We could have got a fk into the box, choosing short passing and giving it away instead.

We make any forward ineffective. That's what RM has to sort. Here, it was opening up nicely for AA if we could have got it to him.

Tough angle for Fraser there. Shout out to Wood for getting that started and being fine with our auto passing around defence. Them getting drawn up. suits us.

Some nice moments. Les available for a midfield pass, AA chasing down keepers and the ball sticking to Aribo. Another memory is getting caught on the counter Alex blocking. But for all our good bits, theirs is by far the best chance.

Hilarious crowd disapproval when they passed it back. Imagine they were us. 🙂

Lallana off for Fernandes

Martin will be pleased with the possession, and the spell of control before the break. But efforts were about the same, and like a lot of games our opponents ones were the more exciting ones. We had a couple of headers after our PB build up. Cornet had a run but hit over. We look a bit disjointed. AA made runs but we don't risk over the top balls. He came deep, but either had no one to pass forward to himself, or played it back. We seem incapable of having Aribo be a focal for AA and/ or Fraser to work off. Cornet had a few bright moments. Lallana had a few more. But no one consistently enough to be controlling the game. Alex was never going to be able to control the cross, that led to their goal. Wood, who had a few shaky moments, had moved off the post. There were a couple of moments where we lost the ball needlessly. Wood's being the most noticeable being further back. Another 45 looking for the passes to result in more chances.

Needless from Wood there. We had a warning down his side a couple of times just before.

We've responded with a couple of patient build ups, but with headers not paying off. They just catch us, run straight up the park and it's stopped by Alex.
