Away from home and playing like we have for the past few weeks I can't see us covering ourselves with glory. If Burnley and Everton win their remaining 2 games each we could finish in 17th. Sorry Ralph, just not good enough!
-
Nick Pope springs to mind for me too. Might as well try for him irrespective of whether Forster stays or goes.

If Burnley and Everton win their remaining 2 games and we lose to Leicester we will end up in 17th place. A pretty miserable end to a season which had us playing some good football at times but for whatever reason we can never keep that up for any length of time. In last night's game even a hugely depleted Liverpool side could not instill any hope or fight in our lot. I wonder if Ralph needs to go during the summer. He seems all out of ideas now. I appreciate we don't have unlimited funds to make too many changes to the team but I hope we can concentrate on a solid striker. With Broja going back to Chelsea that leaves us Adams, Armstrong and Long. Not a trio to put the fear of God in anyone.

That's the spirit!

Pep is asking for us to beat Liverpool 4-0 tomorrow night. 😂😂😂

Correct me if I am wrong but didn't Ralph say he was retiring at the end of the 2023/2024 season? If you are right and this is the reason for our recent run of very poor form and results then heaven help us if the team are going to continue playing like this until May 2024.
-
Not a hope in hell if we turn in another of our recent performances.
-
If we only have enough money to buy 1 player please let it be a decent striker. With the best will in the world, Adams, Armstrong, Long and Broja, if he's still here next season, are not likely to be banging in 20 goals a season any time soon. A very disappointing end.

Still a free country last time I checked.

Get down the bookies, sharpish. You'll get great odds for Pompey to win the Champions League.
-
Hopefully not. I shall be shouting for Liverpool because I am British, because we are their feeder club and it is a step nearer for Klopp and his team to achieve the quadruple. Then my Man U loving son-in-law will finally shut up about their treble being in top spot.
-
And there was me, when Saints were sitting comfortably mid-table thinking that nobody would have to be counting possible points to avoid relegation. Quite like old times.
-
Complete idiot. Pity he can't concentrate on keeping his club up.
-
Especially after that dive last weekend. Made himself look a right prat, just in case there were some who didn't already know that.
-
After KWP and JWP all the others have the potential to be 'pretty awful'. In my view Tino has been the best of the rest.
-
KWP...JWP...Tino. The 3 most consistent and hard working of the team.
-
How many more free kicks does JWP need to score from to claim the record and do they need to be scored for Saints?
-
Puts kicking a football about into perspective. A very sad time for Ronaldo and his family.

Happy days. With the faint glimmer of 4th place possible for Arsenal and Spurs losing, I thought we were for the high jump. Well done Saints!
-
Arsenal have had a rubbish last couple of games as well so it won't just be Saints who will be getting told they need to step up, plus there is still a faint glimmer of 4th place for them. I am expecting a lose, be happy with a draw and bloody delighted with a win. All bases covered. COYS

The cut throat world of PL managers. 10 years Dyche has been at Burnley with never much, if any, money to spend to strengthen a small and mediocre squad. Many managers would have jumped ship years ago but Dyche has stuck at it, keeping Burnley in the PL by the skin of his teeth and this is the thanks he gets. Taxi for Big Sam!!

Luca Modric, one of the few players who can be called world class. I think I read somewhere that when Benitez was his manager he tried to coach him out of using the outside of his foot.
-
There have been 2 fantastic games over the past few days. Man City v Liverpool and Real Madrid v Chelsea. Both matches have showcased football at its finest. The work rate, determination and energy from every player was a joy to watch. The passion from their managers, plain to see. Chelsea gave themselves a mountain to climb for the 2nd leg and at 3-0 up at the Bernabeu I thought they had pulled it off but it was not to be. Hugely disappointing for their supporters but for the neutrals a wonderful match.

You mention he has changed over the last 18 months or so. Was that around the time he lost his pundit's job on TV? I wonder if that was the catalyst. He may be making these weird statements to keep himself in the public eye. What else is he doing at the moment? There is no such thing as bad publicity.
