  1. Is that ironic? πŸ™‚
  2. It seems tough now. But when SR announce their PSR beating revenue stream of having the squad also play a full basketball season, it will all be worth it. All trained by basketball ace, Yukinari Sugawara, so there's prize money coming too.
  3. That Stuart Ripley transfer casts a long shadow. πŸ™‚
  4. Inquisition
  5. πŸ™‚ Not long to go before the Euros starts. Hopefully, it will be every bit as good as the last one.
  6. It's so often the way. Someone gets a prestigious award, say the H&W Poster of the season. But where to go from there? The downward spiral begins. Before long they have abandoned all standards, mixing with humour levels that were once far beneath them. But that's where fellow posters can help! For a small monthly fee to H&W's Help Whitey Appeal, we can get our esteemed poster back to the levels that gave us the "Scissors of Damocles" post from just last season! Could you live with yourself if a desperate Whitey was reduced to MLG's tumbleweed attracting Toys-R-Us lyrics? Or if he suddenly took an interest in xG? I thought not. Help Now! πŸ™‚
  7. Well, we've seen the closer to 3 seasons...πŸ™‚
  8. No, you are wrong. πŸ™‚
  9. A couple of powerful headers with decent centre forward positioning, one decent poachers goal and one where he looked too knackered to do anything other than stop running, but it hit off him anyway. A panic buy to support a manager who was already rambling towards the exit. That was followed by systems that were never a fit, long spells out of the side and random appearances when managers had gone through every other option. In those he often wheezed and puffed after 20 minutes. Having said that, in at least one wheezing, puffing game he did keep it going and looked better for a while, before it finally took its toll. When he did appear, managers really didn't set up to take advantage of his strengths. A poor signing for all concerned, with only his bank balance, and agent, having done well out of it.
  10. Delgado and Osvaldo.
  11. On Stewart, it's a combination of not thinking any club in their right mind would take him and, if fit (I know), him being the best all rounder in that position we currently have. So, if he's fit (I know) he's in line for minutes, as it stands (until it can't stand and limps off). On Armstrong, everyone will be disappointed with his PL seasons. That, and him going out on a not successful loan spell at raise questions. For me, if he still shows the desire from the last Championship season, he'll work his way into getting minutes. Probably not as a sole forward though, which doesn't work as much as he might want to play there.
  12. Oh, the deadwood stage is a rollin' out of the ground Fillin' our budget with lots and lots of pounds Beautiful sky! A wonderful day! Let's hope next time, we don't throw it away. -From SR, the musical
  13. Just continuing the long list of flip flopping and u turns that got him leadership and elected. https://www.politico.eu/article/keir-starmer-labour-party-uk-election-u-turns/
  14. He's a clown in a circus? Yes, that is appropriate here. πŸ™‚
  15. Meanwhile the local vet remains baffled at why the farm animals are terrified during transfer windows. πŸ™‚
  16. Although that was partly as Armstrong and BBD were away on loan, so couldn't have caused anyone problems for us in the 2nd half of last season. Not that they'd have caused many problems if they were here, so you're right enough. πŸ™‚
  17. Beeb coverage of the incident, with details of what the driver had told people. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c2k1gy4w38nt
  18. Tiss is there as we looked so unfit last season, he fancies his chances of getting back in. πŸ™‚
  19. Oh, I don't know... Nicholl's time with Le Tissier, the Wallace's, Shearer and Rideout; Under Koeman; Poch's system clicking; Ekelund and Le Tissier in the better bits of Ball in charge; That first moment of foresight in Anders Svensson's first pass, before he realised his team mates weren't good enough to see it. πŸ™‚
  20. I really should have had Golac in there. A period of sheer class in our history. πŸ™‚
  21. They're related, as revealed in torrid football expose, Lew Chatterley's Lover. πŸ™‚

  25. I guess it's time to tell you that we don't read your posts. I didn't even read the one that prompted this post. It's pure coincidence if this post seems to follow on from it. πŸ™‚
