Even when you are 'fully vaxed' you still aren't fully vaxed as you only have around 80% or so of protection (which coincidentally is the figure that was given once you'd had two jabs back in the summer!). Factually, you can never be 'fully vaxed'.

The Welsh are banning spectators from all sporting events from Boxing Day to control the spread. Covid passports have been mandatory in Wales for a while now and were introduced to control the spread. Logically they must have concluded that covid passports simply don't work if they've had to take additional measures....

It's the 'PC' thing to do.

Not that rare at all to be fair....

As I'm sure many others have as well, my Mrs has now had two letters from the NHS asking her to take part in a random testing sample - I assume they are running this to try and more accurately gauge the wider rate of infections, but the timing is very convenient, just when they need to find more cases they embark on a mass testing program....
-
And that's even with the new reporting criteria to bump those hospital numbers up!!
-
It's not about the victims! It's hard enough being a criminal these days without having sexual stereotypes thrown around - the criminals will then become victims themselves...
-
It was rhetorical.

2 million cases was mentioned this morning! It's gonna need to start doubling pretty soon to reach that magnificent figure - and when it does it'll only be a month and a bit before every single person in the country has tested positive. I'm not sure the testing service could cope with that, let alone the NHS
-
Yes, but what about the 'potential' you were mentioning yesterday, where does that sit at the moment?
-
Strange isn't it.. Covid deaths are reported as covid no matter what the actual cause of death was if someone tested positive up to 28 days before they died (this includes all those who caught covid whilst they were already dying in hospital which is a not insignificant number!). Flu deaths, on the other hand follow this criteria for reporting : Saucy Source

Why would you mention something so irrelavant on the Covid thread, as the common cold has no vaccines (when you made it clear you were talking about covid vaccines), you thick cunt?
-
How do you reach that conclusion? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-59711474 There's no doubt that cases are rising - and no doubt hospitalisations will rise, especially for those that aren't vaccinated. However, if 90k new positive cases were reported and 10k of those are Omicron, it stands to reason that the other 80k are NOT Omicron. It could well turn out that Omicron IS mild but the hospitalisations are being driven by the other variants.... Too early to jump to conclusions either way at the moment.
-
Why would you mention the 'common cold'?

And if you don't go to those countries then it lasts a lifetime - as you've pointed out the risk of exposure in the UK is minimal. Likewise, if I went to the moon, I'd wear a spacesuit!

Many thanks for 'man-splaining'. However, Aintclever's original statement was : Note that he uses 'vaccines' in the plural, implying all vaccines, which, as I stated, is horseshit. Measles vaccine protects for life, similar to the Polio vaccine. Influenza vaccines on the other hand give protection for a couple of weeks / months. It's just another example of aintclever pretending to be superior, calling people thick but pulling his own pants down in the process. When his answer was questioned further he came back with 'coz the covid virus is different, init mush' demonstrating his complete understanding of the subject once more He's right though, it is quite easy to understand, just not for him

Which is the frustration around the reported figures. It's not like it would be a major piece of work to report hospitalisations against vaccination status.
-
Like I've said before, covid passports for hospitals solves the problem. Treatment is prioritised by your vaccination status. If that means the deniers sit in the car park coughing, so be it, it's not like there haven't been plenty of opportunities...

No need to worry, 'experts' are predicting snow in the UK over Xmas and we've been told to trust those guys implicitly, so you can go skiing over here

Questions aren't statements Matty, they're questions. There's a clue in the name. As for the rest of it, that's not what I'm saying at all. I've already stated (and also posted links to the Govt website) that show that vaccinations HAVE helped to reduce the risk of serious illness and hospitalisations. I had my booster yesterday, so don't be thinking I'm in the vaccine denial camp either! Aintclever stated that the virus still had the same 'potential' that it did when it first arrived. I am simply questioning why he assumes that given that 89% of the population have had one jab and over 80% have had two - which will massively REDUCE the potential for the virus to cause serious harm / hospitalise most people. So, back to the question, why does Aintclever think that the potential is still the same, and if he truly does think that, then what does he think was the point of vaccinating 89% of the population?
-
Odd. I think you're assuming I'm saying a polio vaccination will protect against aids or TB or Measles, which I'm not.
-
Cracking answer!
-
This is a bizarre post and shows you haven't understood the post you are quoting. If you look closely the post contains two QUESTIONS and zero STATEMENTS.
-
Horseshit! I had a polio vaccine when I was about 1 year old. Has that waned over time?
-
Does it still have the potential? If so, what was the point of spending billions of pounds on vaccines?
