  1. Yes I would say ever since St Mary’s opened the top clubs have had plenty of fans on the home sections. Some times maybe 200 or 300 dotted around , some can’t keep quite when their team scoreless orhersare more sensible and keep quiet - even when we score . Then you have the corporate blocks where saints give their guests one of the opposition shirts as part of the package. Unless the club ban the membership / name / season ticket who helped get any that were thrown out then it’s not going to stop.
  2. To be fair to him his right ,I am rubbing my hands with glee.
  3. Nor can we. Which as Ralph Hasenhüttl said in his interview after the Cardiff game, we cant keeping needing to score 2 or 3 goals just to win a game.
  4. Yep, agree with that. Its surprising how many seem to think that we are going to go on some kind of spending spree in the summer (if we stay up) without selling anymore players. The club have already suggested Hojbjerg will be sold by saying several top clubs have been looking at him.

Danny Ings is a great player when fit and is exactly what we need. However there is a reason why he is in a relegation battle with Saints rather than a title battle with Liverpool.
  6. Yet some on here were telling us it was a good thing .
  7. The black box needs a softwear update if its recent findings are anything to go by
  8. Following on from a thread on the uglyinside it would appear the club sent back 1000 tickets and we only took and sold 1300. A quick look on the Leicester website confirms this as they are selling tickets in block M2 which was originally part of Saints allocation. Why did the ticket office send tickets back with 3 or more weeks to go until the fixture? For Arsenal we have taken just over 2000 tickets with the statement "This is an initial allocation and subject to demand can be increased" whats the betting we have no intention of taking the extra 1000 tickets ?
  9. Well we are ****ed then as he will need to work a miracle to keep that pile of **** we currently have playing for us up.
  10. He's played in 3 league cup games, done ok and not let us down. Though as is typical now days all teams made changes and were arguably weaker then what would play in a league game.
  11. That's how I see it. When we signed McCarthy no fans would have though he would be our number 1 2 or 3 years later. He's an average keeper playing in a bellow average side. He certainly helped to keep us up last season and has kept us in games this season - he made some cracking saves at Huddersfield. Yes he probably could have done better with a couple of the goals we have let in but then so should have the whole team. However, I'm sure we didn't spend the money we did on Gunn to have him sitting on the bench for a few seasons - especially as we already had an adequate No 2 in Forster.
  12. I also noticed at Cardiff there was anempty block of seats to our right between us Saints fans and the Cardiff fanson the side. When both Leicester and Manchester utd went there they both filledthis block and had fans right up to the segregation barrier. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGrWn1wmJ8U A quick look on the Leicester City site confirms that Saints have not taken the full allocation as they have started selling tickets to their fans in block M1. Shame as I feel we could have sold the extra 1000 tickets seeing as there still 2 weeks to go.
  13. According to the website its sold out and no more are available - even though the original announcement said 2254 was an initial allocation. https://southamptonfc.com/matches/2018-19/leicester-v-saints-2019-01-12/ticket-info Strange have the ticket office done their usual and not requested the extra allocation ?
  14. Sell Gabbiadini and keep Austin. Austin at least actually cares, Gabbiadini looks like he couldn't give a ****. Also I think Austin would get us more goals too.

    Fan behaviour

Maybe we should sign the ****er up then.
  16. Yes , the squad of players we have are simply not good enough - even with the distinct possibility that it could be a record low points telly to stay up. Our problem , if the rumours are true and we have to off load players before we can bring any in , is who would want any of our players? Even for free let alone actually paying decent money for them.

    Hughes OUT

They might think they are good enough but what clubs would buy them? I honestly can't see any premier clubs wanting them - even the ones that come up.
  18. Not sure where you have been but McCarthy has the same song as Gabbiadini and Yoshida and Hoijberg also has a song though luckily it's different form the other 3! We really do have a lack of songs which is one of the reasons the atmosphere both home and away (I dont call singing oh when the Saints 20 times a game a good atmosphere) are poor.
  19. I doubt we will ever find out the results, but like others have said the way it was worded was to see if i was willing to pay more money for the privilege of a nicer concourse where i could buy better food - no doubt at inflated prices. Season ticket plus i think they called it. Well all it has done is made me even more likely not to renew and i said so in the feedback.
  20. Les Reed had a dream To build a football team He spent all the owners’ money But we’re **** in attack We’re crap at the baaack That’s why Les Reed – he got the sack.
  21. And thats our problem, 2 seasons ago if Yoshida was picked for the 1st team a lot of fans would moan and say how he wasn't good enough - backed up by the errors he made in a few games. Now he is seen as our best defender - he's improved but not that much. It goes to show how far we have fallen as a team.
  22. If you look at the other clubs below us all have played more top 6 teams than we have: Huddersfield have played Chelsea, Man City, Tottenham and Liverpool Newcastle have played Tottenham, Chelsea, ManCity, Arsenal and Man United. Fulham have played Tottenenham, Man City and Arsenal. Cardiff have played Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Tottenahm and Liverpool. On the radio before the Bournemouth game they were saying Both Bournemouth and Saints hand kind fixtures to start with. Bournemouth have taken advantage and got the points and Saints haven't. I would say Saints will be in the bottom 3 by Christmas after we have played Man City, Tottenham, Man United and Arsenal. I we have the January widow to strengthen, however our last 3 or 4 transfer windows have been poor and the players we have brought in are either out on loan or struggle to get in a very poor Saints team. Something needs to change drastically if we are to survive.
  23. Really? How many of our players would get in the Bournemouth, Watford, Everton, Wovles, Man U, Brighton, Leicester and Wet ham Teams? all are currently mid table. We very nearly went down last season, the players purchased in the summer have not improved the team and we sold our best playmaker. Its no surprise we are struggling.
  24. Still no conformation yet that we will play Tottenham at Wembley. Not sure why Tottenham are delaying the announcement, they must know where the game will be played.
  25. Although the game didn't sell out, there was no way 5000 empty seats on ticketing page on Saturday lunch time when I looked. At the game there were empty seats but not 5000 of them.
