Would agree with that. As a club, the biggest mistake was not dispensing with Ralph in the summer. Most of us could see his time was up, yet for whatever reason the club decided to stick with him. Still don't understand the recruitment from the summer either, if the board had decided to stick with Ralph, they should have giving him the proper tools to work with. It just seems bizarre decisions have followed us since the end of last season, and we as fans just need something to believe in and get behind. I said before that going to St Marys feels like a chore now, an experience that is neither fun or enjoyable. Football has never made me feel like that, even under the arse days of Branfoot.

I think if its known that we are now looking for a short term option only, I would suggest that the only viable runner is Selles. He's here at the moment, and can step up. Obviously knows the players too. Not really an inspiring choice, but as others have stated, at least its not Jones.

Have a feeling this may return to haunt Leeds. They obviously decided that Marsch wasn't good enough, and yet for whatever reason their main targets seem to be turning them down. If that happened to us, can only imagine the meltdowns some posters would have.

Am really looking forward to seeing what he can bring to us. I thought he did a decent enough job at Leeds, maybe a bit unlucky with injuries and recruitment like us. I like the way he speaks, plenty of positivity and seems pretty likeable. We need someone like that after Jones. Watching Saints was becoming like a chore. I want to go to a game and actually enjoy the experience again.

I don't think Marsch is that bad a guy to have onboard. Like others have said he fits the mould from Ralph, plays a similar style to what our squad knows. I would fully expect him to be able to maintain a promotion bid should we go down. At some point, all but the very best managers are going to have a relegation on their CV's, either that or they jump ship before it happens. It makes little difference to have a summer recruitment process, we had a winter break this season and still managed to fuck up a replacement.

I don't get your reasoning, Kompany has no experience of the Championship and look what he is doing at Burnley. Similarly Carrick too at Middlesborough.
