  1. If Shaw is out, who would we want to replace him? Reeves or Fox or even Butterfield with Clyne out of position?
  2. Thanks chaps; perfect. Hopefully I'll have one happy little chappy tomorrow having met a few of the team + seen a much needed win too.
  3. Bringing my 6 year old with me on Saturday and he wants to see if we can meet some of the players prior to the game and have his pic taken with them/get their autograph. Does anyone know what time the team arrive before kick off? Or is it easier after the match? Any help given will be gratefully received!
  4. Excellent stuff. Oh Gaston Ramirez... (we're glad you're back in time to tear Reading a new one & sorry to hear about your sad news whatever that was).
  5. And will I have to imagine watching him play on Saturday or will he be there in person, do you know?
  6. Any update on whether young Gaston will be back for the weekend?
  7. Has this got parallels with Delgado? Was the birthday thread on TSW insufficient & Gaston was expecting more cards? Do we never learn???
  8. Must be something pretty major for him to need to dash back to Uruguay, potentially missing a critical game. I wonder if the club have let him head home with the proviso he's back in good time to be available for Saturday given its very much a 6 pointer.
  9. If Gaston doesn't play on Saturday, it will be my fault based on games I've been to: 1) Man Utd - bought these; Ramirez not signed in time to play but does pop out to give us a wave; 2) Fulham - injured before the game 3) Spurs - still injured Got tickets for the game on Saturday and now he might be in Uruguay instead. Obviously he's far more important to our survival bid than me watching the game so I'll send back my tickets...
  10. Strange things can happen when there's a chance you could miss out on the Premier League pot of gold at the end of the rainbow...
  11. Or maybe his English hasn't progressed sufficiently to say how he feels SMS is his spiritual home?
  12. Maybe he's been sidelined in case he tells fans at the Megastore he's off?
  13. I think that's part of the problem, it's not one mistake. It's one in each of our 4 match unbeaten run except Newcastle. I don't believe in slaughtering a young player like some may do but maybe it is time to remove him from the firing line so he doesn't get destroyed completely by further high profile mistakes. Goalkeeping errors almost always give away a goal and, with the Prem so well covered, it's seen by millions too, which increases the pressure.
  14. One massive mistake & 2 points lost. Apologies. Forgot to wear the lucky pants from the last 2 games. Gutted. I'll take the rap for this one Gazza but no more of those please, son, ok?
  15. Needs a solid 2nd half to even think of keeping Boruc out next week IMO. COYR!!
  16. I wonder if there will be an emotional homecoming for Nigel Quashie to bolster their midfield. What's he doing these days?
  17. My money would be on Taarabt.
  18. I'm going to offer myself to Saints as a cost saving. I'm overweight (bye Artur), I'll probably drop the ball or make a game changing mistake during the game (bye Gazza) and I'll probably be beaten at my near post and won't reach shots in the corners (bye Kelv). I'm hoping we can use the money saved to improve the catering.
  19. Warm welcome definitely (except maybe from Nicola?). Gave me my 1st chance to see us win at Wembley (only 2 when we won the FA Cup) and signed Lambo, which has proved an inspired acquisition. Haven't heard him say anything negative about the club despite the way he left either.
  20. Things have improved markedly since NA's supposed showdown meeting with NC. Makes me wonder whether, if there was any interference, that NA asked to be judged on his own merits, which his achievements to date deserved.
  21. Given my attempt at a light hearted post failed earlier and, indeed, the thread has seemingly disappeared, it made me wonder whether we need to introduce a supporters training programme as the club are doing on the pitch running throughout the various age levels to ensure parity of thought in the future. Obviously my puerile attempt offended some so here's your chance to pick your fave characteristics from your other forum chums to use as the template.
  22. I remember Keegan's overhead kick which was ruled out because David Armstrong was supposedly offside.
  23. Rupert Lowe would be turning in his grave (if he was dead). Football without top class food? Disgraceful.
  24. Damn you optimism. Your presence near me is no longer required.
