Unfair to judge him on that performance alone. I'll wait a few more games until I pass judgement on him.
-
Thought they said it was his groin but you never know with Saints, he could've lost a leg for all we know.
-
Kevin Phillips always seems to play well/scores against us after we shower him with abuse.

Safe to say I was not expecting that! Nice bit of PR work from Cortese. Puncheon showed him up in public and surprise, surprise, the first line of Puncheon's statement mentions what a top bloke he is. Cortese cracks me up. On another note, as much as I dislike the bloke, he is exactly what we need right now. Stick him in the team against Millwall - the perfect game for his comeback. A low key game, away from home. If he scores or plays a blinder, all will soon be forgotten.

Pompey at home- something a bit special

Forget just chucking flares at them. We need to take it to the next level for this one. The Greeks have the right idea; [video=youtube_share;CuJRDomdQ84] -
I suppose it's better if it makes general sale anyway. Our atmosphere is always terrible when it sells out to the elderly folk that inhabit the Kingsland.

I was thinking something more along the lines of; I was actually at that game above in that end and it was easily the most fun I've had at a football match. Or we could just go all out and do the following; -
Stop being such a minstrel and get on the train, get ****ed up, go to The Griffin and stare at some tits, get the last train home and puke your McDonalds up all over the platform at Central. Now that is a good away day.

I genuinely thought there would be a mad rush for this one similar to the Brighton game. Suppose it must be midweek putting people off but would be rather embarrassing if we can't sell out our biggest away game of the season other than the Skates.
-
We must've done something to upset him. A Leicester mate of mine said he did an interview a while ago and was asked what club he enjoyed scoring against or would like to score against (something along those lines anyway) and he said Southampton as he hates us. Ha. The thing is, you spend all week larging it on Twitter, you're going to get abuse and plenty of it off people. Would've been wise for him to keep his mouth shut.
-
The main thing he offers us is pace and we were in desperate need of that yesterday (well most games we lack it). One of the reasons Leicester were so happy to take the game to us at the start was that they knew they wouldn't get caught on the break. With the likes of Hammond, Cork and Connolly trundling forward, they could take all the time in the world to get back and regroup. If we had the pace of De Ridder from the start, they may have been a bit more cautious if they thought they could get caught out. Yesterday we had zero threat going forward until he came on and the same goes for Holmes. De Ridder offers us something a bit different to the rest and for that reason alone he should play more often, IMO.

Why not try Reeves/Hoskins/Ward-Prowse?

The reason they didn't play last night is because they're not quite good enough or strong enough for the 1st team yet. -
A mate posted a picture on Facebook around 9am of the so called "queue". It consisted of about 15 people... I also got through on the phone in about 2 minutes but was told as it was 08.58 they couldn't sell me one and I would have to call back at 9am. I didn't bother and just did it on-line when I got in to the office. Doesn't seem to be a huge demand just yet. Strange seeing as this is a bigger game than the Brighton one...
-
Just got mine on-line, nice and easy for once. Went for a kids ticket in the end. I've heard others say it's a fairly easy jib, so will hopefully be alright.
-
It was all a bit pointless bringing on De Ridder if we were just going to let Fox carry on pinging 50 yard passes into the stand. A player like that needs the ball to feet or played in front of him.
-
Would've been better viewing if they attacked him.

What perfect ending would you want for..

Getting promoted at Boro with 6,000 there. Invading the pitch at the full time whistle. Then news starts to filter through that Pompey have been relegated. The stuff dreams are made of... -
Was just looking on the online ticketing system and the first 5 travel club buses are sold out already. Let's hope there's enough blankets and tea to go round everyone.
-
I can't see that happening. I can't see him even stepping foot in St Marys again unless he's wearing the shirt of another team.
-
He's blocked me on Twitter after sending him a load of abuse whilst drunk a while ago. Shame, I would've gone to town on him about this. Has anyone had his friends and family tweeting abuse back at you? They wouldn't leave me alone for about a week after my little outburst. Ha.

Is Dalek2003 on a wind up or just a moron? Some truly ridiculous comments from him.

I always thought I would prefer a book but I use my Kindle app on my iPad all the time now. Saves room, saves money, saves time. Basically there is no way I would revert back to buying an actual book these days.
-
Thank god you're not in charge of transfer dealings then.
-
You may be able to buy hospitality with them as my old man bought a load of hospitality vouchers in the megastore the other day, you then call up the hospitality line and quote the voucher codes to book your seats.

That's because we hadn't shown any interest or at least none of us were aware of any interest. Now we are, it's rightly being discussed and people quite like the idea of it. If it happens, then brilliant, if it doesn't, then as long as we end up with a decent striker, I'm happy. If we spend big then so be it, we'd be doing it because we could afford it. This time round we're being run by a clued up business man with money at his disposal (so we're led to believe). Not a couple of small time chancers like last time who spent money that wasn't there.
