I don't 'want him' to be anything. His previous opinions mark him out to be very much right wing, not left wing. Probably why he 'doth complain so much' about all things 'right wing'.

People get sacked for 'doing stuff' that isn't against the law either because they did it on company time or because it could be considered to 'bring their company into disrepute'. Based on the facts we know to date, we have 'man gives money to another person after being sent pictures'. The fact that the man in question works for the BBC and is in the public eye should be irrelevant in this case, unless he did it whilst on 'company time'. I suspect that's why the BBC did nothing when they first heard the allegations. Now they seem to be basing their actions on popular public opinion rather than sticking to their defined principles of checking facts and remaining impartial. All a bit embarrasing for them to be fair.

It's got nothing to do with what I 'want it to mean' - it's about what Soggy wants Ofcom to do. I'm sure he'll claim he meant that he didn't want them shut down, but he also claims he's not racist or antisemitic so take that one with a pinch of salt

Investigation from whom? The MET police have already stated that nothing illegal has happened so they won't be investigating. Do you want his employer to investigate? Is it really any of their concern what he does with his money after they've paid him? Is it also up to them what happens to the money he gives to other people? If so, should they be investigating Shell when he fills his car up? The 'victim' (who has said they aren't a victim at all) is 20. Their parents have no say in what they do with their lives so they can shout as much as they want about investigations, drug habits, wasted money etc etc, it makes fuck all difference.

Happened to me about 12 years ago. Got as far as I was going to get in my first career and turned down offers to go higher. You don't get "snapped" full stop. There is a camera at the beginning of the zone that notes your reg and the time you went past it. A second camera at the end of the zone does exactly the same thing. The distance between the two cameras is fixed therefore your average speed is calculated. If you are over the average for that section you will theoretically get a ticket (I suspect you need to be quite a bit over the average though, say closer to 60 than 50). Similar principal in France between the toll booths - which is why you tend to see the fast cars waiting at the second one before going through having driven as fast as they can between them 😉

No idea about Biden's religious beliefs, but if, as you say, he is Catholic, why on earth would he oppose these abortion bans? The Catholic church opposes ALL forms of abortion from the moment of conception (with very few morally legitimate exceptions). Surely he should be celebrating this abortion ban victory and campaigning for the number of weeks to be reduced even further - unless he's not really a Catholic?

If the person's parents are saying that the person was 17 and the person is saying nothing illegal happened, then there is no chance of proving illegality. Immorality on the other hand - especially from a representative of the BBC - will certainly damage the presenters career, especailly if they've lied about it to try and cover it up
