  1. Duncan, a good analogy, but surely there is still hope of white smoke, even if it is just a s mall puff?
  2. Kinda off what I was thinking and it depend on who holds the registrations SLH or SFC Ltd... as we have been told SFC is continuing to trade and is not in admin (although if thats the case why no ST sales?) If SLH wer to go into liquidation, would SFC Ltd if still paying its bills and wages automatically fold, or would it be an asset for sale - thus could SFC ltd sell players over the summer to keep it afloat and a going concern, even if had to move out of SMS and into a portakabin in the car park?
  3. Indeed, to be fair, I dont really care what he thinks of us, if he did the job properly and we had success - these things only become an issue when the things he does fail or we do not have the succes to meet our expectations.
  4. I have no reason to doubt this, and as I have said many times before, I doubt very much I would ever get on or like this man (let alone his UKIP 'Kleinburgerlichkeit' little englander mentality), however, I do differentiate his chararter flaws from what he was hoping to or trying to achive with Saints - there were some good ideas, some achievements and also one hell of a lot of failures or poorly timed or executed ideas. For me it is a constant source of frustration that often good ideas and approaches are not 's given the time of day by many fans, media and the like because Lowe has constantly alienated these stakeholders by his gaffs and attitude... It becaomes a painful and thankless task to try and point out value in ideas and approaches against a backdrop of 'issues' of Lowes own making.
  5. My concern, and I am desperately trying not to be too negative is that the price/bid value expected from Mr Fry based on it being MORE than what he believes he can achieve for creditors if the company is liquidized will be high compared to what the clu is worth considering the debt burden and teh investment needed to improve the playing squad and build for the future. Especially baring in mind that bidders will probably be factoring on only 12-15K gates and reduced L1 ticket prices... I think thats the sticking point, its going to cost simeone in excess of 10 mil + whatever they need to underwrite the annual losses based on existing contracts that need to be honoured.... Thats also assuming the CVAs reached satisfy teh Football leage that we have not avoided paying a substantial part of the debt and thus incurring additional points deductions.....
  6. So it would seem, but If you know your enemy plays by certain rules of his own making, which include bating the opposition and whinging 'its not my fault' to the media, then surely the best attack is not rising to the bate, and remaining neutral. To me its the most dignified, similar to how MLT has conducted himself really - a unifying force because he has to the most extent remained outside of the politics?
  7. No meat left on the bones? :-)
  8. Appreciated, Its just that because of this playground squbbling, I really would have liked to see one person rise above it, refuse to get involved and taken the moral highground - a unifying force - LM would potentially have been well placed to take that mantra, but chose to set his stall firmly in one camp. Which was in itself always going to leave him open to criticisms from teh other side and round and round it goes.... sadly...
  9. NOt quite right, the administrator may choose NOT to accept a bid if he feels that there is potentially a greater return for creditors by liquidising individual assets than from a bid for teh whole shebang - and thats his priority - not to saints as a going concern....with less of a return to creditors.. EDIT: Sorry delay in posting meant already covered.
  10. So the 30+ is down to 2...one of which is Whacko Jacko... and we aint ment to be worried? So what is plan B likely to be? Asset sales and liquidation? a restart in the Blue Square paying rent to the council? I have not totally given up hope, Saints is just too big to cease to exist, but we have to realistic about what may happen and be prepared to come out in force and support our club whatever the result. If we as fans awant it bad enough and are prepared to support them, then we will rise pheonix like from the ashes... if not we could be a very small fish in the solent for years to come.
  11. I think in part its also confusion at the moment - we dont know what is happening or going to happen re the administrators or buy outs and with the club, Saints Aid, bucket collections etc, where this money is going and how its being used and what happens to it if no buyer is found - means many fans seem a bit bewildered as to the benefit and and need of this - and I am one of them.. With respect to Lawrie, fair play to him to organise these things, but it is sometimes difficult to avoid my own cynicism questioning motives - afterall he must know that even if we had 20000 @ £20, that 400k after the costs have been taken off will probably only pay the wages fro 2 weeks over the summer and there does come a time when fans irrespective of wanting to help simply dont ahve the cash anymore. Lawrie, presided over arguably the clubs greatest era to date and for that and what he achieved ALL saints fans should give him the respect he deserves. But since he left and flirted with England and Sunderland and then returned, I would have liked to see him avoid the politics, and be more constructive in his criticism than airing his own grievences in public... it kind of undermes the respect thing IMHO.
  12. Think its time for pancake to repost his classic 'Sergeant Pepper's lonely Saints club band' pic - a masterpiece if ever there was one...
  13. What is it about Saints attracting these chancers with no cash or whop have already lost loads in other business ventures?
  14. hey..you mean this a football site? ;-)
  15. Will you still be saying that if no buyer is found...?
  16. Maybe its true? The fact that MJ has not been on here telling us all that he will save the club means that in actual fact he is involved - I dont know what is scarier - Marc, if you are reading this, why not confirm or deny your involvement?
  17. So hypothetically what would fans prefer if given only one choice? Wacko Jacko or Loopy Lowe? ;-)
  18. 1 ? 2 ? 3 ? 4 ?? Would be good to have a summary of info/rumour on each..... see if there is consistency or ambiguity
  19. I think the biggest two fingers to the public is that rule that allows them to claim for mortgage interest - thus even if only serving 5 years being able to make a profit when selling a house on which the interest was paid by the tax payer - a feckin disgrace - teh solution should be simple Any profit generated should be returned to the tax payer + the interest payments so teh MP would get no profit from a house purchased to do 'their work' in LOndon or simply change teh rule so that they only get reimbursed upto £X for rental only - if they choose top buy they cant claim at all, OR just buiod a one off block that is owned by the tax payer and they get to stay their FOC when in town...

  22. NOt as far as I am aware... its all creditors, and I think all football related debts need to be settles in FULL.
  23. By Major backer I assume you mean 'the tooth fairy' and the Easter Bunny?
  24. Fair enough. It was just the thought that this rumour of MJ is involved is scary .....
  25. Isuspect yours does not contain 'made up' numbers and names though Duncan ;-)
