  1. Moving the away fans has been a real killer for the clubs atmosphere, I think. The Northam/Itchen/Away fans banter was the only thing keeping the atmosphere going at times, and now that's gone, you're left with a stand full of people who don't really know what to do. The club have wanted that gone for years to aid their hospitality packages, and used safe standing as a way to cleanse that area of the stadium to improve their hospitality packages. Can't wait for the champagne bar, proper football heritage that.
  2. Still on course to beat Derbys record then, that's something to sing about.
  3. Didn't you know? It's Stephens fault that he gets picked. It's Stephens fault that our attack are toothless. It's Stephens fault we play the way we do. It's Stephens fault Archer missed a penalty. Etc etc.
  4. Except it didn't though, did it? He were trounced 5-0 by Sunderland, and 4-0 be Leicester before losing to Ipswich and Middlesbrough in the first 4 games of his injury ...
  5. "stephens is the root of all our problems" Your words, not mine.
  6. To say he is the "root of our problems" is just ignorance, plain and simple. We have a lot of problems right now, not all of them the fault of Jack Stephens. Fine, if you don't rate him, we all have our opinions on players, don't have a problem with that; but hating on him unnecessarily by saying he's the root of all our problems is just scapegoating a player for no reason. Is he the reason why we can't score, or why our strikers are so toothless? Is he the reason Martin plays the way he does? Is he the reason our midfield has been weak as piss?
  7. And people say that there isn't a narrative against Stephens? What bollocks.
  8. Fucking club, letting all these non-saints fans into the ground. Probably sat in the home end as well ...
  9. How to tell me you don't watch football ...
  10. Certainly not saying JS is the long-term answer at CB at this level, but if you had to pick a CB to take out of the team based on the 3 games so far this season, it wouldn't be JS.
  11. Good to see the narrative about JS carrying on; I'd argue that THB is more deserving to be dropped so far as he's been our worst CB, to be honest but that doesn't suit the narrative that saints fans seem to have.
  12. Seeing as one of the main reasons he went to Blackpool was Neil Critchley, it's a bit of a blow.
  13. No need to be so pedantic regarding spelling, you clearly knew what I meant. Regardless, and if you disregard the supposedly (look, spelt correctly this time) parts, the rest of my post still stands.
  14. Lambert was a boyhood Liverpool fan coming to the end of his career. Noone begrudged him a fairytale return. Lallana, on the other hand, was busy declaring his love for Saints, signing a long term contract, kissing the badge and openly stating he wanted to spend his career here, before (supposedley) going on strike, refusing to play and signing Liverpool shirts whilst saying 'I hope so' when asked if he'll be a Liverpool soon. Hardly comparable. (Ps. Lovren also got pelters that summer for joing Liverpool)
  15. Can't believe someone has taken Sulemana off us; happy fucking days indeed. One of the worst players to ever play for us
  16. Things can't be that desperate surely?
  17. Squads looking a little large; who do we leave out the 25-man squad?
  18. For someone who wants out and doesn't want to sign a new contract (expires next summer), that's a cracking deal.
  19. I just wish he'd wear his shin pads properly.
  20. Didn't realise the next round is seeded. All the European teams are being kept apart.
  21. Yes, and then KWP staying and playing LB pushed him even further away.
  22. Was incredibly underwhelming I thought. The so-called Northam wall was nothing. The atmosphere was no different, maybe a little worse, to how it was previously. The fan zones were crap and just hindered walking round the stadium. If they have to down this tinpot route, at least allow clear access round the stadium for those of us who want to avoid it. That the forest fans outsung at times was worrying, and I think the atmosphere suffered from losing the home fans vs away fans atmosphere to be honest. Lots to work on here, early days and all that, but it doesn't scream an improvement.
  23. There are, but unfortunately we can't play ourselves.
  24. Sulemana? What do Saints fans actually see in him? Absolutely shocking player. The same Sulemana who did sweet fuck all for us last time we were in this league, and despite dropping down a division, did even more sweet fuck all there as well?
  25. First home game of the season. Never felt so unenthusiastic and meh about a new season. Anyone else feeling the same, or just me?
