I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but the current calamitous moon landings have me questioning are advances in technology! We've had one rocket not even make it to the moon so had to be turned round and burnt up in the atmosphere. Another has made a 'soft landing' but managed to break it's leg in doing so (source). In 1969 we managed to get a capsule on the moon containing humans as well as a moon buggy. We managed to get a picture of this in pretty good quality : Over 50 years later, technical developments mean we can take pictures from phones and the quality is superb, but the best we can do from the 'softly landed, broken legged' abomination is this piece of shit : We seem to have regressed rather than advanced.

Just to break this article down a little bit. It was published yesterday as an opinion piece by Nick Lowles. It refers to a poll conducted in 2020 by 'Hope not hate' : https://hopenothate.org.uk/2020/09/30/the-cultural-problem-of-islamophobia-in-the-conservative-party/ The poll was exclusively for Conservative party members, of which 1,213 were polled. No other political party members were polled so there is nothing to compare the Conservative party members against. There is no link to the polling questions - which may or may not have been leading questions. At the end of the Guardian article it acknowledges "Nick Lowles is chief executive of Hope Not Hate". Your confirmation bias gets worse every day. Edit : why did you consider this relevant for the Israel thread - presumably as some sort of deflection from your antisemitism?

Somerset council have announced they will be slashing 1000 jobs. I struggle to imagine how they can do that and still continue to operate - even inefficiently. The only conclusion I can draw is that they had way too many people doing way too little previously.

I've never claimed you have said it's right, that's a whole new kettle of fish. I've said you've justified their actions. You can do that without claiming them to be right or wrong. Personally, I don't believe the actions of ANY terrorist group can be justified, but to each their own I guess. By the way, you haven't "explained the context of what led up to the attacks" at all, you've merely skimmed the last 20 odd years of history in the region and completely ignored the previous thousand odd years and the religious hatred that has existed for at least that long.

Apart from you claiming that the "comeback" is justified because people's land and freedoms were stolen. Other than that, good point well made. (I imagine some post will now follow containing some form of abuse followed by a laughing emoji).

Justification for terror attacks by Hamas in that post. More justification for their terrorist actions. Justification for future terrorist attacks. Those posts were in the last couple of pages. There seems to be some confusion regarding Palestinians being aggrieved (rightly so) by hundreds of years of religious conflict in the region, with the actions of a terrorist group who were created specifically to destroy the Jews in the region. Let's not forget that both sides - Palestinians and Jews - have legitimate historical claims to the land. There is no justification for terrorist actions.

That's exactly the justification that aintclever has used! It's a complex arena dating back hundreds of years involving the vitriol and hatred derived from religions. Of course there is no vacuum. Recheck his posts on the subject. He seems to be secretly delighted that those pesky Jews got what was coming and is stating that it will happen all over again. He even seems delighted that this will happen. There is no justification for the attack by the Hamas terrorists. Similarly there is no justification for the attacks carried out by any other terrorist organisation. And yes, I agree that the retribution from Israel is above and beyond what is justifiable and neither condone nor celebrate it.

Not sure it matters, no doubt RM will already have decided the team in order to keep everyone happy.

How true. Just like when Russia stole land from Ukraine and deprived it's citizens of their freedom. Ukraine did exactly the same thing, flew across the border, murder hundreds of innocent citizens and went back home with hundreds of hostages. Always expect that comeback....
