Shows what a rotten pundit he is. Cavani's toe may be on the line but Ramsey's challenge was just outside the box. No penalty.

Manchester United have received a report on their match against Sheffield United recently. There were 2 contentious decisions in that game which this report confirms were both wrong. I am no Man U fan but I know how I feel after the Villa game and Man U supporters were just as angry after the Sheffield match. The result robbed them of 3 points and the chance to go top of the league. This report just rubs it in. The FA ought to be looking at match officials and why VAR isn't working as effectively as in other sports and take some action, urgently.
-
Dean will be sure to get Man U's top scorer, Pen, in on the act.

When a contentious decision has been made during a football match, I think the officials should come out after the game and explain why they made their decisions. It wouldn't change the outcome but they ought to be held to account because at the moment they are untouchable. Last night was a joke. I would prefer to win games but I have been a Saints supporter for long enough to accept the defeats. However, some, like last night are very hard to take. We deserved a point from that game. If I had my way it would take a good surgeon a couple of hours to remove that bloody flag from the linesman's ass. Very concerned to see Diallo and Walcott limp off. 2 players back and 2 players off. Man U next. I suppose their top scorer, Pen, will be playing.

You are probably right but while Southampton still pay his wages he needs to put all he's got into this club.

No room for sentiment at Chelsea. Lampard landed the Chelsea job because of who he is, not because of an impressive managerial CV. There has been a lot of rumours about him losing the dressing room. It will be interesting to see if Tuchel can turn it around and start climbing the league to the position Abramovitch reckons is their appointed place. I think I read somewhere that Tuchel is a fiery character. Might be a match for Roman. I hope Lampard stays in management. I think he has the making of a decent manager.

Arsenal are usually a good bet for a long cup run but not this season. Whoo-hoo!!!
-
Nope. When he misses a shot that a 5 year old could put away, then turns around and grins, that' when I could cheerfully strangle him!
-
Ralph isn't exactly spoilt for choice. You say the training pitch and classroom is where the match day performance comes from. Shane Long hasn't turned in a decent match day performance for a while now. Many of the players have upped their game under Ralph but this doesn't apply to Long at the moment.
-
I'd be committed to a club who paid me thousands of pounds a week for doing very little.
-
Good performers. Long???
-
Long does this all the time and it drives me mad. He played Adams offside a few weeks ago. You would think at 33 he would have an understanding of where he is in relation to his team mates. When he comes on the pitch my heart sinks. I was disappointed that we hadn't signed a striker last summer. Ings had a great season but we shouldn't be relying on him alone to score the goals and this season has shown that. Che Adams is still off the mark. I hope he can develop into a decent partner for Ings but I doubt it.
-
Him & Vardy make a pair.
-
I am concerned enough about this game without Long's name coming into the mix.

If only........

The commentators and pundits will have a field day mentioning THAT result.

Good to read an article like this. They certainly look like a well drilled and fit team. So much better than the Mark Hughes days when the players looked disjointed and lethargic. I like Ralph. I was impressed when not long after we had lost so heavily to Leicester, Ralph was asked by interviewers for his opinion on that defeat. He was very honest, saying he had lost his way for a bit and as a result the team had suffered. So refreshing to hear a manager take the flak and not pass the buck to others. Since then the change has been nothing short of remarkable. Long may King Ralph reign!
-
Yes, I can believe that. If I want to wind my Man U loving son-in-law up, I ask him if their best striker Pen is playing. Works every time.
-
That was a long 92 minutes after Ings scored at 2 minutes in. There were a couple of worrying moments for me; when Liverpool started the second half so strongly and when Long was warming up. Thankfully, both came to nothing. On paper, with a depleted team, most people would have gone for a Liverpool win but in reality, our players got stuck in and showed what belief, hard work and determination can do. In Ralph we have a manager who totally cares for our Saints. To see him on his hands and knees, in tears, at the final whistle, said a lot about him.
-
I suppose you mean on the pitch? Then the answer would be YES. I hope he stops at home tonight.
-
The Man U forum reckon he would have been a good fit too. With Ole getting a couple of good results he is suddenly manager of the decade. Time will tell.
-
Oh, I do hope you are right. I would love a win. I would feel more optimistic if we had played the last couple of games with the sort of enthusiasm and never say die attitude we had a few weeks ago. My son calls them LiVARpool. I hope they don't get too much of that going their way. COYS!!!
-
Liverpool next. Oh, goody!!!
-
We need a big confident striker and quickly. One that isn't going to be intimidated. Adams doesn't have that quality. As for Long, he contributes nothing productive. It is embarrassing to hear the commentators trotting out how many hours it has been since Long, who is supposed to be a striker, scored a goal. All this tippy-tappy between McCarthy and the defenders at 0-0 with 5 minutes to go gets us nowhere either.
-
Yes, Stephens nearly mucked it up for us.
