Should the EFL be allowed to interfere in how clubs are run? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67983325 If the guy has no money then fining him for not paying wages seems futile. Insisting that he sell the club, despite their claims about staff, local community etc, seems more likely to be about protecting the EFL brand than anything else - if the club were to fold mid season there would be uproar from other clubs that have been beaten / drawn with Reading and more uproar from those who are yet to play them and potentially miss out on their 3 points!

So that's £140m summer 2022 and Jan 2023 combined. Also £12m on Shea Charles & £9m on Stewart, gives circa £160m on transfers in. Then there's : Lavia - £53m Tino - £32m JWP - £30m Tella - £20m Salisu - £13m Djenepo + Orsic - £5m £4m for various loan fees. That totals roughly £159m which pretty much covers the outgoings mentioned. Looking at those figures there really doesn't seem to be an FFP issue, especially when parachute payments are factored in.... I suspect we are focussing on loans so that we can spend when back in the PL without worrying about FFP.

To be fair, the videos available show very precise, targeted bombing of what is presumably military assets responsible for firing missiles / launching drones at the civilian ships. Not sure if there is much in the way of collateral damage.
