  1. Brilliant.
  2. To be fair, the Yoda impression isn't bad considering what he's got to work with.
  3. Moisin is a lorry driver. Lorry drivers are a skillset that there is a shortage of. Lorry drivers are paid more money than they were to entice them to work for other companies who have a shortage. The cost of paying the lorry drivers more money is added on to the cost of goods that they are transporting around the country. General labour shortages will have the same knock on effect - companies will compete with money to attract workers when they are short, this will raise prices of the goods and services they supply. Ergo, labour shortages also contribute to rising inflation.
  4. It's almost like they've been defeated in a single weekend.....
  5. Definitely Glastonbury Tor - which I went past. But the picture was indeed taken from Street, which was way busier than Glastonbury.
  6. The ape creatures of the Indus make the point much better than you do, Baldrick.
  7. Not sure what all the fuss is about. I was in Glastonbury this morning, quiet as a moon landing it was. No music, nothing.
  8. It appears they have such a surplus of weapons and ammo that they are able to use it on themselves. Very considerate of them. Brings new meaning to the word 'special' in SMO.
  9. This on the other hand! What can I say, superb bantz skillz going on here. Top job. p.s. WestON not WestERN
  10. Is that what it is? You need to work on your piss taking skills. Piss poor.
  11. This bit is absolutely batshit fucking mental! Basically, you're saying your thumbs take on a life of their own when typing and take control over the language you use. Fucking thumbs! Next they'll be taking over the world!
  12. Pretty much every.single.post
  13. FFS - over 24 hours in charge now and no sign of any players being bought or sold despite everyone insisting he had to start straight away to get it sorted.
  14. Dear God. Still struggling aren't you! The 'tax increase' you refer to there relates to EVERYONE, not just the rich. This will have an even more significant effect on the 'hardworking young people' who are already struggling with their mortgages, leave them with even less money and increase the number of repossessions. Maybe read the bit in bold again and try and think what is happening a year after that article was written....
  15. How is a bumper windfall of tax going to reduce interest rates, that is madness. Haven't the Govt recently received way more tax income than they were expecting, yet here we are with higher interest rates....
  16. Let's not mention the fact that the wealthy rarely buy those things, which is why they are wealthy!
  17. Great plan. Only the rich spend money. That's why places like Next have increased their profit predictions - always full of toffs talking about the hunt in those places
  18. From the Titanic?
  19. You only need to scan through this thread to find out the expectations some people have on our new manager before the season starts! If he were to take all of them on, I reckon it will be Christmas before he gets time to squeeze in a short interview.
  20. I agree, that is true to a certain extent. The banks aren't helping this time around as they are stubbornly refusing to raise the interest rates for savers (profiteering?), so there is no incentive for money to be taken out of the washing machine. Headlines like this suggest that there is still a certain amount of 'frivolous' spending going on.
  21. So you agree the answer to "has there been staged dead bodies in Ukraine", is yes? /MLGmode
  22. Everyone on minimum wage and living wage. I'm guessing you jumped to the conclusion I meant public sector as I mentioned government, but not so. Absolutely, private sector wage rises also fuel inflation - but there are no laws dictating that they MUST do so, as there are governing NMW. It's likely that the majority of companies that were forced to implement that increase ARE private companies...
