Petition for a gagging order for all past directors...

Harsh.. but fair ;-) But if our points of vast intelligent insight managed to penetrate your beer addled, PS3 rotted skulls, we would not have to keep repeating ourselves ;-) -
Quite perfect - if somewhat intellectually heavy for a footie forum! ;-)

He may not have had official power, but he could uite easily have said - look guys, we need to hold back on this until we have some guarrantees, I cannot agree with this risk and if you do continue to go ahead without the backing of the football club board (which begs the question what were they there for) I will ensure that is recoreded in the minutes or make a public statemnet - afterall Leon has never been shy of speaking publically when its something teh fans want to hear.... -

Uhm BUt CRouch was football club chairman from the time of Lowe's ousting - had he had better foresight/experience he could/should have vetoed teh spending during that time approved by Wildes Execs on the grounds that Wilde would bring in the fabled investment - surely Leon was not so naive as to approve this spend before the club had anything in writing? This has been my problem with Leon as he seems to preoccupied with his status amongst fans as Mr Uber fan than making unpopular but necessary decisions. Pandering to the demands and desires of fans when you ahve limitless cash to fund supporter dreams is great - when you are skint and with falling revenues you need folk in charge prepared to take the flak from fans for miserly decison making. -
Sorry - meant creditors....

Is it not time though for us fans to start to stay out of this polarised bickering? Naturally absed on how much and who and what we believe we all have strong opinions on who is guilty of what and who is to blame for the various woes that have befallen us - alot is based on rumour, gossip, urban myth multiplied by the stupidity of all the protaganists in assuming it will sawy public opinion should tehy speak out vocally against each other. Ultimately its quite simple - sporting errors were made that meant we were relegated - this huge fall in revenue was something NONE of the protagonists were prepared for or experienced in managing - each ahd their opinions and ideas as to how to best approach teh difficulties and they all got it wrong in part = the situation we are in now. In all cases I just wish they were feckin man enough to stand up and say ' Dear Fans of SFC OK, there is no easy way of saying this, but we have to admit we failed the club, whether through inexperience of mistakes made, we will say it was not intentional and we all thought we were implementing the best solutions. They did not work and for that we must take responsibilty collectively as the club will not benefit in any way from further public bickering and accusation. It dibvides fans at a time when unity is paramount, and it does not present the club in its most attractive light when new owners are being sought. This is a great club, with great fans who deserve success and a harmonious and promising future. It is with deep regret that our actions have directly contributed to the curent situation as we failed to mangae the transition from the premiership revenues to restrictions of the football league. We can only wholeheartedly apologise to the fans and supporters, and the staff of this great club. We now call for a spirit of unity, truth and reconcilation as we will not progress whilst the divisions and bitterness continues. Yours in good faith Rupert, Leon, Michael, Mary, Lawrie, Guy, Keith etc al Otherwise they should all just shut the feck up. -
We have to recognise that this is a game of cat and mouse - the bidders will want to get the best deal for themselves, and Mr Fry the best for shareholders - negotiations are open and all parties will be playing hardball... My concern is not that we will not get any bids, but that the ones received will be below what Mr Fry believes he can get for creditors if liquidated - he will wait as long as possible to get a decent bid, and that will be the 11th hour before the plug is pulled.

Uhm , not sure the environment of a heated AGM is going to be the best one for digging deep. You never get the real person when defences are already up to face the obvious hostility. I can only assume he thrives on that open hostility towards him, in his mind it probably provides the challenge and motivation to prove himself right. I just think it would be great to have one-to one interviews with all three, no hostilty just questions designed to try and understand the motivations and decision making process and then when pubblished at least we would have a 'horse's mouth' version of events, rather than the gossip and rumour - as funny as it can be!

This has kind of been covered before, but given the stories of the financial wealth of the others in this eg, I doubt Lowe had anywhere near this kind of cash sitting around - most of his wealth will be tied up in shares and trusts and property, as for Wilde did he not try and raise 2 mil 18 months ago and could not get it? A more reason able offer would have been for crouch to inject the 2 mil o the back of a rights issue subject to all shareholders agreeing thus providing Rouch with greater equity and also proping up the share price and the club - making demands on board changes is always going to get backs up and heels to dig in. This is what has been the source of constant frustration with all three of them - they act like school kids arguing over whose game it is - rather than recognising that they either ALL fall with the club and ALL lose, or all win - whiolst they were prepared to fight against each other it was always doomed as no one had enough equity to have sole control. When it comes to the politics all 3 were just plain daft and stubborn

Is that not waht we said after the last relegation though - anything is better than.... -
On a more serious note is everyone who has ever employed someone that turned out to be not as good as firsts thought somehow a 'tard'? Was not NL actually quite a good trader doing well, who then made a few losses that he panicked about and covered up rather than copmming clean - and then just let it ballon? As feck ups go it was biggy, but what next, Lowe responsible for the current credit crunch?
-
Never! ;-)

The answer is right there - the most important factor in the whole saga dont you think? ;-)
-
NO disrespect but with the Woodward connection the one on the right looks uncannily like Martin Johnson - i think we should be told!

Mr Wilde If that is indeed the case, given you were chairman of the football club and a 17% shareholder, why did you not stick to your guns, and importantly why when we met with you last April did you seed the idea of a continental set up as a joint idea between you and Rupert? Personally, i was in favour of trying something new, saw the logic in it and have spent time and effort on here defending it to the amzement and ridicule of others... i was proven wrong by the results we got, even if the idea still had merit - such is life we cant all be right all of the time so i put my hands up and say I was wrong - no shame in that so why cant you do the same? Miost fans would have acknowledged that you and Lowe inherited a difficult situation - but when in a hole its usually wise to stop digging....
-
You gave me both barrels when i suggested that at the time! ;-) On a serious note though - I would hazzard a guess... if Lowe had been able to lay his hands on 2mil as spare change, i think he would done a deal with Crouch and dumped Wilde - Stranger things have happened! As to Crouch's motivation: note sure, the cynic in me says to blow his own publicity trumpet, the rational in me say to blow his own publicity trumpet...;-)

I know NSS very well and if he says it has credibilty I would trust his word... I am just maybe sceptical because we have had so many of these types of potential bids with local business men wanting to be involved but typically scuppered by the difficulty in finding appropriate investors. -

NSS - are you who I think you are mate? If so hows things? -
Must admit, I would quite like to meet him one day, talk openly and frankly about his decions and try and understand why he was always so bullish about his approaches when going against the grain of the established approach - why? well because its so easy to jump on a bandwagon, and I have spent too much time trying to understand the pros as well as teh cons of some of his ideas - Its a classic case though of how we would be far more forgiving of his 'eccentricities' had we footballing success, than the mire of the last 4 years.

Agreed, I know Alps and I had some online jousts about that, but being proven 'right' is the last thing anyone wants and as you say to be fair to Alps, he probably genuinely felt that the club could onluy move forward without Lowe and so any risk was worth it if it got rid. I still stand by my opinion that it was not, but it means nothing to me being right or wrong if the club does not find a buyer - sure we may 'survive' as a small ouutfit in some lower league or start again, but it would noty be SFC as we know it, the club I first began supporting as a 6 year old back in 75... with all the ups and downs and changes over the years, yet still the heart and soul of of 'our' club.

Seriously, it would not surprise me given hi other gaffs - although i am sure he is polite and friendly on equally n umerous occasions - just they dont make for such good copy. But it wa more of a statement to undermine how irrelevent it really is if what someone is doing is successful v failures...
