agree that if we fail to beat Palace then we should sack Pellegrino , but don't think it will achieve much? so what would be the point then? Don't get your logic.
-
Yep agree 100%. Shows how much the club has ****ed up when 17th place is seen as "success"

When are you in a relegation battle and when are you not? When you are in the bottom 3? when you are a point above? 2 points above 3? At the end of the day Saints are one of a number of clubs that could go down, We are currently averaging a point a game, a few games ago it was more lose today and it will be less win and it will be more. A bad run between now and the end of the season and we could go down, a good run and another top 10 finish could be possible. Personally with the teams we have played, the amount of home games we have played and who we have played at home 18 points form 18 games is poor and I cant think anybody would have predicted it at the beginning of the season.

Without doubt Koeman was a fantastic manager for us He did however, despite all the sales in the summer of 2014 inherit the bases of a good squad. We still had Yoshida, Fonte and Clyne at the back, he brought in Forstr, Toby Alderweireld and Ryan Bertrand all fantastic signings at the time. We also signed Gardos! The midfield was arguably one of the best we have had Scheniederlin, Wanyama, Davis, Ward-Proswe and Cork. Attacking wise we had an injured Jay rod, a young Sam Gallager and Mayuka (yes i know he was ****) He brought in Pelle, tadic, Long and Mane who all again were fantastic players for us.(I know Tadic gets a lot of stick but personally with the right players around him he's still a great player). We signed a couple of players in January Elia and Durjic on loan. In his 2nd season again we had a solid squad. We sold Clyne, Scheniederlin. Toby didn't renew his loan and Forster was injured. We got in Stekelnburg, Cedric, Van Dijk, Clasie, Romeu all good signings(Personally I thought Clasie done ok) We also signed Martina and Juanmi. In January Cork left and Austin came in. I'm not so sure this squad of players are as strong as the squad Koeman had in his 2 season here and not convinced he would be able to sign the players he make think are required to improve us, but i do think he would get better out of the current squad than Pellegrino has so far. Like all managers there are always rumours that certain players didn't get on with him.

Which was closed on match days when when it 1st opened a couple of years ago. Has this now changed?

So was that 3/4 bedroom detached house in 2001.

When the clown finally gets the sack I hope we have a manager who comes in straight away, preferably the same day. We don't want to commit football suicide and have Black as a temporary manager even for a day. He needs to go to.

I wonder what day Van Dijk will get injured or become ill? I going for Thursday, just in time for the press conference "unfortualy Van dijk picked up a knock on training and will miss the match on Saturday"

Given where we were 7 years before that then maybe action is required . I guess your one of these people who sing "we've come from league One" well we Haven't the players , managers and even chairmen have long since gone .
-
Lets be honest, it wouldn't matter if they weren't we wouldn't test or put pressure on a "rooky" keeper anyway.

It tells me we are **** !

I thought I was the only person to notice this, they increased the away allocation to 3300 ish about 1/2 way through last season. Away teams now have more of block 43 then they used to. I'm not sure why they did this, I'm all for only giving away teams the 3000 maximum we have to. The rule is 10% of capacity or 3000 whichever is lower, clubs like Arsenal only give 2900 and use segregation of the reason why they don't offer the extra 100 seats. I'm sure if Saints wanted to then they could do something similar with the segregation and offer less than 3000.

Have to agree.
-
Is it not a catch 22? No team in the top 6 or 7 are going to come in for him, the reason - he's not good enough for them. If he was he wouldnt still be here. He's good enough for a team who are going to finsh below 7th .

I cant see us needing more really, we never travel that well past Birmingham really. Its not a new ground for many as we played them twice in league one plus we also played them in the league cup not long after the ground opened. Also being August a few fans will be on holiday. I cant see all our signings encouraging loads to go either!!

It says the allocation in the article .

You can sign 2 but have to release 4 - Who goes?
IFHP replied to Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd's topic in The Saints
Austin- too injury prone. Gardos - as above too injury prone and never been impressed with him when he has actually played. Target - we have better in Bertrand and McQueen. Reed - we have better. -
Luckily there are still a few hours until KO so you still should be ok..
-
Maybe you will be amazed at how many people don't spend all day discussing it at wondering what the new kit is going to be like, let alone start worrying about in in November.

12th we have signed the striker some of us were saying we required in the summer. However not replace Fonte in January along with the injury to Van Dijk means our defence is a lot weaker now. I wonder if Caceres will feature at Watford on Saturday.[h=1][/h]

Buy a young player for around £10 million or less and sell him 2 years later for at least £20 million. Get an unknown / untested manager in the premier league and get compensation for him 2 years later.
-
We need to sell to fund other deals .
-
For the league cup it's 10% of capicity, not the 15% it is for the fa cup .
-
We are on target to achieve around 40 points, easily enough to survive this season and bar some margin. The problem is next season once Van Dyke gets sold on the summer we will need to invest the money we receive from him wisely or we will be in trouble.
