  1. That two year deal they gave to Bertrand looks like a terrible bit of business right now. They may well be paying that off without him playing another minute of football for them. A pretty sad end in the cold light of day, but glad we didn't hand out another sentiment driven contract.
  2. If Everton lose tonight, I can see them sacking Frank. Literally one hour after game.
  3. Rom yellow bingo. I'm going for the 7th minute........
  4. Any lingering hope has gone now. Mike Fucking Dean. (Please covid, one last thing before you disappear)
  5. Human rights should step in if anyone tries separating Son & Kane. That would be like fostering off one of your twins. Cruel.
  6. Just finished my match report write up. I apologies in advance, its a lengthy one. Mistake, mistake mistake, Watford Goal. Mistake, mistake, Watford goal. ...................then the stream went down. What a shit game that was. I've never seen such a lack of urgency, energy, competence, as that first half. My only hope is, Watford use that three points to stitch up the Dug-outs. That is the only thing I can take from yesterday.
  7. well, I'm ready for our season finale next weekend, then we can well and truly put our feet up as we limp to 40 point total and another 14th place. Can't really complain after such a bad start to the season accumilating so many draws that we posted one of our longest top flight home unbeaten sequences. What a weird ass season. Glad F1 is just around the corner, I can start moaning about that instead!
  8. What has got into Salisu's head? Like a different player has come back after that weird injury. Hmmmmm
  9. This next comment may well trigger people, but I'm going to say it anyway. We need to be patient today. Keep calm.
  10. Watford look dead and buried. Another disappointing defeat for us.
  11. Time to fake a bout of covid and get this shit called off.
  12. Very happy with our team, outstanding. And pretty happy with theirs. And if it doesn't go to plan, they have three new signings that wouldn't have played 2/1/22 so my excuses are sorted! Tink. We got this. Up the Saints
  13. You don't have to be gay to be thrown off a building......you try building a footall stadium! lol But in all seriousness, keep politics away from football. Its a mess at the moment. Silence, clapping, kneeling, whatever next. Bin it all off.
  14. Yeah, Shearer's return to Toon should have been a nice story. But he always came across as a bit of a twat. Even when Fergie approached him, he didn't handle the situation well. Its great to be determined & single minded, but always spare a thought for the path you travel. One day, you might have to retrace your steps.
  15. Only Shane Long. I'll tell him the bad news........ lol
  16. "It is strange to concentrate on a game you should have played two months ago, against a completely different team. It is how it is. This doesn't impact us; we are also better than two months ago and are ready for the challenge. Nicely put Ralph. We need to win this game to right their wrongs. And reap their salty tears. Nothing more.
  17. We need Salisu back, then we need to work out where to get the yellow card that takes him to ten. I imagine that will be the first 20 minutes of whenever he plays. Boy sure does like a card.
  18. I don't understand the Howe obsession. Sure, it was more fun when he was at Bompey, but he's pretty inoffensive. He's earned his licks. He got absolutely destroyed at Burnley, went back, did well (for a bit), and got a opportunity at a bigger club. Me wanting Newcastle to get relegated this season was more about the effect they will have on the transfer market over the coming seasons. They will cause big trouble for clubs like Southampton. Add to that the owners that they managed to trawl up, and the new found arrogance of their fanbase, and I'd say Eddie Howe is one of the least annoying things about that club. They are safe, thanks to the incredible run they are on. But I hope we beat they just because of the bullshit they pulled with Covid in January. People will remember that, for years to come. They manipulated the rules and took advantage of a crisis. A scummy thing to do.......but it worked.
  19. If they are relegated, I say we send back Theo Walcott.
  20. Just looking at the fixtures to see if this benefits us much, but there's enough gap inbetween that we won't get any significant advantage. But what I did notice is how Londoncentric the end of the season is for us. Might as well hire out a Travel Lodge and be done with it! lol
  21. I'm looking forward to ref watch this morning. Should Ralph be bombing down the touchline to stop the opposition taking a throw in, or quickly retrieving the ball to set up a fast break...... Think carefully now Dermot, this is not a 90 second water break when a player is down injured.
  22. He's been a great owner for them. Created the most successful 20 years in their history. He's Russian, but he didn't start the war. Let them sing a song.
  23. And add to that the obligatory defibrillator related crowd medical emergency. Strange times, strange times indeed.
  24. If Salisu isn't fit by Thursday, I'll be furious if the club don't fake a C19 outbreak. FURIOUS
  25. Yeah, me too. It felt like a defeat. It was a dreadful performance. I only really remember the end because Virgils goal kept our european home unbeaten run alive.
