  1. Aw. I have little enough hope hope left after this season. 🙂
  2. I saw him being more versatile in the things he was trying to do. He would vary how he would try to get past players. He'd be a bit more aware. And that fed into him having to adjust for there not being much support a lot of the time. No doubt, the end product was still lacking. But then, I remember that being said when he scored 6 (I was a little surprised it was that too)
  3. I'd expect them to end up with the same up and coming English managers, who get their names in the paper, who then end up failing. 🙂
  4. I think Edozie got 6 goals last time. Personally, I saw improvements in his game before he was shipped off to make room for Cornet. The usual caveats apply about getting in the right players. Off the top of my head, a Romeu and Adams replacement. Possibly Stu. And yet more caveats about new manager and systems. But basically, I was looking forward to seeing him back, and getting lots of minutes.
  5. "171. The definition of sex in the EA 2010 makes it clear that the concept of sex is binary, a person is either a woman or a man."
  6. I used to hear Nathan's name fairly regularly on football programmes, as up and coming and one to watch. When I next heard his name, I realised I'd not heard it for a while. That turned out to be his time at Stoke. At which point the programmes dropped his name, adding the next up and coming, one to watch manager instead.
  7. Apparently, it was called the great depression because the weight of money-stuffed shoes would leave dents in the pavements. The economy collapsed, not because of a lack of jobs, but because people couldn't lift their legs to get to them.
  8. I hear they get derailed. Did I tell you about the first thread I saw derailed? It was the summer of '46... yeah, I know the internet was decades away. I'm going to build up to that... 🙂
  9. I've pictured them all having changed into pullovers and putting on beards. 🙂
  10. It's nice for MLG to distract us from our season, by getting an even lower points total. If he had only read your post properly. You even pointed out why he wouldn't get it, which he promptly didn't get. "I'm very familiar with how business accounts work... The accounts shoe them putting large amounts into the club in the accounts." It's been a long time since businesses kept their money in shoes. He can't be teaching English. Maths is out, since he can't count to two. Too many logical fails to involve any rhetoric. We can now rule out accountancy. A really bitter RE teacher?
  11. ...checks to see if Bazunu has logged in...nope...yup, anyone here. 🙂
  12. Good grief. How can someone involved in education have such an inability to learn? "Name a none "black and white example" Is this another numeracy fail? A literacy fail? Is he looking at nun pics on the match day threads? Just waiting for his kid to read him a bed time story, before another night of dreams about his man crush, Mr Spors.
  13. I thought he was getting better. 🙂 Clearly, they will dispense with him and he can join us. If only to move Fraser on again. 🙂
  14. Gutting that we could come so close to safety.
  15. A bit prickly? Surely today's finding clarified you are either prickly or non-prickly, and which space to use. 🙂
  16. We agree. Holmes & Watson
  17. They should. But, if we play one up front, Adams would walk back into the side ahead of anything we have. That's the Adams who was a support striker and who SR would have parted with in their first window. TP should be better in the air, BBD more of a unit from deep, Archer the better finisher. AA the better work rate. But Adams' all round game is much better than any of them. Something that was clear under Martin the last time we were in the Championship. BBD and Archer struck me as the deals SR scrambled to get across the line when their first option fell through. Neither replaced Adams. At best, AA is decent at Champ level to support someone else we bring in. Stewart takes up a squad place, but can't be relied upon to stay fit.
  18. Such soft hands! I'll wager those dainty digits have never been rudely brushed aside by a pro golfer, as they grasp to get a touch from their idol!
  19. SR look to keep the wages on those individuals as low as they can. That seems to override any sense of squad management. For example, our numbers at left back, left midfield or multiple forwards when our main targets get better offers. That seems to apply to their managers too. Always looking for a cheaper, up and coming manager. If we got him in the building... "Right, Ronald. Here's the transfer software with your selection of players on it. No, we only use this now. We've already clicked the left field bargain filter for you. No, you can't get any of those. You'll have to manually check to see if they can play left back, and have never been a DM. Our video scouts are checking to ensure they have no leadership qualities at all. That means Jack can be captain and your assistant manager, Adam can still play. Enough of this for now. Let me introduce you across our multi club model. First up is Rasmus, who will tell you, Ronald Koeman, about all the secrets behind football success."
  20. Is our Championship specialist Martin? Besides, no matter how much we offered Koeman, Everton would come in and offer him all the sitting in their new dugouts that he wants. Some things we just can't match.
  21. Hopes raised... ... hopes dashed. 🙂
  22. That Doctor Who budget really has fallen, hasn't it?
  23. Our luck, Man City would get docked enough points to finish bottom anyway, and he'd join them.
