  1. Can you imagine how fucking thick this pond life is. Socialisation imposes boundaries regardless of percieved loyalty to a cause, and I can’t abide Liverpool.
  2. They invented delusion, along with dugouts.
  3. Do you work for Red Funnel Ferries? 😂
  4. More hopefully, another club’s.
  5. To be honest he’s been redundant for the last six years.
  6. The death of a thousand cuts - at the near post!
  7. I reckon Dragan has had Ruud Van Nistelrooy transported to Staplewood. The three amigos are currently softening him up - the nice cop, nasty cop, inept traffic warden routine.
  8. Agree with this. Jones was Sport Republic’s first choice when Saints were relatively stable, stock was relatively high. The mid season preseason and upcoming window a remarkable gift. Had they made a credible appointment at that point we would have stayed up. Selles was a stop-gap that in many ways flattered to deceive because he won that first game against Chelsea, in the weeks that followed he was clearly out of his depth. The incoming appointment cannot be in the same vein as the last two, pray that the incoming Wilcox and Mowbray have had primary input this time around.
  9. At last some self-awareness!
  10. You should always remember that with Bitcoin, the performance of your investment can go down as well as up.
  11. #September
  12. Think it’s likely that McCarthy will go as a back up to a Prem team and that Martin will be introduced to Bazunu as his number one for the promotion push next week. It’s the hope of the bleeding obvious that kills you.
  13. Once it became clear that it was a done deal with Martin, there’s nothing that fans could do other than support him, though the Jones debacle has cost Sport Republic any goodwill in terms of their expertise or decision making abilities. The likes of Viera or a canny gravitas appointment like Kompany at Burnley last season would have made for a much easier ride in ‘selling’ a compelling reset in the Championship but a heady mix of arrogance and naivety looks to have prevented that. Martin, though quite dull, seems likeable and played at the top level, so at least SR isn’t paying compensation for a person in danger of detention under the Mental Health Act this time around.
  14. Agree, a solid and reliable keeper should be first on the summer shopping list - rebuild the spine from there - but what’s the betting Sport Republic think they can get away with Bazunu.
  15. Not as much as a wank!
  16. Russell Martin will have a semi-on in hospitality.
  17. Probably that if he had stayed there that Luton would have gone up as champions and been unbeaten since last autumn.
  18. Jim Davidson.
  19. Maresca or Borrell? I think at last count Guardiola had about 18 assistant coaches so it could be pot luck - fish in a barrel for Ankersen with Dragan's cash, imagine the spreadsheet. Now, that would be a genuine clusterfuck, but you have to say very Sports Republic Saintsy.
  20. More incompetent club mentality than small club mentality - defeat from the jaws of success.
  21. That’s the winner for next season, such an easy gain. Watch them fuck it up.
  22. With you on this, and giving it a go. Nowt else we can do as fans. He seems likeable, mentally stable and at least played at the top level, so there is a slight learning curve 🙂
  23. I'm backing Russell Martin also, we are no longer a Premier League side and the chance to actually build something over a genuine close season into a new league should be rather refreshing after the dire shite of false dawns and predictable disasters we've had to endure over the last few years. The Board must fully back him for this to work of course, and that includes a new spine of his choosing, hopefully no more silly gaming with YTS candidates it's about getting a similar blend to what we had in 2011/12. As with Nathan Jones, since the news broke I have watched as much as I can in terms of RM teams and his interviews. He is likeable and appears affable, but I think there is an edge there also, and he'll need that also - the touchline brawl and his sending off at Luton in March was a recent demonstration that the competitive edge is still there. With football who knows how things will end up, but I can see the possible fit this time. I wish him the very best and hope we tear up the Championship next season, possess the living shit out of it! COYR.
