  3. Apparently, if Burnley are relegated, there is a means for the previous owners to buy the club back. sounds odd!!! as to the match, surely a must win game for them

Ukraine wants to buy 200 Marder infantry fighting vehicles from Germany since early March. Germany has given dozens of ridiculous excuses, why it is impossible to sell these Marder. Germany has now offered to sell these 200 Marder to Greece for €100 million.

  15. No need to be rude. Just pointing out that even obese people like Boris, who had covid, were not worried 1-jot about their (and their loved-ones) safety, whilst keeping us locked in our houses. Maybe, the lockdown/restrictions were just too severe, as claimed by so many at the time and since?
  16. essentially, covid was/is not dangerous for almost the entire population. We all know it now, knew it then. Their parties demonstrated it. During that time, we stopped people from seeing their dying loved ones and such like.
  17. Boris got Covid, and still was not worried about it afterwards - clearly.
  18. They clearly were not worried one bit about getting COVID and getting seriously ill/dying. They were not worried one bit it seems.
  19. Those at the heart of power, and with all the information, were not scared of covid! Did their best to scare the rest of us though

on paper. They can't even agree on a set of sanctions. Imagine them lot forming a credible fighting force to take on an Army that simply will not play by the rules.

    Russia

You know full well the reasons why. Take the USA out of the question, we (in Europe) cannot take on Russia, as we have such limited capability (numbers). We sold our defence to the USA, in exchange for more free stuff (Germany being the biggest culprit). The trade-off = USA get to dictate when we act (around the world), and literally run NATO. So far, the US appear to have zero appetite to fight a war in Europe. We could have maintained a significant UK armed service, maybe at the level of the pre-withdrawal from East of Suez in the 60s, but that is never ever a vote winner. More welfare is (for example). You are in cloud cuckoo-land if you think a UK/Fr combined/led effort could do anything meaningful against the Russian army. As said way back in this thread, a bad weekend and it will over for us. Anyway, we are giving away very capable kit to Ukraine, I wonder how long it will take for us to back-fill our own stock?
  22. Why were we 'spoilt'? His output was not much different to what we get now. he was just more quirky, diverse and have a bigger voice.
