  1. Every time they open their big mouths the bullsh*te just flows. It's been said only 1000 had booked their bus travel as they had to do it directly with the coach company as they refused to deal with their club. But it's still the same for them as it was for us, they only get their match tickets once on the bus. If they don't get on, they don't get in. WTFILN.
  2. I'd imagine we'll sell a few more on-the-day, looks like we just gotta accept Millwall's reputation is always gonna put fans off...not surprising when you look at some sections of our support. Still, 2,500 to 3,000 is not a bad turnout...could be worse you could be a skate who only took 600. Best travelling support in this division? Gotta be Wet Sham, taking 5,000 to Leeds today.
  3. So Wet Sham have met Henderson's huge wage demands...plus paid a massive downpayment...all to sit and watch from the stands. If the debt-ridden Hamsters f*ck this up they're...how does it go....toast! Shame.
  4. Corrected that for you...hope you don't mind.
  5. Too right it'll be...the b'stards have only given us 5,800 tickets. Btw it wouldn't be a disgrace, in fact that's still a pretty decent following (although we were taking 10,000+ away at the later stages of the '78 promotion ), I also think we'll sell them with little problem.
  6. On one hand you've got the delusional Toyboy (anyone remember that chant from the 70s "p*mpey boys, make more noise, when they play with Tonka Toys, la-la-la..."? corpy must have been around back then). And on the other you have rallyboy. Every post brings a smile...the bloke's a fookin' genius.
  7. We were given 9,000 tickets for the entire Arthur Wait stand but another 3,000 bought through ticketmaster and were mainly housed down one end of the stand opposite. Plenty of Saints fans got in on 'home' tickets too...not the hardest job back then considering the opposition! Are we "struggling" to take 3k to Millwall? Don't forget we sold the initial 2k and only got the extra 1,000 a few days ago, does anybody really know how many are left? I'd be surprised if there are by the end of the week. It is far safer these days but it's still a tough place to go if you want it to be and whether it's 2,500 or 3,000 we're just one of only 2 or 3 clubs that have taken the bottom tier there in a very long time.
  8. "So far 600 tickets have been sold Bob Beech, of SOS Pompey, said he was behind the club’s Mother’s Day initiative. ‘Fans need to get out there, support the team and hope for the best,’ he said. ‘I keep hearing from various fans that they are the best in the world at getting behind the team under the circumstances. It’s time for them to prove it. It’s us against the world.’" "Best in the world" Deluded freaks.
  9. We've sold out the intial allocation of just over 2,000 and recieved another 1,000 for the lower tier which are selling fast so I'm told. I know a number of lads that have got tickets in the lower tier. Get a shift on or by the end of the week you'll here all those complaining they missed out like Orient last year. And if the weather's like this next weekend it's gonna be another cracking day out drinking in the sunshine again!
  10. I've spent the whole half a century living around the west side of Southampton but I can confirm I was a teenager once (and still am in my head and should know better at times)...solid line of Saints supporting family going back generations, mostly dockers...until everything changed in there. I'll defend my city and club like I would my country. It's in the blood.
  11. ...yeah...but...that's only because millions of skates were steaming up to Millwall for their game......oh, hang on, it says here only 500 made the short trip...
  12. "POMPEY administrator Trevor Birch has asked fans to stop their lengthy protests after the final whistle - because it’s costing the club money."
  13. So those 100 or so 'die-hards' are responsible for pushing them even closer to the edge. tho that bint on Meridian tonight did say that the skates "great support" "packed the park*" with 16,500 on Saturday (*5,000 empty seats but hey, whose counting?) and they're coming live from the Madejski tomorrow night for the visit of the blue-few. Sick bags at the ready.
  14. Towards the end of the 78 promotion season we took around 10,000 to both Luton and Fulham (Friday night) and and estimated (as Saints fans were in most parts of the ground) between 12-15,000 of a 20,000 gate at Orient. Although it wont be as many these days, I'm looking forward to some cracking away trips between now and May.
  15. Classic example, their last 2 aways, TV cameras at Blackpool 1200 turn-up and they're 'loyal/passionate/plucky little p*mpey'. One week on, no TV cameras and only 600 of the 'bestest fans in the world' could be bothered. It would be the same if they went pop and reformed as afcpikeyisland/whatever. The first game they'd turn out for the cameras to proclaim the sleeping giant was awakening. The next a few thousand would magically turn into a few hundred but Dinenage and co. would spend the next decade spouting the usual bullsh*te.
  16. You see, this is a big difference between Saints and West Ham. Our away support numbers are decent but theirs are up there with the best in the country. We're top of the league on the back of a 3-0 success on the road and if we get 1,000 up there (understandable Sky/price) we'll say that's a good turnout. West Ham have a 3,000 allocation for their trip to Elland Road coming up and have sold most already. If it was on Sky I think they'd still have 2,000+ there. We're gonna have to get used to these prices because that will be average if we go up.
  17. Well if it helps hook out all the paedos, terrorists and DFCSBs then it's not all bad...
  18. All the classics including... Sgt. Pooper's Lonely Terrace Band With A Little Help From My Friends (From The Russian Mafia) Losing On Sky With Dinenage Getting Better (Not) Fixing A Hole (In The Finances) She's Leaving Home (Penny Come Back) Being For The Benefit Of Mr Always Right (Ho-Ho-Ho) When I'm Sixty-Four (Million In Debt) Lovely Peter (Storey) A Day In The Life (Of TCWTB)
  19. This. The only chant I'd join in with about the skates...the only one referring to the bluefew that should ever be heard inside SMS imo...and doesn't even mention the 'p' word. If you were there in 2005 then you would understand why this is gonna be a very popular chant. Can't see half of SMS joining in with the 'nawty' word tho Don't try and change it, leave it as it is, says it all.
  20. I'm a massive Southampton fan but I really do feel sorry for the boys in blue going into administration. You are a massive club with a wonderful history full of great players, managers and fans alike. I would hate to see you fold. So lets all get behind them! C'mon Rangers!!!
  21. She's got her knockers but hey...
  22. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am The Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."
  23. Brighton had just over 1000 up there Saturday but...tickets were £28...and it wasn't on TV. If we take 1000 at £36 a pop and also on Sky then that would be a decent turnout.
  24. The thing is we're talking p*rtsea island here so those extra fingers are an advantage.
