  1. Who's joking? Detestable creatures that have no use on the planet.
  2. Didn't need the rest, just that bit.
  3. Now that a law is planned to be introduced so that 'kidnapping' a cat or dog can lead to five years in prison, can I now finally get my fence electrified to stop cats coming into my garden? I wouldn't want to be accused of accidentally kidnapping someone's pet if they enter my property Apparently, it is totally legal to kill a 'feral' cat, as long as it is done humanely, like shooting it. Can I claim that a cat shitting on my lawn is unsocialised - I'm sure the neighbours would claim I was unsocialised if I curled one down in their petunias....
  4. There's an article in one of the papers today that says wealthy people should pay more so that the unemployed can have free TV licences. The welfare system is supposed to support people if they are unlucky enough to lose their jobs whilst they find a new one, not replace the need to work with handouts. Re-prioritise that and a lot more of our unemployed might fancy the jobs.
  5. Can the context be him as a politician?
  6. Isn't that Cam-moron?
  7. Not just incompetent Tories that can't keep hold of those pesky, slippery whatsapp messages! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-68032233
  8. Of course we need immigrants. We may have too many people - hence why I put we also needed migration - but we need immigrants to fill skill gaps, like doctors and nurses. We also need immigrants to work in jobs like recycling, manufacturing etc as our benefits system is too generous to entice our own workforce to do the jobs they consider to be 'beneath' them. To answer your question about how many immigrants I have sleeping in my spare room, it's none. However, Mrs WSS is Polish and sleeps in the main bedroom, so techinically one
  9. Logic dictates that the only inference from your post is that 96 points would have been enough for automatic promotion in the last 10 years. There is nothing logical in trying to extropolate that to this season.
  10. I think you have misunderstood the 'stop the boats' slogan in terms of it's political intentions. It's pretty obvious that the slogan is pandering to all those who are too stupid to understand that this island nation needs a certain amount of immigration (and indeed migration). For them, 'stop the boats' means 'stop the immigrants'. Politically, there is no reason for the government to explain in simple terms any misconceptions, certainly not whilst they are assured of winning votes! Stupidly, Sunak is pinning his GE hopes on getting enough people to vote to 'stop the boats'. Setting up an immigration centre in France would be giving the game away to all but the most mentally incapable and would be a sure fire vote loser. Let's face it, the 'small boats' issue is basically designed to win votes at the GE. I'm sure the Gov't couldn't really give a fuck how many people cross the channel as, at the end of the day, they will be filling the tax coffers in some way, shape or form.
  11. Unlike the French? Link - from pingpong's post.
  12. I know. This isn't something new and has been discussed before ad infinitum. There is also no reason why the UK Government should set up a legal route.
  13. I said they had a choice to claim asylum in another safe country - that isn't "making up the rules", those are existing rules. They chose to cross the channel illegally to claim asylum in Britain. It's not that hard to understand and they "could" have made a different choice. I also said the semantics over whether they should / should not claim asylum in the first safe country is a completely separate debate. I have not stated that as my opinion, but it seems you are happy to make assumptions that it is.
  14. I read that as £10 and still found myself nodding in agreement!
  15. Enlighten me, what rules have I made up?
  16. Is the PL the best in Europe or just the most hyped - due to Sky going all in and therefore needing it to be so? It's no coincidence that a lot of the joy has come back for the fans now we aren't in the PL, just like last time, but unfortunately we need the PL - or more precisely the PL's cash - to be able to be succesful in the lower leagues!
  17. Technically, the only thing we've actually achieved in the last 2 years is a relegation....
  18. That isn't what I've done, merely pointed out that the 'choice' was made to not seek asylum in the first 'safe' country, instead choosing to risk their lives on illegal channel crossings. The OP said they had 'no choice' but to do so, which isn't true. The semantics over whether or not a 'genuine' asylum seeker will seek asylum in the first safe country is a different argument.
  19. Yet that is wholely untrue. Assuming these are not french people seeking asylum from the French, then they will have travelled through a number of other countries where they could just as easily have applied for asylum. To claim they have no choice is incorrect.
  20. The truth is out there for soggy. One walter mitty made up allegations (presumably for attention), so the rest must be untrue as well. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-67957726
  21. Having re-read this, it could also fit the Ant and Dec rap, but also something from the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Make of that what you will.
  22. Indeed. And the PL have no issue with it. Money trumps morals every time.
  23. To be fair, that just sounds like you are reminiscing!!
  24. Not sure where you got this from. From this page it states : "Rwanda is generally safe and crime levels are relatively low"
