  1. As with the Wilde one, although this looks as though it was answers to questions from The Echo as opposed to a prepared statement: "It's sad for the shareholders and I'm one of them, but I'm not worried about the money I've lost - it's the other fans, what about them? I didn't buy my shares to make money. When I bought my shares it was a long term invesment and I never expected to get my money back, so i'm not worried about my shares. We don't need the history of why we're here at the present time, because I believe that will filter through to the manager and the players. There will be an inquest, but that's got to be when we are safe. I would ask everyone who loves this club to forget about personalities and get back in that stadium and get behind the lads. We have got every chance if we do that. We've played some good football under Mark Wotte and we can do it. We have got every chance to avoid relegation, so let's get behind them. Come on you reds - that's got to be the message. We've got to pack the stadium out for these last three games. If we can do that then we have got every chance of staying up." Crouch is hopeful there is someone out there who will take on the club........... "We have all these great facilites. We wouldn't be a PLC any more, it will be a private company and it will be clean and easy, and I believe someone will come in and do a deal with the banks. Hopefully we will have a buyer out there that sees the tremendous potential of the club - it's a fantastic opportunity for someone" But Crouch refused to be drawn on whether he would consider buying the club. "I think at the present time I wouldn't want to make any comment. It really needs to unravel, what's actually happening"
  2. you're wrong. They have defintiely left and are no longer involved,
  3. I'm on about using it as the shell vehicle to perhaps try and do something positive given that we don't have much time. I'm not about personalities, egos or being a mouth piece, merely using it as something that people can use to get something moving.
  4. Methinks you may have proved Trousers point!!!
  5. Typed up so please forgive any fck ups and shortenings (e.g. SLH PLC): "It is very sad that is has become necessary to suspend the shares in SLH PLC. Although SFC Ltd continues to tarde, we are now living on vorrowed time. Investment is essebtial if it is to survive. Everyone is aware of the the current economic climate and the meltdown in the banking sector, unfortunately this has directly led to our current situation. Our bankers, Barclays bank, significantly cut back our overdraft facility level in October last year, in my view effectively starving the company of working capital and frustrating our budget forecasts. As a result, we needed to rase significant funds during the January window, but to no avail, again as a direct esult of the cash crisis affecting affecting many football clubs. On a personal level, I have worked continually in the background for the last three years to try and secure these much needed funds. There have been many meetings and discussions, but unfortunately no one of sufficient wealth and ambition has so far come forward. Hopefully, with the events of the last 24 hours, any seriously interested buyers will be inclined to show their hand at last and come forward to save this great club. There is no doubt in my mind that this club represents the very best value for money any investor could imagine, with facilities and real potential for Premiership football. It would be truly wonderful for someone to come in with both the vision and resources to take us forward. Certainly, no investor could fail to be impressed by the passion and commitment of oru supporters - a fundamental reason why this club would have such potential in the hands of the right person. Whilst the board has done everything in its power to continue trading, by cutting costs and player wages, the core overhead of running a new Premiership stadium together with its correspondingly high running and maintenance costs, combined with the withdrawl of a significant proportion of our financial facilities, have finally led us to a situation where we cannot continue to trade without substantial external investment. Hopefully, this will materialise within the next few weeks and SFC will be able to continue operating as a viable entity for the benefit of both the local community and all supporters. In the meantime, it is imperative taht we continue to fight for our Championship survival . Mark Wotte and the squad are completely focussed on the atsk in hand and I am confident that they can deliver the results we need over the coming few weeks"
  6. Ok off I go then.
  7. Is the Wilde piece been put up here anywhere??? If not I was up for typing it up and/or the Crouch piece as well
  8. The vehicle is already there in The Saints Trust. If anyone was really serious about it then I'm sure this vehicle could be used for an initiative like this. I'm not talking about those individuals currently or previously involved (they would surely step aside), but if a shell company was needed then it's ideal in the first instance.
  9. No, you're quite right, you used terms and descriptions much more colourful and outlandish in your descriptions and then included my name in stating it was me berating and offering out youngsters, families and old people when I was actually sat some 6 or 7 blocks away next to Exit2.:---):---):---) All complete bullsht of course and no wonder it was removed, so please forgive me if I take your rather belated faux apology with a pinch of salt. You're quite clearly either a fantasist, a liar or an internet weirdo and however many times you post under The Bear, Flashman, Sundance or your latest reincarnation your posts still don't et any better:rolleyes:
  10. I don't often like to get personal, but you're quite right there. Winging it springs to mind when I read his drivel. I'd need to be on here full time to continually correct all his noddy assertions and assumptions.
