Sekou Mara - Official: Signs for Strasbourg
Weston Super Saint replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Wait, what? Suits a slower game than our sideways crab football? That kind of just leaves the walking football leagues. -
Meh. I'd be happy if league 1 came knocking or another championship team.
-
Form probably doesn't matter if you've got a good manager with solid tactics and able to adapt, combined with players who want to win and show it on the pitch. We're fucked.

Mid table Championship mediocrity awaits next year

Bloody 'on demand' generation. -
His actions speak louder than words. He's picked him for every single game until he was injured.

Fear not, the end of the Israel - Gaza war is near. It's been confirmed that a student was molested and murdered by security forces, so the students will be rising up (after noon obviously) which will turn public opinion and end the war. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-68840881 Either that or more teenagers will mysteriously vanish from the protests.

He's definitely been that.

Islam is such a kind, humane, tolerant religion. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-68914551.ampr Iraq's parliament has passed a bill criminalising same-sex relationships with jail terms of between 10 and 15 years.

Optimism and realism rarely share the same bed.

I don't think they did. I think they hired him because of the 'system' that he has a blind faith in, which also matched their philosophy of how football should be played (BeCAusE MaNN CiTy something something) and therefore the 'system' would see us through to victory. I don't think they really cared who they hired as long as they believed in the system. It's like a weird cult.

Bravely fucking about in the 18 yard box.
-
Hang on, that was last season's excuse for the team not giving a fuck.
-
Don't forget one of the key reasons he was given the job was his ability to develop younger players.
-
He'll be retired by then.
-
The one that can be made out of the subs?
-
Looks like RM doesn't agree with you. I assume because he's way cleverer than the rest of us.
-
So you do agree with some of it. Odd then, that you are so pious when other people are negative, but it's perfectly fine for you to be negative about things you don't like.
-
Which, sadly, won't end the war in Gaza.
-
I don't think he's ever seen any other type

It shouldn't matter one way or the other. It won't affect our league position and therefore when we play home and awqy in the play offs. If you're worried about the players being 'up for it' (I know I am), sadly they've already proved they can't do anything but bottle the 'big' games this season. Losing or drawing another two meaningless games isn't going to make much difference to our mental resilience. If the players can't motivate themselves for three of the biggest games of their careers, we're fucked anyway!
-
Like risking injury to our key players. Double edged sword....

"Bummuff" and "Brightons bumboys" (sic)

His 'situational' management is woeful. He doesn't react to obvious failings in games. Rinse and repeat subs on 60 and 70 minutes. His dogged reliance on the 'system' to work, even when it clearly isn't working (in certain games at certain times) shows his 'management' of the team, tactics and his 'men' is clearly very poor. He may have astounding conversations and bonding sessions with the players about hair products and fashion styles, but that desn't make a good football manager!
