So a 18 year old keeper who's only first team experience is in League Two over the keeper was voted the best in the Championship? Assuming, as I do that the best three English keepers get selected. Ridiculous view point to hold. 24 games at Cheltenham over a full season in a Premier League promotion winning team? I know who I'd rather have.
-
He's only played 6 games for U21s...how impressive could he have been?
-
Its really not, do you honestly think Butland deserves to be in the squad over Kelvin? He's only played a handful of games on loan at a league 2 side. I think its fair enough to be looking to the future but seems very convinient that the kid has immediately come to Hodgson's attention since he appointed the Brum keeping coach for England.

A mate of mine supports Everton and can't see them bidding. They can't afford him for a start, they now have Jelavic and they haven't played anything other than one up front for the last 3 seasons.

Rodgers now Liverpool boss, lets go hijack this move for Sigudsson. He'd be perfect for us. -

I think its a bit of a shame not to give him another year. He made a crucial contribution to us being where we are now and even with Sharp et al you felt that he would probably be in the team if fit. With 7 subs available in the Prem I felt he was worth a place in the squad. Looking at the released list, I think we're going to have to do some major work in the transfer market this summer to fill the gaps in the squad. Especially the keeper situation.

Which is what exactly? The comments aren't nasty...just saying we may as well change the title to something less definite seeing as the rest of us who aren't 'in the know' have not one shread of evidence to back up the assertion made in the thread title. I'm sure we'd all be more forgiving if someone let on how credible the supposed source is..until then, I hear a lot of things down the pub that I choose not to believe.
-
Also the manager Villa are talking about is quite clearly Paul Lambert at Norwich.
-
Can we change the title of this thread please? It scares the **** out of anyone who hasnt been on the site for a while and there is absolutely no basis to say its true other than the hearsay of one poster who won't reveal his 'source'. In my mind there's no way it will happen but until it does lets make it clear its barely even a rumour.

If there was ever a player who would definitely disrupt morale then its him. Stay well clear. Would much rather honest, hardworking, down to earth pros like Sharp and Rickie got their chance before we go chasing players who think they are better than they are and put their own interests ahead of the team. -
GK: Kevin Miller (I still find it bizarre that he was first choice for a time - God we must have been desperate. DR: Jermaine Wright (Just the worst footballer I've ever seen) DC: Pele (Not a defender so why sign him as one?) DC: Bennett/Makin (that defensive pairing against Palace on the opening day of one season has got to be the weakest I've seen since supporting Saints) DL: Vignal (Had friends who said he'd be naff having seen him at Pompey, they were right - just shocking) ML: Hammill (Overweight and useless) MC: Safri (Don't think I ever saw him pass it forwards) MC: Idiakez (too old even when he signed for us) MR: Jason Euell (Mule - says it all) FC: David McGoldrick (thought he was all that, he wasn't. Every time I see one of his cockily taken yet missed penalties it makes me so angry) FC: Saga (with the caveat of it being once he'd signed permanently. Thought we'd signed the new Pahars but he was just dreadful after signing on the dotted line)

The two goals in the last minutes at Millwall - no doubt about it...went absolutely mental and the top of the league chants echoing round London Bridge station on the way back were something else. Billy's first goal against Donny was pretty sweet - so desperately wanted him to succeed here and you could see how much it meant. His second against Pompey was a moment of sheer elation. Being on the pitch at the end of the season knowing we'd done it and put weeks of worry to bed finally. Such satisfaction.
-
Wolves fans showing the kind of billy big b*llocks attitude that will condemn them to a longish stay in the Championship. An attitude far above their station imo - hope they get a rude awakening next season and I think they will when all their best players leave their 'massive' club.

Jarvis would be quality for wide right. Jordan Mutch or Peter Whittingham would add to CM (depending on who stays down) Would like a new keeper to start as back up to kelv. Either schmiechel or Craig Gordon would be fantastic although perhaps unrealistic. Need to strengthen the defence a bit, but not sure on who...maybe curtis Davies and clyne from palace. Another goal scorer would be nice, hooper an obvious choice but not sure he is proven. -
Absolutely wonderful day. Hope every moment was savoured by all. WE ARE BACK. On the pitch celebrations were great and was proud to be a part of it, will treasure the memories. Thought we played well today. So happy for Guly to prove the doubters wrong. He was awesome today (anyone who says different is deluded imo). Morgan showed us what we'd been missing, the best CM at the club in my opinion. Looking forward to seeing this team prosper next season in the PREMIER LEAGUE (feels so good to say that)
-
Wouldn't we go up on head to head?
-
God Leicester are dreadful
-
No keeper on the bench for the Hammers - let's hope Green gets sent off early on.
-
I feel more deflated than I have in a while after this. I cannot believe we couldn't see that out. Its going to be very nervy against Cov now. Really took that defeat hard. Hope the players realise what it means to us fans and raise themselves for the final game. If we lost to Coventry we do deserve to fail, but the problem is relegated teams often play much better. Look at Donny today. So angry, I hate how much I care about this club. I can't begin to imagine how its going to feel should we fail.

Feel sorry for the travelling fans, what a disappointment
