For 96 years he /she did....

Putin once listened to someone who said 'you'll never win anything with kids'.

He's out looking for some coconuts.

Fingers crossed it will work better than most new IT systems (especially Government launched ones!) https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-63074703 Not sure why fingerprints and photos can't be registered in advance but looks like pretty long queues in Dover again next summer!!!
-
To be fair, he mentions that 'she has a point' after he called Kwasi a 'coconut'. Welcome to 1980's overt racism! I imagine he'll be off to the shops in a bit to pick up some bananas to throw at the football

Another holiday for parliament whilst they have their annual conferences - at which they no doubt claim enormous expenses!

What a complete blithering idiot you are. Do you honestly believe that there are 'black' fiscal policies and 'white' fiscal policies and that the Chancellor of the Exchequer should choose between the two?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-63057966 I'm struggling to envisage what the European Commission means by 'strongest possible response'. If they mean economic sanctions, why haven't they imposed these already following Russia's illegal special military operation? They clearly don't mean a military response as the EU has no army of its own and would need the backing of NATO.

That's just weird. Brazilian man living comfortably in Canterbury where he never ever experienced any racism, moved to Chatham and had his cars and motorbikes nicked. One 10 second google search found over 50 'delivery driver' jobs in Canterbury. Why did he need to move to be nearer his delivery driver job when he could have stayed in beautiful racist free Canterbury and changed jobs?

Seems odd that you are arguing with the English language! Even more odd that it annoys you when people use it correctly. https://guides.lib.uoguelph.ca/c.php?g=696372&p=4999533#:~:text=2.-,Use an apostrophe when showing possession, see guideline %233 below). In all the cases you've mentioned, the physical 'shop' belongs to the company that owns it, therefore an apostrophe and 's' is required.
-
You should if you are using the English language correctly.
-
Looks like those sanctions still aren't working
-
Not sure why that's a problem? Surely if you are referring to the shop called 'Tesco' you would say 'I'm going to Tesco's' with the apostrophe and 's' added to show possession - i.e. you are going to the shop that is owned by Tesco? In the same way, if you were going round to the house belonging to your mate called 'Dave' you would say 'I'm going to Dave's' rather than 'I'm going to Dave'.

Good job King Charles is only the third. CR7 might have had some trademark issues. Funeral on Monday 19th which will be a bank holiday.

Appaently they've solved this by giving them all Ukrainian passports.

Horseshit. Spreading games across the weekend serves one purpose only and that is to increase TV viewers and make SKY / BT more money.

They miss out?

Le Tissier Interview Antisemetic Racist
Weston Super Saint replied to SaintsLoyal's topic in The Lounge
Why? Do you want everyone that has a different opinion to you banned from football matches? Bit weird. -
It's not looking promising - apparently seven members of the Royal Family took a flight to Aberdeen. Fair play to her - I'm not sure I could have done the same job for my entire life (even with all the trappings that go with it).

Have the bank of England got it wrong? Traditionally, the way to combat inflation is to raise interest rates - make it more attractive to save money, less attractive to spend money / take out credit, thus the 'demand' within the economy drops and prices start to fall (houses, consumer goods etc). However, with the current issues, inflation is largely being driven by the cost of fuel increases (some price increases as well but these are largely due to costs of production / transportation increasing due to fuel). Raising interest rates in this instance isn't going to be anywhere near as effective as it traditionally is. People haven't got the choice to stop paying their fuel bills (heating, cooking etc) and most won't have a huge amount of discretion when it comes to vehicle fuel (work commutes etc), so raising the interest rates isn't going to be taking money out of the economy to decrease demand and lower prices. Very basic economics and I'm aware that it is far more 'nuanced' in the real world, but is raising the interest rates going to do more harm than good in this instance (increased mortgages, increased rent, increased repossessions)?

Do you think they might be renting it?
