  1. Jeez... Pinnacl;e are NOT yet Wottes employers and there will be LEGAL restrictions on what they can and cant say to him officially at this time until they take over the club - there is also employment protection for employees of companies taken over and so due legal process in line with his contract will need to be observed - they can not make an announcement of any kind until its been finalized.... The decison by Pinnacle will also be influenced by other things... and thankfully MLT/Lynam are going to basing any decision or offer of alternative contracts/coaching role on their assessment of hi abilities NOT because he was employed by Lowe...and they certainly wont be listening to a load of bitter fans who seem to wallow in schardenfreude and simple meanness...
  2. If you think that you dont know Weston. He is as open and honest as they come - and merely advocated giving Whacko the benefit of the doubt - because he likes to see the best in folk.. nothing more sinister than that.
  3. Skate speaks sense! ;-)
  4. Rod stewart or Emu as the only other famous Rod is sadly departed - and he'll bring back WGS ... or maybe not...
  5. Come on guys, its going to be a good week ahead. Tony is quiet - which shows that the serious and professional business is being done - i would have been worried HAD he constantly been in the media with 'updates' similar to previous tyre kickers - I believe that if this by some small chance did not happen, it wont be by the lack of professionalism, but by some legal issue with the backer and I think think is remote... sometimes yu just get a vibe and the silence is a psitive message because it shows a professional and business orientated process... bring it on and wish uncle Tone the best for a positive outcome.
  6. Show we where I have ever used that phrase? (as someone labelled a Lowe Luvvie...yawn...) ...Oh and is the Pikey term as offensive as C*** or wishing someone dead?
  7. Will be interesting to see what the 'plan' is: surely it will be a long document that can be summed up as: 1. Budget will dictate what players we can afford and how long we can hold on to them 2. Budget will dictate what manager we can afford and how long we can hold on to them 3. Win as many games as possible 4. 1 and 2 determines the probabilty of 3 (or 1+2=3) ;-)
  8. Are you stupid? Folk have questioned Crouch's involvement historically and potentially in future, based on opinions in a reasonably respectful way until you ****wits turned up...NO one (who is opposed to crouch) has ever called Crouch a 'cancer' or been filled with hate against him that they wished him dead - so get a f*cking grip and grow up. The difference some of you morons fail to understand is that there is a huge difference between expressing reservations and questioning motives of someone versus blind hatred of someone based on continued displays of ignorance and prejudice - basically sad f*ckers who dont seem to have much upstairs....
  9. Mr BileRisin You need therapy - if you feel that much hate and bitterness over a football club you really are a sad piece of work and need help....
  10. Well avoid sweeping generalisations then...
  11. In a word Lawyers are involved - why do it all in 10 hours when you can string it out for 21 days + and kaching kaching kaching ;-)
  12. Wade - apologies, I know we should ignore these wind ups but you know what its like.... sometimes the fingers start typing before the mature head kicks in ;-)
  13. The classic rewriting of history... Leon got into bed with these shysters - then fell out with one of them which allowed the shysters to return - admin done for them which was a combination of the last 4 years financial meltdown...
  14. Even for you thats pushing the 'spouting boll ox' limit a bit ;-) Lets get one thing straight: whatever some of us think about Crouch, a) its not personal and you wont find the kind of bile many express towards Lowe expressed towards Crouch (unless to wind you Crouch pillow biter 'boyzz' (sic) up ;-)) and b) We wont be 'boycotting' if he gets on the board - so please let me know who is the the most vitriolic and obssessed with triavial Boll ox?
  15. Iknow its meant in jest ...but a bit extreme none the less and possibly in bad taste?
  16. TBH, it depends really if LM or CRouch come bvack and FOCUS on the future and stop the old bile (which they should considering its now history) Then it could be fine - teh problem is that becaus e of their history and baggage , they probably wont get cut the slack that total newbies woudl if or when errors are made ... we need to be able to cut the new board some slack as they find their feet and as rebuild together, and that is the danger with ex directors from any side resurfacing in new roles....
  17. Propert consultant? Pinnacle are an Asset Management company so its not actually that odd that he would be involved in a bid - but it is interesting question about why he would then become a FC director with no experience etc.
  18. Hi As I put above - I have no problem with it if thats the case - I would certainly have done the same - its the fact that so many are making him out to be a god, its lost a bit of its perspective.
  19. I dont know what Crouch is worth or what his income is - but as many have said he is very successful and that at one time he was happy to spend 2 2mil on shares and donate another 2 mil, we have to assume he is minted - means if he has gifted/loaned £100,000 or double that etc, its probably less as a percentage than the OAPs who gifted a tenner... ;-)
  20. If that wer the case it would not necessarily worry me too much because that is business and would any of us act differently if we had just lost 2 mil in colapsed shares (interesting that Lowe and Wile's losses in that way are highlighted as business failings... ho hum ;-) ), thus atr least getting something out of the mess - I knowo I would so cant criticis CRouch for doing the same.... BUT If thats teh case, I would hope it was clear and that those who have elevated him to sainthood based on the assumption of pure altruism acknowledge that as well. Its funny how 1 line in the Echo leaked from whatever source that says Crouch CONTRIBUTED TO the April wages (which is indeed a good gesture) becomes the stuff of legend without any knowledge of the full facts - almost as if some folk had an agenda ;-) Clever PR whatever.
  21. Are you ssuggesting then that perhaps Crouch's donations/loans came with those strings attached?
  22. NO probs with saying thank you....... and goodbye... ;-) Seiously though on the main the issues seems to be about finding a role to which he is suited and questions about whether its right to reward his donations/loans etc with a seat on the board. Should it not be purely about teh best candidates for eachrole rather than a decsions based on sentiment?
  23. You starting summit you **** ;-) Seriously, it suggests that those who are conspicuous by their abscence do sem tohave the greater wind up effect and in some cases is probably teh reason for joining in ;-)
  24. To be fair Mike, this is a unique thread in that dispite the differences of opinion, from what I can see EVERYONE is respecting each others opinions and having a rather adult debate ...for a refreshing change ;-)
