Entirely possible. Beside all the bonuses for not putting in a request and being with the club for set lengths of time, he may well be looking for some/most/all of a wage packet taken care of as well. All of which means it will drag out a bit.

Clearly lots going on behind the scenes, but reassuring the manager looking to replace the first team gaps - Che, Stu, Fraser and Brooks. On Fraser, he wants to go. Newcastle want him to go. The relationship between player and manager/club can't be great if he's training with Ue1s. Could be Newcastle haven't had their valuation met. They are waiting for us to improve it, or for Fraser to put in a transfer request to remove a number of bonuses.

Pretty much covered above. "Danger Will Robinson!" Enough concerns to stay away. I've seen plenty of folk who try to convince themselves it will be all right, in the face of multiple red flags. I'd be looking elsewhere.

Baldrick: We play forwards based on their ability to defend corners. Club: Nathan tried that. Baldrick: We only pretend to sign forwards, confusing opponents with our 4-6-0 formation. Club: Scotland tried that, and amazingly found even having Che and a fictional Stewart up front was an improvement. Baldrick: We sign players for lots of different systems, so opponents are never sure what we'll do. A pacey player in a possession team or a tall forward who can't drop deep. Club: Would you like to be director of football?

Nothing to do with his ability, but if all parties are looking for the move, and he's put a request in, then we may just choose not to risk an injury.
