Have to agree with this, though I do think every league in Europe need to agree to do the same thing. I do not want to mess up next season and the season after for thge sake of playing 9 or 10 games.
-
Can’t see the point of completing this season if and it’s a big if , it will ruin the next 1 or 2 seasons . Whatever the football authorities decide some clubs are going to miss out and others gain. Either way I think all the leagues in Europe need to agree to do the same thing. You can’t have one league being declared nul and void and a league in another country being completed and another league in another country not finishing the league and taking the table as it stands. Football wise the bigger issue is some ( a lot) clubs are going to go under if this continues for a few months which will probably make the decision for the football authorities for them unfortunately. Outside of football a lot of businesses are going to go under , people will lose their jobs if this continues for weeks / months. The world needs to find a solution / cure for the virus very soon .

Who cares about being fair when Loverpool are concerned? Cancle this season and we all start again in August. At least it will give the scousers something to moan about for a few years....
-
take out our 16 or so points over Christmas and the new year then I would say we have been showing relegation form for most Of the season
-
Its a shmae we have not got more songs like that, simple and easy to sing along to and clap etc. How good would it be if, like you say , we could be more like that more often. We did drown out the Newcastle fans, 3 times they tried and 3 times they failed to get heard in that 20 min or so spell. In the end they gave up. I would be intrested to know what they thought about it from the away end.

Have to agree with all of that. Our “blip” in form was that run of games between December and January. We won’t go down this season , I said at the start of the season we would finish in the bottom 6 - we might just scrape finishing a bit higher thanks to that “blip” in form. Next season however , we will be in a relegation scrap that we might not win. We probably need 4 or 5 good players and that’s without selling any of our 1st 11 and I just can’t see us doing that. It was baffling why we didn’t improve the squad in January.

Manchester Utd are one of the few clubs where they offer various allocations - 1800 , 2400 and the full 3000. 2400 is probably the right allocation for this one.

The support was again bad yesterday, not for the want of trying but together with the team beng **** its one of thm grounds that will always be hard to get any sort of chant going whee both tiers join in. For what iits worth, dispite winning 3-1 (and winning for the 1st time in ages) the West Ham support was just as bad.
-
We are not in a relegation battle in as much as watford , Bournemouth, West Ham and Aston Villa are nor are we safe - far from it . A few bad results and we will be right back in it . By the same token a few good results and we will be ok. I have always said this side is a bottom 6 side , thanks to our good run over December and January we may even finish above the bottom 6. With 31 points from 26 games if we go down then we would deserve too.

It does make me laugh when some fans say a certain player we are trying to off load is worth £15,000,000 yet others say we should only be buying / only can afford players in the £15,000,000 bracket..
-
Its strange how we allways get these so called good new stories appear when the club will soon announce season ticket prices for next season.....
-
To be fair Norwich have a big away support, esspicially for the size of there fanbase / club. OI think we would be able to take 9000 to tottenham if we had a months notice etc - the big question is though would our ticket office acually give us the opertunity to take 9000 away ? something we will have to wait and find out another year.
-
See the ticket office may have listend to the fans - maybe? Full 2600 for Norwich. https://www.southamptonfc.com/matches/2019-20/norwich-v-saints-2020-03-14/ticket-info

There are loads of clips on youtube with songs being sung by fans. Generally speaking the bigger clubs have the most varied and origanal songs - Man Utd, Liverpool, Celtic and Rangers etc.
-
And they will have plenty of them in our sections too.
-
Other than making 10 changes against Huddersfield and giving 2 youngsters their debuts ?
-
I would take winning a cup (FA or EFL) over a League position anyday of the week. Having said that im not looking forward to playing Spurs, we will be out sung by 5500 of the ****ers and I can see us losing. The FA Cup has lost its magic and you probably have to be in your late 30's or 40's to really appreciate what the The FA Cup meant.
-
This in a nutshell. Against Huddersfield we had just over 20,000 and hudersfield had around 350 at tops. As you point out at £10 per head against a more attractive team and a round later we would have sold out.
-
100% agree. This really needs bringing up with the club at the next forum. Spurs , Wolves, Norwich , Palace , Arsenal, Man Utd and even Pompey have all played here in the FA cup and only been given 4800 with most of block 41 and all of block40 for Saints fans. Its not like we wouldn’t sell out at the prices the club have announced . Clueless.
-
There was a fans meeting last night with the club, it would be intresteing see if the subject of away tickets came up.
-
Exactly that. Its not like goal line technology which is a fact, is instant and a good thing for the game. Nobody has ever had a debate as to if the ball just crossed the line or not.
-
So what you are saying is you want VAR to ref the game and take the human factors out. ? It’s not what I want but there you go each to their own .
-
I think the powers that be need to say what VAR is acually for, it was my understanding that it would only be used for clear and obvious mistakes by the ref and linesmen. To me the VAR ref saying after 2 mins and various angles and lines drawn on the screen that a players toe was offside by 2mm or so is not clear and you would not expect a ref or linsman to see it in normal game time - if the VAR team cant decide after 15seconds then the original decision should stand. This should be for evey decision not just off sides. Its seems to me, especially for off sides that VAR is actually refering the game and that is something i thought it was not brought in to do.
-
Yes, exactly that. Have to agree the club seemed to think spending £15m on a was the same as spending £15 on a player 4 or 5 years ago. Ross Wilson had great delight in rhe summer telling us at the fans forum how we had our best results (think he ment specd 15m sell for 30m) in the £10m- £15m bracket and how we wouldnt spend much more. Thought at the time now days that £15m player would be the bestr part of £30m now days.

Ok I’ll change my statement we have never taken our full allocation entitlement to Liverpool since we came back up. One season we only took around 900 though that was either a mid week game on an early Sunday . You are right though we normally sell out the allocation we do take . like you I’ve been to Anfield over 20 time’s .
