Thats exactly it for me also. Im so tired of my club being run like a mickey mouse outfit. Ive had nearly 40 years of it. When I was younger I would become irate. These days I just shrug, feel completely apathetic Ive got more important things in my life to get more upset about ( altho it takes many years of frustration to get to that point). Im not asking or expecting my club to get out and blow billions, but like others have said, we knew our cm was leaving, surely any business/club run properly would think, yeah, we might need to strengthen there. How could something so blindingly obvious to everyone not be seized upon. And it happens time after time after time. Its honestly a bit embarrassing.

Like a few others I knew this was coming after the last two games so also went to play golf. My brother watched it tho, and without any hint from me he said, "" the first 44 minutes your lot were unplayable........whats up with that high line though ""..........ermmmm.

Oh. My. God. This is like bloody groundhog day. ( Not digging at anybody on here cos youre all right). No news from the club. No mention of signings. No money. Crap start to the season. Desperately wishing to sign our ex players. All expectation killed after the first week. Oh to be a saints fan. I feel like punching myself in the face.

My highlight of the weekend was just watching the spurs game when PEH booted it out of play. Neville " oh thats awful from Holjberg". I was wetting myself particularly as Ive got a few good mates who are spurs fans and they were telling me hes the missing piece. I would say to them, chaps, hes really not very good. Then they would get a little condescending and point at his stats, to which I would reply, dont let the stats fool you, they dont tell the full story. Then they would claim I was just bitter that he had gone to a bigger club and they had managed to flog their bitpart fullback to us, regardlessof the fact I would tell them I was happy with the signing. Plus 3m. Ahhhh, schadenfreude.

My mistake, I misread the original post. Defo Nige then and I quite agree with you, I loved our time in the lower leagues as I often banged on to this to my mates who support other clubs. Loved Poch and huge fan of Ralph. I added Hoddle cos of the way we played when he was here but like I said, my bad as I misread it.

Poch Ralph Hoddle Ive judged it on managers who took a bunch of players and made them better than they actually are. Didnt enjoy our style under Koeman. I felt we were very rigid and a little dull. Love Nige but this is PL.

Id always Like Ralph since the start. I like his demeanour and his tactics, I thought he was a breath of fresh air after the last few years and when the season started I thought, right, lets really see what you can do. And then......Im not really sure what happened. I was so surprised by the performances, I really didnt see it coming. I have to also admit that after THAT game, I thought he needed to go but purely because I thought he had lost the dressing room. I didnt see any way back. Im so glad I was proved wrong in this instance, seeing my saints play the way I expected them to originally under him ( and in this case I was proved right to myself about him). Watching our last few performances leave me genuinely excited about the new season and watching us play. I think he has us playing better football than we did under Koeman. I preferred us under Poch and I believe we're on that track. Feels so good to feel good about my team again. Also very happy for Che. Thought he'd come good.

Yup fair enough, and the pass the other night, but do you really not agree that he checks in too much ? Its fine to point out the times when its gone right....but how many more times do you think something would have come off if he'd acted a little quicker or been a little more direct. I think he lacks a really good footballers brain. Thats just my opinion mate.

Feel a little bit bad for Bournemouth but I think we didnt look in trouble at any particular point. Really like KWP and thought he was excellent today as was Armstrong. Redmond drives me nuts....why wont he try and penetrate a back four. He always stops, does a couple of rollovers then checks back. I think he holds back some of our attacking momentum. Properly chuffed for Adams who I also really like and hope he does well for us....really think he offers something allround......and, ohhhh Ingsy........

PEH makes me want to punch myself in the face. Annoyed cos A) We were awful first half, and B) We were so superior in the second half we should easily have won that. Oh well.

To be honest, yes, disappointed not to have won that after that first have performance, but even so , some of our football, the passing and moving was excellent. I hope KWP doesnt become one of those players who has a brilliant trial with us then becomes useless when we sign him. ( If we sign him) Ings brilliant again
