  1. LOL. I guess the PFA don't trust the cheating skates to pay their members what is due to them from the PPs
  2. Love it! They're arguing about EIGHTY lifetime tickets! EIGHTY!! They've probably sold out their poxy rundown fat clogged stadium a handful of times in the last decade and they're arguing about EIGHTY tickets! It's not like they haven't got the room to squeeze EIGHTY people in is it! I wonder how many people Champagne Ian and Champagne Mick will be inviting into the hospitality suite[sic]. I suspect it'll be more than EIGHTY people every week
  3. So, the PPs are enough to pay the football creditors their £8m+, however, they won't be used to achieve this as the football creditors will be paid in 2016 or 2017. Hands up, which of you nutjobs guessed that they had no intention whatsoever of paying the FCs with the PPs and used them for the purpose they were intended for once upon a time I suspect that once again, the figures don't add up, so less than a fortnight after the bestest and biggest fan takeover in the world ever, they are already robbing from Peter to pay Paul. The fun is just getting started, again
  4. My suspicion is that the FL have given them a wage restriction of £1.1m next season This is most likely based on their projected turnover in terms of the financial fair play rules [lol]. Never before has a Portsmouth manager come out and stated how much money they can spend next season before the current season is finished! 'Appy managed to squeeze in a quote last year during the summer but that was based on Chinny taking over and giving him £4m, then slashed to £2m before the season started! The only reason I can think of to explain why Guy has been so specific regarding the wages budget is because the FL have been specific with their demands. I'm sure this will all be cleared up once the PDT publishes its open and transparent business plan
  5. Hey Phil. Last [working] day of the week today Phil. Still no sign of this 'mystery' that you promised us in your 'look at me' post last weekend. Since it hasn't come true yet again, why not share what you were told - it's not like you're going to get anyone in trouble by telling us all about something that didn't happen anyway...
  6. Which is odd, because their own document describes the loan from the property developer as being in the 'short term' and the loan from the council as being in the 'medium to long' term. It's good to see reality setting in and six months being described as the long term future of pompey
  7. So, Phil, is today the day that the magic news will be broken - I thought it was yesterday, but I guess this ITK lark isn't an exact science. I suppose you have until Sunday for some sort of news to be released then you can have your 'I told you so' moment
  8. Someone should point out the FACT that they didn't sell out 21k the last time they were in the prem - I doubt nobhead neil will do it so it'll have to be one of us...
  9. So it'snot true then? The only things that can't be published on a public forum are lies
  10. Why? I can't think of ONE little tidbit that NITK Phil has ever given us that has actually come true. I'm not sure that this will be a bright new dawn for him either.
  11. A word of warning for everyone regarding the wage cap and 55% turnover rule. Whether we like it or not the circa TEN MILLION POUNDS of parachute payments WILL count towards their 'turnover', no matter how many times these PPs have been allocated to pay of debts, the money has to come in to the club first before it goes out, so it WILL be classed as income / turnover. Add £10m in to the equation and they can actually have a VERY healthy budget for League 2! Whether or not they can afford that budget is irrelevant! We all know they can't, but we also all know it won't stop them! My guess is this : The spending spree will start in the summer - they might even pay back the council loan with some of the PPs - but the rest they will spunk on new player contracts. They'll follow the same pattern and will sign overpaid journeymen who will cost a fortune. On paper they will look like a team good enough to rip up League 2, just like they did this season, but they will still have clueless Guy in charge, so will go on another loosing streak - playoffs at best. How will this be funded, why the PPs of course! Yep, the money 'earmarked' to pay the players they couldn't afford five years ago, will go on the wages of the players they can't afford next season. Give an alcoholic a bottle of meths and he'll down it. Give Pompey some money and they'll spunk it. It's as regular as the sun coming up in the morning! Once again, they will be 'all in' on their gamble to rise up the leagues. Sadly, they won't have considered the season after. It's one thing to get back into League 1, but the revenue once they get there will be pathetic. They'll have blown all the PPs on next season, won't have paid back the football creditors, will be in League 1 with next to no income where they will have to fall in line financially with all the other teams. They will be back in administration again by the 2014/2015 season, only this time the debts will be football creditors from four/five years ago! If there are any local businesses on the list this time around, then those business owners should be taken to a field and shot rather than having their debt considered. The one thing about Pompey is their predictability
  12. Oppps! http://espnfc.com/stats/attendance/_/league/eng.3/year/2010/english-league-one?cc=5739
  13. All the JCLs coming out of the woodwork My skate mate was in uproar this week when he walked in to his 8 year old son's bedroom to find him playing fifa as Southampton, already affecting the 'next generation'
  14. Has anyone ever mentioned the brand new record they managed to achieve last night? Thought not. Well, they are now officially confirmed as the only team in the history of football to be able to claim parachute payments from the Premier League whilst in league 2 / the lowest tier of the league pyramid. Now that, right there is a record they can be proud of!!
  15. I'm sure nobhead neil will spin this into some sort of magnificent victory for the plucky people of portsea island.
  16. FROTFPMSFL I think I made out four people throwing a handful of ripped up paper - probably nobhead neil's senseless ravings - into the air. Hardly the 'ticker tape parade' that the snooze is claiming! Just goes to show how small time they've become
  17. No, 2. 1 in August and 1 in Feb 2014. They must be the only team in history to stretch the PL parachute payments all the way to League 2! I've never considered them to be generous before, far from it, but they do appear to be 'sharing the wealth' throughout the football pyramid.
  18. *like* Community / fan owned club is definitely the way forward - for Saints fans
  19. This weekend will be the ultimate test. 250,000 of the bestest fans ever, triumphed over the rest of the world who were against them at every turn. This rhetoric should rally the phew into action. Anything less than 20k for this landmark home game will signal crowds dropping to 6k and below next season!
  20. They know what's coming
  21. Is it a book on "paragraphs and their appropriate use" for nobhead neil?
  22. He's obviously been taking tips from Factless Alan! Micah Hall, the revered journalist, has been reporting the PDT has £3m in escrow. In know who I believe HI David
  23. Awesome. More abuse for Deepak from the phew
  24. Is this another of those occasions where they need to know the numbers in advance so they can inform the police? A bit premature isn't it, arranging a meeting that far in advance? They have to wait for the outcome of the court case which is going to take place on the 10th or 11th - isn't it great that by the 7th of April they still have no idea when the most important court case in the history of their club will be taking place
  25. There is NO mathematical way they can escape relegation. No more arguments... There is only one way they could escape, but that would mean the FL would have to be VERY lenient on them. I four one, can't see that happening. I know people bleat on about them having already been treated leniently by the FL thus far, but the FL have applied the rules that existed to the letter, the same as they have done to every other club in the same circumstances. We are in uncharted waters at the moment, so the rules are being created every time there is a need to do so. They won't escape punishment, but we'll have to wait and see what the punishment is once the time arrives
