Is it still a 50p charge? IF so, it'll only be our 'cousins' from the island of Dr Moreau that'll feck it up!
-
I'd prefer him if he was Mr Bean

The chance to play at AC Milan, Barcelona, Marseille, Arsenal or Chelsea; or the chance to play at Bournemouth, Carlisle, Crawley and Oldham. There really is only one 'no brainer' and it certainly wasn't the decision
-
I'd rather they worked on broadband speeds first so we can utilise wireless devices at home I STILL only get 1.8mb from sky, with BT showing no plans to upgrade the network in the near future IF 4g gets rolled out in Bristol, I'll be able to get faster speeds at work on my phone than at home connected to broadband! It's all a bit mental really!

FPMSFL Wasn't one of Corpse's 'sources' the caretaker's son? Well, this guy on POL is one step up that particular food chain, dealing with info straight from the horses mouth They say a fool and his money are easily parted, but these guys fall hook line and sinker for any old twaddle
-
LOL. It's all gone a bit mental on POL! They're mentioning everyone who doesn't live in the UK from the fat ice cream man all the way to the Sultan of Bruneii! The funniest thing though, is that an overwhelming majority seem to have their arms wide open to welcome a mystery bidder into the club! It's almost as if they have no faith what so ever in the trust
-
Please, please, please let it be the fat ice cream man Is this the famous car that was repossessed?? I do love a consortium, they've always been SO successful
-
Loved the ESPN ad just before the game. "from fortresses to Moneyfields" was one of the phrases on the ad It's almost as though Holepuncture wrote the ad! Either that or ESPN know something the rest of us can only guess at

This is one of the oddest statements I've ever read on there - and it's populated by quite a few crazy fools! Firstly, when, exactly did they sell out the 20,000 seater stadium[sic]? I can't remember them having done so since at least the prem years.... Secondly, how is it funny if our 32,000 seater stadium had a 'few empty seats'? We still sold an awful lot more than their 20,000 Finally, it's nice to see that they're keeping such a close eye on us, especially when they all claim they couldn't care less what the 'orrible skummas do as they mean fack all to them!
-
Indeed. In the same way as they are also the best - off all the clubs that aren't better - and the loudest - of all the clubs that aren't louder - and the most financially secure - of all the clubs that aren't more financially secure - the list goes on....
-
Just shows the attention span of the feckwits over there!! I've copied my original post and highlighted the relevant part for our retarded friends And for the record, so we can clear up another pompey pub myth, it was in fact a pompey fan who suggested that their little forum only had 17 members. Again, I've copied the relevant post here - all available on this thread within the last 3 days

I like that challenge Can I join in too

You lot are mean! Pompeyscot is giving up POL and chucking the towel in because HE posted his wife's name on the innernetz and the nasty scummas have found out what it is! Apparently if he stays on as the owner / administrator of POL the lives of his whole family will be at risk from the rabid scummas! However, if he chucks it all in, then they will be free from the nasty rabid scummas as they won't know where they live if he removes himself from the innernetz. It's a twisted kind of logic I'll grant you, but perhaps it's Bill's excuse to stop supporting Pompey now they're sh1t again and go back to being a Rangers fan....
-
They did! They asked them to put their money where their mouths are and pledge support for the trust. What was the result? About 1500 of the 250,000 that celebrated the cup win did so. That's not exactly an overwhelming majority...

Anyone know why Chinny's bid is now 'not ready'? Seems a little suspicious to me. A few weeks ago, before he pulled out, his bid was on the table, the CVA had been agreed and everything was going to go ahead 'within a week'. I really can't see what's changed now. Presumably he has just re-submitted his original bid with a few minor tweaks, but surely it still essentially consists of the same amounts of money being offered to the same people - £500k in total isn't it for the CVA? The only thing that may be different is the administrators allocated fee! They had a little spat over Birch reducing his fees, so maybe Chinny has put in his new bid, with a new revised figure for PKF? Other than that, I can't see any possible reason why Chinny's bid wouldn't be 'ready'.
-
I can think of two he hasn't welched on 1. I am secure, I WILL GET MY MONEY BACK 2. I won't let PFC be liquidated See, he's an honorable gentleman
-
Lol @ Mero! Of course Chinny is worried about the long term future of the club - well the short term until the PPs run out! He knows if the trust take over the club will not receive the golden ticket, and will effectively be liquidated. Liquidated club = no PPs for Chinny Like he said, he isn't prepared to see the club liquidated as he's got a lot of cash tied up that he wants to get his grubby hands on!
-
Probably the same people who claimed you had a world class academy

My tip : Learn to make good coffee and how to wash up For the first month of the baby's life, all you will be doing is making coffee for the numerous visitors coming to gawk at the wrinkly Winston Churchill lookalike.

It's hard to tell where he stops talking about the fans

No, no they didn't get -10 for exiting their first [third?] admin two? years ago! They got -9 for entering admin in the prem. They then exited that admin by way of a CVA, which meant the FL did not impose a 10 point penalty - different from us, as technically we exited our admin without agreeing a CVA, as ML had agreed a payment schedule with our creditors. Since SFC was NOT in admin, it was impossible to exit with an agreed CVA - the FL still stung us for -10 on a 'technicality'. PFC then got another 10 point deduction last Feb for once again entering admin. They will get another 10 point deduction when they get taken over / bought this season - or in the close season whenever it happens - if the agree CVA2 without the approval of CVA1 creditors as this will amount to the same thing as exiting admin without a CVA. They COULD approach CVA1 creditors and get them to agree to CVA2, thus avoiding further penalties, but ever since Birch's request for CVA1 creditors to get in touch, it's all gone very quiet! There was also some bluster from Birch stating they would easily appeal the -10 when they are sold, but as far as anyone can tell, the stipulation for the FLs golden share is to accept the deduction with no right of appeal - as they did with us. They COULD of course stay in admin all season and take the -10 at the beginning of next season, but I'd suspect there is nowhere near enough funds to pay Trevor and his merry men until next May!!

Have the trust re-submitted a new bid? Surely they must have, because the old bid said they were categorically closing the academy down in 2 years, yet the sporting life article suggests they are going to rebuild it! I do like the way it suggests that the trust are professional
