I get the point they are trying to make, but it gets diluted with the use of the word 'axes'

Huge game today. Can't believe more people aren't excited.

IS there a working stream?

And they still managed to march on Moscow unopposed.

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

You're only going to get "lame" from Lamesaint, time after time -
Too right! Especially with the Chinese fella.

Only you, apparently.

Someone he says he is definitely, absolutely, certainly NOT obsessed with. Good to see he's been trying to get his futile nickname off the ground for about four months now and still only he knows what the fuck he is on about -
Bless the Athletic being factually incorrect again. They appear to have not included the Goztepe points since SR have owned them....

Meh, what do they know? Cardiff is literally sunshine central and Truro has palm trees ffs.

Exactly what we want from our hard hitting journalist - basically summing up this thread but being paid for it!

I lived in Leeds (well Ilkley, but close enough) for a year and the weather was average. I lived in Manchester for about 8 months (spring to autumn) and it rained every.single.day!!! In my opinion / experience, Manchester is way wetter than Leeds 😘

There was a suggestion of that from the commentators during Sunday's stage. The rumours will only get stronger after yesterday's performance. Shame really as the ding dong battle has been fantastic for the whole race and has re-written how 'modern tactics' are played out with two very strong contenders.

Why do they insist on playing test matches in Manchester? A 'must win' game for England and the match is likely to be influenced massively by the predictably rainy weather they get year round in the area!
-
Anyone know when this 'heatwave' is coming our way? I've just looked at the forecast for my area and rain is predicted every day now until the beginning of August! I guess the good news is the hosepipe bans should be lifted any day now.

Has he broken the law?

And it keeps raining FFS. It's meant to be summer.

I'd call discussing favourite crisp flavours with your mates definitely not right wing. Happy to be proven wrong though...
-
I've never watched it so can't say for sure, but is that really 'right wing'?

Looks like a fantastic place to live, lovely and healthy for the childrenz. source

To summarise, the planet is heating up, we all know it's heating up despite over 20 years of trying to stop it from heating up. Are we focussing our attention in the wrong place? Should we accept that the planet is going to warm up and no matter what we do we will have little influence on that and start focussing our attention (and billions of £ per year) on putting measures in place to mitigate the effects?

I'm not a climate change denier, but I'll happily admit I'm not an expert on the subject. It would appear from a layman's point of view that 'climate change' is something that happens persistently to our planet. From a time when there was zero ice on the poles to what we have now and what will happen in the future. The one question that always bemuses me though is the mention of 'greenhouse gases'. The most recognisable of these is CO2 and thus the need to reduce CO2 output. However, from what I've read, CO2 makes up approximately 0.04% of the Earth's atmosphere. Of that, around 3.2% of 0.04% (circa 0.00128%) of the Earth's atmosphere is classed as being man made. Personally I accept that the climate is changing (all the evidence is showing us that, not just by way of heatwaves but changing patterns during all four seasons). I accept we can do more to reduce our CO2 output, but the question is, will all the work, sacrifices, money that is spent actually make any difference at all when natural weather phonemena can have a much bigger effect in a much shorter timeframe?

Is this current one anything to do with El-Nino?