  11. I really don't know where to start in tearing this tripe apart, so will just have to leave it for now. Your analysis of the situation has been found wanting on numerous occasions from the 50% wage bill through to the 5million warchest left by Lowe, so I shouldn't be too surprised by this post on here today. You really have no clue about how events unfolded that year andyou've been making stuuf up as you go along for ages with this regards.
  12. But that was after the summer of 2007, when we had just been dumped out of the play offs. I can clearly remember saying they should be implementing Plan B and not spending beyond our means, but they continued to spend, with no one holding them to account as the three shareholders *****ed amongst themselves until Crouch & SISU forced the issue that Autumn.
  13. You would have thought so, the way people went on that there were no other alternatives!!!!
  14. The bloke on Radio Hampshire just said that the ticket office told him that they hold sold over 24,000.
  15. Where have you been these recent months;)
  16. No it isn't. Net debt is calculated by adding up all the loans, O/D's etc and then including any positive bank balances/deposits. I think you're getting confused with a net assets calculation.
  17. To be fair to Hone and others, they were upfront that the money spent that summer was "in staged payments for the players, but it's been done on debt by and large". I'm sure he and others thought some cash would be raised (and he said as much at the Solent forum that summer), so although he misjudged Wilde (and others) who didn't cough up and, who should therefore take some blame, I don't think it was that summer's spending that killed us. In fact after that first season net debt was reduced to it's lowest for years and costs had been reduced. They also followed the start by Lowe who spent £2m on Rasaik and who had also given Burley and others the impression money would be forthcoming with his warchest quotes in the run up to the EGM. But I would have been much harsher on Hone and co for their failings to cut back and implement Plan B in the summer following our failure in the play offs. At that point they should have cut back and not sanctioned monies on Euell, Thomas etc. They made some poor decisions, but it would never be deemed gross misconduct and sadly just like when Lowe and Cowen received their share of half a million+ when they were removed for failing in 2006, Hone and co were legally entitled for their pay offs as well. Whilst both Lowe & co and Hone & co were legally entitled to those monies, I just can't halp but think it's morally wring considering both were removed from office for failing in their jobs.
  18. Along with the lawyers as bods from Freshfield's don't come cheap!!!!!!!
  19. After Exit Number 17, Lowe finally admitted that he wasn't cut out for the job.
  20. Thanks for that, it certainly gave me a reason to chuckle on such a dark day!!!!
  21. Why's that then???? :rolleyes::rolleyes:
  22. One of these reasons why I thought it was so wrong has been highlighted by today's events, in that as long as it is a Club run initiative it will only happen when those at the Club believe in it and any change could well put it in jeopardy. It has to be an independent initiative led and driven by supporter's and not at the behest of those temporarily in charge at any given point.
  23. You tell me where I sit, after all you continually post up here (before it is quite rightly removed) stating that you have seen me running amok in Block 10.:---):---):---):---) Fact is like most of your posts on here, it's either bullsht, lies or twaddle.:rolleyes: Come over and say hello on Saturday, after all you know who I am and where I sit:D:D
  24. Fcking hell, we're talking about an ex player who was owed money for a testimonial here, not sitting on your normal creditors payments to improve your cash flow!!!!! We were still firmly in the Premiership (the game was at the end of the 2003/2004 season), so to suggest we hold on to monies owed for a good cause is good business is morraly bankrupt IMHO. I understand Williams said something like when he rang Wallace up a good time later, he had only received something like £14,000 and it took some phone calls from him and a fair few months to pass for that figure to rise to £100,000+. Wallace joined the Club in 1977 as an associate schoolboy, made his debut as an apprentice in 1980 and left us in 1989 after many years, over 300 appearances and something like 80 goals. Given his service and his subsequent diagnosis, I think his was worthy of a testimonial and from what Williams is supposed to have said, perhaps worthy of being treated slightly better than being dumped in amidst the normal creditors!!!!!!!!
