The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

I imagine they can use their earnings to fund a mortgage can't they? The UC thing is a dead herring. No-one on UC is going to have enough money for the deposit for a mortgage and I can't imagine mortgage lenders (unless they are Government funded) will consider someone on UC as an acceptable financial risk! -

I contacted Strava about this - having read their article about 'interpreting GPS data differently' and they have come back to say that they actually don't class being stopped as being stopped!! They've basically said that if you aren't stopped for more than 15 seconds, then it doesn't count (in their 'algorithm'!). Not sure about you but I've had many rides (especially along Weston Sea Front) when I've been stopped at the lights or had to stop for the lights, and as soon as I've stopped moving they change and I'm off again. When that frequently happens with at least 4 of the lights out of 6 on the sea front, you can see where a minute or more of additional time can be added on by Strava. -
No chance. They wouldn't get there until the next day.

If he genuinely does have enough money - and to be fair he should by now!! - then he'll go to Cardiff. No other reason except the Welsh really are xenophobes.
-
To be fair, that pretty much sums up 'what is wrong with America'. Homeless guy tells the police he's going into the lake for a 'swim', despite said lake being a no swimming zone. Police just watch even while he's drowning and help him out by 'calling for a boat' - which could be the prescribed process for those incidents?

I'm not sure Soggy actually knows who votes for the Tory Party. Weren't they all racists and gammons previously? Now they're the 'great unwashed' - pretty sure that term is generally used to describe a demographic that is considered to be beneath one's own perceived social standing. I imagine that the majority of Tory voters are likely to be from 'middle England' with a selection of 'red wall' protest voters. If Soggy has determined that they are all 'beneath' his social standing, I guess he thinks he's of the same ilk as Rees-Mogg -

It's the hunger. That's where the potential is. XG takes hunger into consideration.

It's too soon to worry about the GE - a week is a long time in politics! He'll stay for another year before he's replaced (probably by Sunak once he's sorted out how to pay tax), when they will claim to have cleaned house and replaced him with credibility. In a twist of fate, we may yet see more chaos within Labour if Starmer is found guilty, that investigation is certainly taking a long time given how clear it was that he didn't break any rules.... -

Lol. He's not going anywhere. His puppet masters need him to carry on playing the fool for another year before they replace him. -

You seem to be under the impression that BoJo gives a shiny shit about morals and ethics. If / when he wins the vote, he'll become more of a cock than he is now. -
Absolutely. If his Nan wasn't already dead, she should be hung, drawn and quartered for having those views as she should have foreseen that popular opinion would change 60 years later.
-
Yes. But he said his Nan called it 'foreign muck' because it is made with curry powder - which his Nan associated with foreigners (most likely Indians). Let's not forget that Len Goodman's Nan was most likely born in the 19th Century and presumably commented on the 'foreign muck' in the late 50's / early 60's. A time in our history when homosexuality was still illegal, so it's hardly surprising the 'older' generation had a dislike for johnny foreigner.

To be fair, nobody predicted it would be quite so tricky to get OUT of the country.
-
I'm not sure that is what they were claiming. I only skimmed the article so could be wrong, but I thought the gist of it was that it would be more expensive in terms of producing labelling, packaging etc, which is clearly not going to be a big issue for a local market trader using chalk / pens to write the price of goods, but could be substantial for producers supplying to large supermarkets etc. Those expenses will inevitably be passed on to the consumer, making the products more expensive...

He raises some good points and what he is proposing is actually what Brexit is meant to stand for - i.e for the country to decide what would be best for the country. The freedom of movement of goods, services and capital is a no brainer. The freedom of movement of people wouldn't have the same impact as pre Brexit given the uncoupling from the political unity - simply put we would (potentially, depending on how effectively or not it's managed!) have far more control over who receives benefits and how. It's a sensible option but sadly a non starter given the clowns currently in charge.

Doesn't sound like you want it to be about evidence presented in court. Sounds more like you want it to be about evidence you agree with being presented in court. Why do you want some evidence allowed and some not allowed? Surely your own experience has shown you that 'fake' and 'conflicting' evidence can catch someone out, so why not allow all of it?

Still the same issue for me. Strava adds on time compared to Garmin from which it gets its data! The 'split' times are always exactly the same (I have the Garmin set to auto lap every five miles), so in theory the 'total' time should be the same, but for some reason they aren't. The famous Strava algorithm is clearly too complicated to be able to add upp split times correctly The distance is exactly the same for both Garmin and Strava so at least it gets that right. Your issue is more easily explained - two devices are always likely to give two slightly different readings (although 1 mile out is odd!), due to the way they connect to GPS and how efficient they are at keeping hold of the signal. Altitude will vary, especially if one device has an altimeter and even more so if you live close to the sea due to the rise and fall in tide heights over your ride. -
Certainly isn't when Saints get a new player. If they haven't set the world alight on their debut, they're consigned to the scrapyard.

He stated she was incapacitated and had no recollection of what happened. If that is true, then her claiming she was raped has to be a lie. The rape claim implies recollection.
-
Any chance you can edit that post in case someone from Reading is reading, don't want to put them off
-
So she was 'totally incapacitated' and had 'no recolletion of what happened' and definitely, 100% didn't lie when she accused him of rape, which he was found not guilty of commiting. Your definition of a 'lie' seems to be different to the rest of the world's.
