They'll do anything to get out of being associated with a club that loses NINE-nil at home!
-
We re-invented Black Friday.

I seem to remember rumours of interest from the US which coincided with all the promotion we were doing stateside, when Krueger was touting us as a growing Champions League bound club (is our US training centre still going?). But, of course, we had a sudden change of direction, Krueger stated that we were now "a small club" and Kat's promise to sell us onto someone who would take SFC forward fell flat on it's face. I guess this was the best deal on the table for her.

Yep, over a thousand there Tuesday night, it will be around 1,500 today. They all deserve a medal after what's gone on.
-
And that’s the problem.
-
I can only see us starting this one in a very similar fashion to Tuesday, they certainly won't want to concede early. Unfortunately I also can't see us getting off so lightly this time.
-
They didn't have to travel. I'd have taken the financial hit tbh. I tip my hat to them.
-
There's 1,000+ up there, that's a decent number all things considered.

We'd sold over a thousand, at a tenner a pop I can see some writing it off and not bothering now if they were planning on driving up.

Welcome to the overpaid primadonna players of the English PL.

Director of Football Operations Replacement Thread
alehouseboys replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Everyone's joining in the fun. Some are just twisting the knife. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7617021/Former-Southampton-boss-Dave-Jones-wants-return-Saints-club-step-sporting-director-search.html -
Nil. NINE. At home. To f'kin Leicester. FFS. Nope, this one ain't going away any time soon.
-
This one's gonna take a bit of getting over, we all must be getting the same thing in our heads of did that really just happen? This will put a bit of a dent in the next generation of future support, luckily there's no school this week but they'll be plenty of young Saints fans who are being ripped apart by their Man City, Liverpool supporting mates over this who'll bow to pressure and be asking for a 'Top 6' shirt for Christmas.

You're right, they did, and a fair point, but the oppo certainly wouldn't have come out of it unscathed back then, they may not have been worldbeaters but they were committed and it showed. I've witnessed those and more since but if we're talking about character, I know who I'd want alongside me.

Scrub that.
-
Schoolboy logic - does that mean it would have been 0-13 if the little third division upstarts had been playing Leicester? Probably would have been to be fair.
-
My head's suddenly filled with Tranmere away, Leeds at home.......
-
I'd go: Martin Kirkup Hollywood Fisher McGraph Gabriel O'Neill Paine Channon Davies Docker Walker on the bench I know some are knocking on a bit, some are even dead, but just put the shirts out there and you'll get more impact than most of the present 11. What even just a John McGraph would have on this side today.

'Bushey' Saint, you must have suffered after that night at Vicarage Road in 1980, just another 'shameful, gutless performance seen from a supposedly professional team', I did and plenty of times since. Hard to believe right now, but I'll get over it until the next time........which we might not have to wait too long for with Man City away twice this week!
-
I guess someone's already done it but, 18/10/14, in exactly 5 years we've gone from this [video=youtube;dCII2a-ZfKU] to last night's record capitulation. No need to ask where it all went wrong.
-
It will likely be 'buy-one-get-one-free' in the summer transfer window.

You're right, far better than expected considering we're not that good (particularly at home), Friday night live on Sky with most expecting a the worse. https://tickets.saintsfc.co.uk/PagesPublic/ProductBrowse/VisualSeatSelection.aspx?stadium=SM&product=PH19LE&campaign=&type=H&productsubtype=HOME&productIsHomeAsAway=N&_ga=2.182957989.2090564318.1571948567-1589244274.1571679817 A few around the ground but only about 50 left from the block sent back by Leicester.

Nah, the exhibition at the Civic Centre for the Western Esplanade stadium would have been well before that, 79/80ish. It had already been knocked on the head by 1981 and we just ended up demolishing the odd-shaped Milton and Chocci Boxes for a new odd-shaped Milton with additional odd-shaped upper tier!
