Presumably that 15% goes into the good causes pot? Rather than Camelot's pockets?

Exactamundo! Mr Claridge should be asked if he would be prepared to reduce his punditry fees or, maybe, give half of said fees to the bestest.

Hmm - I can't see it It says 5 tweets but only 4 are showing in response to their original tweet. Mind you, I'm new to this twittering malarky so maybe I'm doing something wrong.

My tweet was up there for about 1 minute and now it's disappeared

This is the nub of it. PE should be about learning and understanding about the body and things like hygiene, sensible eating, drugs alcohol and smoking etc. etc. Sport is, well, sport. I hadn't been aware of SSPs , now that I am, I think it's a shame it was stopped. I do know that my SiL, a primary school teacher, gives up two late afternoons (after school) a week to coach the school's football and now cricket teams and has instigated inter-school matches. Obviously, he doesn't get paid for this. He also spends most Saturday mornings at the driving range with his 3 year old son who, already, has great style and technique! My only other thought, based on experience, is that some children just don't enjoy sport for whatever reason. I loved it at school (county level netball, and school lacrosse team). Had there been options such as dance at my school, I'm sure a lot more would have engaged in some sort of physical activitiy.

Yes it was Steve. I'd be grateful if you would check and restore me to full working order
-
Oh dear - I'm still waiting for my full membership to be restored even though the subscription left my bank on Thursday last week. I'm a bit fed up with ads offering me the opportunity to date older women - I AM one and not that way inclined FFS! And I'm being denied the opportunity to offer my five pence worth to discussions - I'm not used to being shut up like this!

Been a few close shaves

I didn't know this until tonight but it seems they have 6 set dives but they can choose the order they do them in. The gold and silver medals went to the guys who did their most difficult dives last whereas he'd done the most difficult one earlier.
-
Tom Daley in gold medal position with only one dive to go!
-
That was amazing! I was screaming at the TV - what a man!

Wouldn't their fees be classed in the same way as lawyers' fees? If you win a case / divorce settlement / will, the legal fees are taken out before any dispersion of the money you receive.
-
TB was appointed at the suggestion of HMRC. Too much of a conspiracy theory to suggest that HMRC said to TB 'drag it out as long as you possibly can for as big a fee as you can' in the hope that HMRC can finally exact revenge?

Well, I'm watching the Rhythmic Gymnastics - amazing and no need for any illegal substances for those performances.
-
Hasn't he also been doing his A levels?

I thought all winners were routinely tested after the event - aren't they?

Tia Sharp - The Missing 12 Year Old - Development In Case
bridge too far replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Lounge
It's a sad fact that in the majority of abuse / murder cases involving children, the perpetrator is a member of the (extended) family. I guess that's why the grandmother's partner was interviewed. Poor little mite, I hope she's OK but the longer this drags on the less likely that will be the case. -
Or he could get hold of some beagles to flush it out and maul it to death.

Did the rat seem to be collecting antiques?

My son lives in Twickenham - hugely expensive as is Richmond.
