Fraser Forster - Official: Signs for Spurs
LiberalCommunist replied to stevy777_x's topic in The Saints
I try to imagine which prem club has a worse keeper than AM, But I really can't pin one down. Krul perhaps? There's quite a few inconsistent keepers, but none as consistently bad as AM unfortunately. (Notice I didn't name Gunn) -
I think they will be very similar to before. They can't play this style in the EPL. They will be battered most weeks. And 40 goal Mitrovic, he'll be luck to get eight I reckon.

Fraser Forster - Official: Signs for Spurs

Can anyone think of another Saint that was so heavily derided after signing a new long term deal, only for people to want said player to stay after the deal ends? I can't. Its a strange one. I like that he's turned it around, but the weekly wage still makes me super nervous. -
I'll tell you how bored of City and Pool I am, I found myself wanting Chelsea to get to the FAcup final. Someone needs to stop them from clearing the lot. Its getting silly now. No chance an under dog is getting shit in the coming years, game over now.

Indubitably. I've only even known us fight for four proper promotions, but bloody loads of bottom end battles. And some of them were more epic than words could describe! (saying that, the Championship battle with Whu was awesome)
-
I always find relegation battles more tense and exciting than the promotion ones. But this season has fizzled out a bit prematurely. The Championship has been done for a while now, even with the surprise hurdle of Paul Ince who somehow has done a good job. Weird. L1 all but over as well. Sunderland keeping the other end a little busy.... will they make it, or are they set to fight Pompey for another year of 'who loves League One the most!?'

To have the chance to go two nil up with a penalty against a team clearly struggling with fatigue, that is 100% two points dropped. Also the phycological blow that would have dealt Everton cannot be underestimated. Saying that, would it have been different with SD in charge still? Perhaps not, maybe they have had a kick up the arse with his removal.
-
Mistake giving away the free kick in that position, shit defending conceding that goal. Fuck me, are they trying to save Everton at this point?
-
Is Toons new Brazilian going to be the king of bizarre goals? They are certainly unorthodox. That's two so far..... Terrible goal keeping by the KS.

I've never heard two commentators as bad as I did today. They seemed genuinely upset that we had the audacity to trouble Arsenal. They seemed upset by the end. When FF pulled off that save from ESR he made out it wasn't necessary as it was going wide, when in actual fact it would have gone in off the inside of the post! Then, lastly, commented that JWP is more than just a freekick specialist, he's an engine, but questioned his temperment due to his horror tackle & red card on Jorginho! WTF So glad we did them twats today. So pleased! UTFS

Oh my fucking god. I've found a good stream on my kodi box, but the commentators will not shut the fuck up about last week. They have reeled off about 15 stats about how we lose, concede, sell, capitulate, sack, fold, die......shut up and talk about the game! Not a bad start, but FF been forced into a couple big saves. Need to make this tougher for them.
-
Good. This could well be the start of our luck changing. Three points today please.
-
I don't think he'd like our defence much......
-
Trust the camera. But anticipate the desired angle. Things can be made to look a certain way, with the smallest adjustment.
-
Utterly bewildering decision. Especially because they have two very winnable games in the next seven days.

Is anyone else a little unsurprised by Savic's behaviour last night? When Foden did that lame roll back on to the pitch, I thought that triggered a pretty common reaction from him. We see it most weekends in our league, when the clock is being eaten up by antics. Athleti are masters of the dark arts, and some of the challengers were a little OTT, but I thought it was a bit of a storm in a tea cup. And Flippe got a red card for the challenge, so justice was served. But the media screaming; 'Nobody wants to see this!' While zooming in ten camera's for the chaos unfolding in front of us was frankly very amusing. Move along, nothing to see.......
-
It doesn't need to be such an extreme view on both sides. If people look a little closer, they'd see the points actually meet somewhere nearer the middle. But, this comment will trigger the people who don't want to understand and consider, they just want/need to believe. 'Its easier to fool people, than convince them they have been fooled.'

As Villareal broke for that last chance, it seemed to play out in slow motion. Like you knew what was coming. And the silence of the crowd when it went in. That was eerie. Nice of the Champions League to keep the spark of football going this week.......
-
Then send Shane on to nab the deflected winner! Outstanding plan!
-
Is that your opinion? I'm afraid I can't validate them without seeing your credentials.......
-
Before you give us anymore of your opinions, can we please see your credentials. Is this how it works now?
-
Just the team we don't want to play right now. This could be very painful. That 3-0 they inflicted on us last time did not do them justice. Should have been 6 or 7. Oh well, perhaps a rise from the dead at Easter maybe, hopefully.

On that note, to change topic - I wonder if Ramadan is affecting Salisu? Is he fasting? ------------------------------ The drop off has been so fast, I'd suggest his head has been turned. Since that suspension, then the Villa game, he has been atrocious. It certainly feels like a mental problem. Hope I'm wrong, but I reckon he'll be gone this summer.
-
Sorry, you lost me at Le Tissier, I just started thinking about great goals and great escapes......what were you saying?

After witnessing a bunch of disinterested melts get humiliated today, at least I get to fondly remember a time where we'd punch above of weight. Out fight better opposition and generally put in displays where you'd be okay with defeat. Must be well depressing loving shit footballers for not upsetting people on Twitter! lol
