Not really but if he was any good he'd be playing for Palace. Or at a higher level than League One. If we're not making signings which are upgrades on the starting XI at this point, then what's the point?

Wouldn't be against Charles going, he'd do ok in Scotland. From what I've seen I don't think (my opinion) he has what it takes to make it in the PL, and certainly would be swimming against the tide if thrown in this season. Would give us a chance to get a decent upgrade and then have good cover for Downes.

To be fair, I think McKenna is a lot better manager than Kompany. I can see them staying up, he knows how to be pragmatic (not a dig at RM).
