  1. Not quite truw though is it - you have made a statment the Pompey way and missed out the fact you need to have a purchase history. https://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/news/2019/september/southampton-h-ticket-update/ Just like a they are saying our tickets have been on sale for 4 days and we have not shiffted 2000 yet - omiting the fact that to buy a ticket today you needed to have been to a set number of away games.
  2. You might be supprised, not many more tickets have been sold today since last night.
  3. My thoughts exactly. I’d love to smash them 5 or 6 nil
  4. I would be amazed if you didnt get a tickey with 8. Providing yoy buy when the tictets are availble to those with 8 away games,
  5. How many fans have not yet got their season tickets? Its hardly 1000's and I would sugust its less then 100 so I woudnt call it a "debacle" or "embarrasing as some are. Don't get me wrong the club is far from perfect but when they have around 18,000 or more season ticket holders there are always going to be some, for what ever reson don't turn up. (l less than 1%?). The club always sort out any errors , it main be a pain to go to the ticket offiec on a matchday to sort it out but its hardly the end of the world. I wonder how many tickets dont turn up for concernts etc.
  6. My season ticket still not arrived, i'm getting worried as i will need it in 9 days time.
  7. I think it will ruin the joy of scoring a goal which afterall is what football is all about. When a team scores you will have to wait a minute or maybe more before you will know if it stands or not. I thought when the idea of VAR was 1st thought about it was to change clear and obvious mistakes by the match officials, something that should be clear in 30 seconds. Now it seams that VAR will review a goal, penalty etc even if there has been no clear mistake. You cant expect a referee to get something 100% correct if it takes VAR 1 or 2 minutes using varoius angles and slow motions to enventually get to a decision.
  8. For what ever reason the ticket office have not made all the blocks for sale and seam to be releasing blocks as and when another block nears selling out. (this is the same for most away games). I would have thought the amout of tickets sold would be nearer 1000 then 2000
  9. Is it much different to playing any other team on a Friday night?
  10. Out of intrest, who would you drop from our midfield to play him?
  11. He already plays for a Lower League PL club.
  12. Have to agree you can do a hell of a lot more variation with a striped kit than a plain kit. As for better designs, again you are right some of the fans mock ups are so much better - the concept kit a few pots above being on example. Its a shame we have another 3 (?) seasons of Under Armour all 3 of thier home kits for us so far have been poor in my opionion.
  13. This rumour has been doing the rounds for a number of months now. Good player, who could still do a job for us. However the impression I get from the club is we will be signing young players with the aim of them doing well and selling them on. Not singing older players looking for their last big contract. He’ll end up at West Ham or Bournemouth
  14. Looking at that earlier table we only won 5 home games all season. we need to improve on that. Im not sure we’ll get the complete overhaul some might be expecting. Just maybe one or two players in the summer then another one or two in January .
  15. All away fans will pay a maximum of £30 next season. Including Saints fans we we travel away.
  16. Was always going to renew what ever league we were going to be in, though like others have said I won’t renew until the 17th May. As for the take up it’s difficult to predict but would have thought percentage wise the take up this year will be more then the last couple of years. i’m not sure the season ticket prices for a new season ticket will get many takers . My own opinion is that they should have been the same price as a renewal to encourage more people to buy one, especially after a successful end to the season .
  17. I Think some posters are arguing about the same thing. We are not a very good side but Hasenhuttl has got a poorside playing at the very top of their game. However we are still letting ingaols (late in some cases) and are still capable of putting in the odd poor performance(Cardiff / Palace at home for example). As for the original “why do we let in so many late goals” inmy opinion we have 4 centre half’s who either don’t read the game and not reactto danger quickly enough or just capable of making individual errors. As some posters point out in the summer transfer thread ,newplayers are required and some of the current squad need to be sold / loanedout.
  18. It is , the reasoning why West Ham want our game to KO early is you wouldn’t get from Stratford to Wembley for 5:30 if the game finished at 5.
  19. Fully agree, i think the club could have reduced the prices much more then they have, I'm not so certain that any shortfall would be made up with extra catering etc from a lower price. Just for example my ticket is in block 4 and this season it was £682 next season it is £660 but a new season ticket is £730 I cant see many being tempted by that. If the club had reduced tickets by £50 for example (block 4 would be £632) and we had 18000 season ticket holders then there would be ahort fall of £900000, however IF and its a big IF the cost of a new saeon ticket was the same as a renewall say £632 and that then attracted 1000 new season ticket holders then that would make £632000 up of that shortfall. I still cant see the balance of £268000 being made up by the 1000 buying food and drink etc but it would make up some. Just because I have a season ticket this season I do not see why a new season ticket should not be the same price as a renewall, as long as a season ticket was cheaper than buying match by match.
  20. This will be very intresting seeing how much they think they can get away with charging again. You would think that the fact we struggle to sell out games, even against the top sides and the discounts they have had to offer members to buy tickets for caertian games would suggest they / are were charging too much for this season. However with the much publised survey they gave out to season ticket holders earler in the season you wonder how divorced the club are from their fanbase. Will the club use the feel good factor surrounding Raplh's aapomiment and improved perfances to keep prices as they are or will they take note of the fact we struggle to sell out and reduce them?
  21. Yes I would say ever since St Mary’s opened the top clubs have had plenty of fans on the home sections. Some times maybe 200 or 300 dotted around , some can’t keep quite when their team scoreless orhersare more sensible and keep quiet - even when we score . Then you have the corporate blocks where saints give their guests one of the opposition shirts as part of the package. Unless the club ban the membership / name / season ticket who helped get any that were thrown out then it’s not going to stop.
  22. To be fair to him his right ,I am rubbing my hands with glee.
  23. Nor can we. Which as Ralph Hasenhüttl said in his interview after the Cardiff game, we cant keeping needing to score 2 or 3 goals just to win a game.
  24. Yep, agree with that. Its surprising how many seem to think that we are going to go on some kind of spending spree in the summer (if we stay up) without selling anymore players. The club have already suggested Hojbjerg will be sold by saying several top clubs have been looking at him.

Danny Ings is a great player when fit and is exactly what we need. However there is a reason why he is in a relegation battle with Saints rather than a title battle with Liverpool.
