If Lovren went on strike, he wouldn't get paid. And it saints didn't have to pay him, we really wouldn't care about him striking. Counter intuitive really.
-
Well that certainly indicates 2 or more foreigners and 2 or more Brits

Schneiderlin showed his loyalty by staying with us in league one when all on the french youth set up were telling him to leave. While I don't want him to go, I wouldn't begrudge him a move.

Billy is back for preseason https://mobile.twitter.com/billysharp10/status/482516973587533824 "Adz &*@LukeShaw3*have now left saints congrats you 2 good luck great moves and both deserve it,I'm not guna hardly know anyone on Tuesday"

Some of you will disagree, but this pretty much sums up the feelings of us "glass half full" fans. http://thepremierleagueowl.com/in-decline-no-southampton-have-never-looked-better/

Poll. Can Saints replace our players this Summer?
Nolan replied to SaintRobbie's topic in The Saints
it seems to me we are having necessary surgery to remove players who were obviously only willing to accept a Cortese / Poch regime. we have the same scouting network who got us Davis, Wanyama, Lovren, Clyne, Rodriguez, Boruc -
Seeing as Koeman retweeted: "Les Reed: “Luke’s transfer fee will be reinvested into the team as @Koeman1963 builds for the new season and for years to come.” #saintsfc" yes

As of 27/6 we have 14 over 21 players remaining from the closed term, and Gazzaniga will have to be included as a full squad player next year taking it up to 15:- (U21 in italics) Boruc, Davis, Gazzaniga Clyne, Fonte, Hooiveld, Lovren, Yoshida (Chambers) Cork, Schneiderlin, Wanyama (Ward-Prowse) Davis, Lallana, Ramirez, (Reed) Rodriguez (Gallagher) plus potentially.... Mayuka / Osvaldo / Sharp room for 7-10 over 21 players.

I see a flaw in that.... " Ronald Koeman targets Champions League spot" http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/sport/football/premierleague/article4122314.ece Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk

Thats ludicrous. Reed was put in charge of Football development and recruitment in April 2010. He would've been sacked by Cortese if he wasn't particularly good in that role. No one lasts for 4 years by winging it.

just looking at Dejan's twitter profile. Could have sworn it was him in croatian colours the other day. Now its back to all Southampton related picks. Here's hoping the chance of working with one of the greatest attacking defenders of all time may have persuaded him to stay, at least until the January window.

Schneiderlin's twitter profile had no mention of saints last week. It does now. Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk

The express reported 50 million on the first of June. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/479575/Ronald-Koeman-promised-50m-transfer-kitty-as-Saints-close-in-on-Pochettino-replacement from that article "However, the amount available for transfers at Southampton is likely to be increased should any of the club's stars command substantial fees" easily believable its gone up to 70 WITHOUT players going out, as KL is likely to want to prove commitment going forward.

Stories say it didn't work well when Van Gaal was director of football at Ajax and Koemans was manager. Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk

Saints have the upper hand. Do these players want to risk deselection from national teams by not performing of they're not sold? Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk

last season he mainly switched between an offensive 4-3-3 and a defensive 4-3-3 he played 5-3-2 in three matches in the closing stages of the season. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/feyenoord-rotterdam/spielplan/verein/234/saison_id/2013

My Brother in Law is a Celtic Supporter, he's been saying all season that Van Dijk is the player that is simply too good for them to keep hold of at the wages they pay. Obviously it wasn't against Premier League quality teams, but he took part in 18 clean sheets for Celtic in the League last season.

He's been in Turkey since this time last week.
