Armando Broja: The Ronaldo-inspired youngster who is soaring at Southampton - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60018970 Decent article on the Beeb about Broja today. 👍

Another Sali update. I like this one more so I'll believe this one.

I think we might see a Saintsy style last minute deal, if the right player becomes available. Maybe the young forward from Hull, Lewis-Potter?

Something for those of us living east of Portsmouth to bear in mind when driving to the game on Sunday. 😕

https://theathletic.com/news/fifa-announces-new-loan-rules-to-clamp-down-on-player-hoarding/wuM4m5NzCPic/ I wonder if this might be a factor for players like Broja in the future? If clubs can only loan out 8 players internationally then fewer going forwards, it would see some players not in the team effectively stuck, which is how they are hoping to stop clubs like Chelsea hoarding, I guess. Must surely work in our favour?

Letting in 2 injury time goals to lose against Spurs has done nothing to diminish their love for Vesty...

Is this the best comment from a Leicester fan on Jannik since he left? 😂😂😂

A tenuous link to Federico Gatti from Frosinone in Serie B. "Chiellini with Bonucci's feet", His chairman has done a good job of talking him up... https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2022/01/19/chiellini-with-bonnucis-feet-southampton-rival-juventus-for-9m-bargain/

Scored against us at the end of last season if I remember rightly. Looked promising in that game.

Taken for granted by me as he's done it so often! 😂 Bloody brilliant hit.

Leaving the ground now and can't help but feel that was a missed opportunity. I know we beat Brentford with that line up but the shape felt wrong against Wolves. We had nothing on the right and Tella gave too much space away there. KWP had to start really. As a back 3 we look disorganised and we didn't have enough up top to retain and create. Redmond was diabolical and we are desperate for a no 10 who can unlock a defence. Thought Adam Armstrong did well when he came on and gave us someone who was dropping deep and turning at the defence. We also lacked urgency which was surprising, even at 2 down. A strange of mix of lethargy, the wrong setup and a feeling of a missed chance really.

Since when was Broja possibly heading back to Chelsea a thing (snippet from Sky transfer feed)? I'm hoping they mean at the end of the season not in January!!

To be fair, Rupert Lowe going into any room was as popular as a fart in a lift...

This chap I'd guess? Max Alleyne confirms move from Southampton to Manchester City | Daily Echo

And we'll always look at their SISU takeover and thank god it wasn't us...

Screams back-up goalie. Whether that's to Macca or someone decent, time will tell.

Not ideal to have to play 90 mins with 10 men before an important League game but excellent resilience particularly when going 2-1 down.

Either Ralph's gone crazy or the BBC might've messed up how we're going to line up... 😂

Villa are now after Brighton's Bissouma according to Sky. I can see Brighton getting a Southampton-style raiding after Poch left for a number of their better players this summer (if not in January).

Newcastle will probably resist anything until Feb at the earliest so they can get the maximum number of new players as their new found wealth can bring in before any re-arranged matches...

And just had an email confirming the refund now...
