Play a full back at full back. When will you learn Koeman?
-
As I see it we have to possible scenarios left. 1, We have a total incompetent board and director of football 2) KL is more clever than we thought and will shortly be the first person ever to make money on owning a football club. All done with tons of broken promises and betrayed fans. To be honest, don't know which one I prefer.

Left back. Little bit fat nowadays and my prime was losing 0-8 against Reading in their promotion season. Glen Little had me in his pocket...

This is the worst mistake of them all. Why? This is destroying our philosophy. By selling a player raised within our clubs before he's even made his breakthrough sends a statement to all other young players. The message should be clear, we will raise you to a good footballer. Then you give back with a few years playing for the first team, then we listen to offers. Selling Shaw was ok, selling Chambers not as he was supposed to be the man stepping up. To be honest, you can understand why people wants to leave, and why we are struggling replacing them. All our hope is in Koeman's hand which is due to very bad top level management. If Ronald is slightly successful and leave next summer we will have the same problem again.

Lallana completes move to LFC for a fee of around £25m
sir_fred replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
It all leaves a bad taste. Interesting question, if he fail would we welcome him back like Spurs did with Robbie Keane for a cut price deal? -
Either we like it or not, we would have a different summer with Cortese. Our club may not be a CL-club in the long run but this was out chance of going for it. Building a new squad is like a lottery as we have seen we our signings since we made it back to PL. I think we should have gone for it but the lady with money didn't. Fair enough.

The press seems to come with a Liverpool Agenda. All media reporting the bid as a take it or leave it. They also write that there is a risk of upsetting a loyal player. It is as if Liverpool media department has written the articles.
-
This is not merely about a price tag. It is about broken promises, a weak board which will encourage big clubs to steal our players and mainly a lost belief among fans and players. Lambert was the first signing showing we were going places and the first sale showing we are in decline.

We do not now what the future holds but for me RK has forever lost my trust. You do not sell your star striker the day after you say no one will be sold before a new manager comes in.

Help needed! I am huge Swedish saint fan and have ended up in quite i situation due to the slashed ticket prices. Me and 3 friends booked flights to the Swansea game back in December after the Saints ticket office said that it shouldn´t be a problem to get tickets to the game. Now they are answering that season tickets it a must to be able to get tickets. It would be a real disappointment travel to Swansea not being able to watch the game. Anyone out there who could give us a helping hand? Would mean the world to us.

Two possible big club rejects. Marin and Coates? Just a year since they were regarded as players with high potential.
-
Cork is one of our most important player and this is a big blow. He does miss that attacking threat but is very important in our building-up play and he keeps the ball going and is always available for a pass. Just look at the diffrence at United when Scholes got back...

Summer 2012 HCDAJFU Thread - Premier League Special Edition

Swedish international Emir Bajrami is available from Twente. Have had a tough season but he is a good pacy winger who knows how to beat his man. -
I know that Cortese is looking at Barcelona with several starters inte first team from the academy. That will take a really long time and probably won't actually happen. I would though be very pleased if our youth development can work as it does in Man U where they though have failed to deliver starting players the last couple of years but have delivered plent of squad players. Own developed players are much more likely to accept a role on the bench and will behave better. I think it is the right step to promote those players as I prefer them to players like Puncheon in the squad anyday. All signings this year should also be better than those we have.
-
The strenght in deep within the squad is why I think we will make it. "And no WE're gonna believe it, and now we're gonna believe it. The Saints are going up."
-
Most importantant game of the season. Ok, I know that might not be fully truth but my point is coming from a couple of hard fought away wins and going in to a supposed easy home game is always tricky and demand character. 3 points to win today. Come on Saints!

Any Saints in Stockholm who plans to watch the leicester game on Monday at a pub?
-
Good win against a lame Forest. The game was quiet even before the sending off but after the red Forest just couldn´t handle our possession football. MOTM by a mile was Jos who won everything. I was also impressed by Lallana who might not have had the best game attacking wise but his work rate was great to see. He clearly has his heart in this promotion chase.
-
As a few has mentioned the of competition does not do him any good. The ideal would be to signed an almost ready keeper who can push him on and be ready to take over. Have been talks about Smithies and Lewis but not sure how they have developed this year?
-
I just looked at the highlights and once again Davis lets a rebound bounce straight out(for their first goal). I have all the respect for what he have done for us but he needs to address this area quickly as he gives away easy goals at the moment.
-
He is a an average player. Descent going forward, descent defending but only plays for Sweden due to a total lack of full backs.
-
We need to push on. There were plenty of eyebrows raised when we signed Fox as we already had two decent left backs. I think now we all agree that Fox has raised our game. 1-2 new players who are better than what we have is needed in January.
-
As one of few on this forum who has seen him play I can assure you that he is a great player. It is quite clear though that he has lost some confidence in Scotland. If Adkins can restore his confidence and get him to play at the level he did in Sweden, then I am sure he will a great player for us.
-
Dutchman who made his name playing for AIK Stockholm in 2009 when they won the Swedish premiership. A tall aggressive player with good leadership attributes. As I remembered him he also have quite a good left foot. Would be really pleased with us signing him although him not really breaking through in Celtic..

Jordan Rhodes as a budget alternative? Scored three against Cardiff and has a descent record, although in League 1...
