Is anyone else a little unsurprised by Savic's behaviour last night? When Foden did that lame roll back on to the pitch, I thought that triggered a pretty common reaction from him. We see it most weekends in our league, when the clock is being eaten up by antics. Athleti are masters of the dark arts, and some of the challengers were a little OTT, but I thought it was a bit of a storm in a tea cup. And Flippe got a red card for the challenge, so justice was served. But the media screaming; 'Nobody wants to see this!' While zooming in ten camera's for the chaos unfolding in front of us was frankly very amusing. Move along, nothing to see.......

It doesn't need to be such an extreme view on both sides. If people look a little closer, they'd see the points actually meet somewhere nearer the middle. But, this comment will trigger the people who don't want to understand and consider, they just want/need to believe. 'Its easier to fool people, than convince them they have been fooled.'

As Villareal broke for that last chance, it seemed to play out in slow motion. Like you knew what was coming. And the silence of the crowd when it went in. That was eerie. Nice of the Champions League to keep the spark of football going this week.......

Then send Shane on to nab the deflected winner! Outstanding plan!

Is that your opinion? I'm afraid I can't validate them without seeing your credentials.......

Before you give us anymore of your opinions, can we please see your credentials. Is this how it works now?

Just the team we don't want to play right now. This could be very painful. That 3-0 they inflicted on us last time did not do them justice. Should have been 6 or 7. Oh well, perhaps a rise from the dead at Easter maybe, hopefully.

On that note, to change topic - I wonder if Ramadan is affecting Salisu? Is he fasting? ------------------------------ The drop off has been so fast, I'd suggest his head has been turned. Since that suspension, then the Villa game, he has been atrocious. It certainly feels like a mental problem. Hope I'm wrong, but I reckon he'll be gone this summer.

Sorry, you lost me at Le Tissier, I just started thinking about great goals and great escapes......what were you saying?

After witnessing a bunch of disinterested melts get humiliated today, at least I get to fondly remember a time where we'd punch above of weight. Out fight better opposition and generally put in displays where you'd be okay with defeat. Must be well depressing loving shit footballers for not upsetting people on Twitter! lol

In regards to the comment above referencing the time MLT got suckered in by that penniless guy back in 2009, yes, that's an example of sorts however didn't we all get suckered in a bit by that? He must have had something about him since Keegan (would be manager) and Strachen (would be DOF) had basically agreed their respective roles under this fictional new hierarchy according to reports. Also I seem to remember Lawrie saying that he'd met with this guy and really liked him? --------------------------------------------------------------------- We were mere hours from going out of business. I was clinging to anything and everything. Anyone using this as a stick to beat MLT with didn't go through the same trauma as me. I thought we were gone in those last days. Markus finding us was a godsend, but we didn't know that at the time. Matt was fighting for his club. Anyone who thinks it was something else is wrong. And concerning his latest views of all things of this world, I find not getting breaking news stories from sportsmen and celebrities limits the damage to ones mind. Stop tuning in, leave your memories intact, it will be healthier in the long run.

The thing I find strange about Frank is just how many protectors he has in the media. I listen to talk sport quite a bit, and they seem to give him a hard pass. Most of the match day callers fail to blame him as well. 'The problems were already there.' Seems to be the fav line. But for me, he is the biggest problem. When he took that job, he knew the situation. When you go into an environment like that you have to have a plan. You have to organise, coach and recruit. All I've seen him do is flip flop his blame after each defeat. He doesn't seem to learn. He really offers very little. No defensive organisation, no identity, no structure. I honestly think they could have picked anyone from their original list, and they would have done better than him. I just hope he has now done enough damage that it ends in relegation. If ever there was a club who deserved a wake up call, its Everton.

Its hard to guess what Chelsea we will face at the weekend, but I'd rather meet them with their momentum in the gutter than on a high. Those two defeats have already set some records for them, lets hope we can extent the timeline. Not a bad time for Broja to get a rest in all honesty, be good to have him back recharged for the Arsenal game.

I'd just like to say a big thank you to Burnley for injecting the remainder of the season with some much needed excitement. I thought the bottom teams were all going to lose their way to the final game, but lasts night result will surely have just put a rocket up all of their arses! Lets hope Burnley win the next one to really ramp up the pressure on Everton. To add to the hilarity, they will sack Frank as soon as they dip beneath the line. We weren't allowed Newcastle, but Everton is still on the table.

Hoping tonight's game is tight, and a big distraction for Chelsea. We owe them for that last game.

I'm not seeing much of a discussion. A fair bit of name calling though. Carry on........

Plenty of of football forums have failed because of threads like this one. Political stuff seeps into everything. There will be no coming together, no resolution. I suggest binning this and sticking to falling out over football disagreements. Seriously, this crap is a massive turn off to a lot of people. And even if they avoid this thread, they will feel its damage on other ones.

Absolute legend! His views on covid and the world order have helped me through the last two years. Oh, and he was a decent player as well........

That's the Toon I've been expecting for three months. Still, better late than never.

What a massive clown icon that boy is! lol

Our flip flops need re-studding.

I clearly remember the day they voted for this Qatar WC. When All the brown envelopes were delivered, and everyone smiled. Fuck fixing it. I'd rather laugh at its failure.
