Never fails to bring a smile to my face!! which isn’t a bad thing given that there is nothing to smile about with regards the Club.
  2. So sorry to hear of Minsk’s passing. My heart goes out to his friends and family.
  3. Hi there, I'd really appreciate it if you could share or donate to this GoFundMe, https://www.gofundme.com/f/fundraiser-in-memory-of-sibs?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=sms&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet
  4. If you know Southampton, then you surely knew Sibley. Sad to hear that our dear fellow Saints fan Lee White (Sibley) has passed away. From St Mary’s to The Dell (to Zorbas), Sibs was a huge face on the local scene. Cheeky grin, infectious personality and time for everyone. A true mush, RIP fella xx
  5. In which case, Ralph has to take a large chunk of the blame for today’s defeat, as that decision was woeful. On the VAR issue, something has to be clarified regarding the linesman flagging and the referee noticing, but deciding not to blow if there’s a goal scoring opportunity, instead waiting to see how it pans out and I presume then going to VAR if a goal is scored. Twice today we stopped after the linesman flagged and we didn’t bother defending (McCarthy nonchalantly stopped an effort with his foot as he thought it was offside). Mate mentioned Newcastle scored under similar circumstances, so we need clarity here.
  6. I know we’ve shipped a few goals in recent games, BUT Ralph has to explain why he played Vestergaard! He was awful and gave the whole team (& crowd) the jitters every time he got near, or nowhere near the ball. ok in the first half, very poor in the second against really shte opposition. Missed Redmond and Boufal. Obafemi really is poor. still looking over our shoulders. and the tubby ref, LOL
  7. So which one of our two absolutely horse central defenders was at fault there then? The pair of them have been an accident waiting to happen. Shocking
  8. Danso is absolute horse
  9. It’s an amazing feeling isn’t it!!!! Having your first child isn’t too shabby either
  10. I’m no apologist for the error prone Yoshida, who was only a squad player when we had a decent back four, but it’s a testament to how bad I think Stephens is, that I’m actually pining for Yoshida. Historically, we had a decent track record of replacing centre halves (Lovren, Anderweild, Van Dyk, but we’ve not repeated that since Fonte left. As others have said, we’ve never resolved that and have ended up relying on players who previously wouldn’t have got a look in.
  11. He is absolute dogshtt. He must be awful if I’m desperate for Yoshida to be put in in front of him.
  12. I won’t say how many people the main steward said got bounced back as don’t want to give the Club and stewards too much of a hard time, but it wasn’t handled very well. Ended up missing what sounded like a really good first 30 minutes. if you’re spending £700 on a season ticket, have gone out of your way to help the Club after you’ve received someone else’s ticket in addition to your own and have done nothing wrong, then I think you’re allowed a moan.
  13. Arrived to quite a scrum outside the Itchen as tickets (paper and season tickets) were being rejected. Shouldn’t have chuckled as mine got bounced back as well!! Turns out that after receiving someone else’s season ticket as well as mine, and emailing the club yesterday to let them know, my season ticket ticket was cancelled. Outside now trying to get it sorted!!!
  14. SNAP Mine for the Itchen arrived yesterday, which was strange as I also received one last week! When I then checked the name on the one from last week it was Sam C****** in the Northam!!
  15. Heard a couple of weeks ago that Cedric has been in a strop since the Summer when we turned down an offer from PSG and the new fella is not prepared to put up with anyone who is not fully committed to the Team. If this is the case then I have to back the manager, even if short term it weakens us (but given Cedric’s recent performances, we’re not that weakened!).
  16. Go and watch the elbow to Karius and you will notice he gets pushed in to the keeper by VVD. I think Ramos makes a bit of a meal of it, but you could be arguing for a penalty in the first instance. The Salah incident was a bit of rough and tumble and good defending by Ramos. The injury was never intentional. Mane caught him but Ramos massively play acted. then again I’m still too busy chuckling over all the grown men wailing and crying
  17. Bless him, one of Ron’s 22.
  18. Absolute dogshhtt and one of many reasons why we are struggling. Should be 4th choice at best, only used when we are absolutely desperate due to injuries and suspensions.
  19. But there are no leaders in that team and certainly no one who can grab the rest of the team by the scruff of the neck and get them going. Austin would be the only one, as he did last year when Puel was playing for draw against Man Utd, but he’s not around. Plus I can’t think of anyone else who would back him up. One (of many) deficiencies in recent recruitment is the lack of leaders on the pitch. I’d almost forego some talent at the moment if we had a blood and guts player in the squad. He’s lost the dressing room and most of the players don’t give a fcck, they’ve already got an eye on where they will be parking their Rangeys next season!
  20. Just like Yoshida, he is an admirable back up (we wouldn’t be able to accommodate 3 decent centre halves with one always on the bench, so we have to accept someone of the calibrate of Yoshida or Stephens playing when injuries or suspensions dictate). BUT there is no way he should be a regular. One of our shortcomings recently has bit been replacing Fonte. We have needed a centre half for a year now and that is somewhat depressing.

    “Plan B”

snippets I’ve heard were that ****ic who is playing in The Bundesliga was back up to Promes, but we left it too late to get him in. And one of the reasons Promes didn’t come is tha Spartak didn’t have enough time to sort out a replacement. With money in the bank we should have sorted stuff out much earlier in the window. Considering we’ve not replaced VVD either (I see Hoedt as Fontes replacement) it has been a poor window and last nights line up showed what a mess we are in. Devoid of tactics, unaware of his best line up, with quite a few players clearly not playing for the manager along with others who have had the life sucked out of them, I can’t see how we will survive. We are in a very bad way!
  22. Was it an evening game? If so, I reckon that was my first away game too.

    Lemina!

Not fit AND has had a falling out with Pellegrino.
  24. Sat here level with the six yrd box thinking exactly the same. Surely he has to dominate the box!
  25. Drab, dull and far from inspiring. Think the majority of fans ate thinking the same as the players. First time ever that our group of 8 have not stayed for the lap and of honour. Not massively Puel out, but something has to change.
