Let’s take the positives out of that 1st half! 🤔🤔🤔 Absolutely abysmal!

Watching the first 15-20mins, it looked like we would take a hiding and lesson today. Really stifled them from that point onwards & battled brilliantly growing into the game, solid team performance throughout which is very much needed. I’ve not been convinced with Lyanco, but today he was absolutely superb along with his infectious spirit - just needs to be careful in not losing his head - need someone like him on the pitch to lift the players & the fans. Edozie needs more time on the pitch - great positive attitude & would no doubt create plenty of chances - which is what we are greatly lacking in the final third. Think that A.A deserves more credit - one of the hardest workers on the pitch & is heavily involved in lots of play. Che needs to be a lot more intelligent & energetic in his runs - he doesn’t give the team the links most strikers do. If only we could capitalise on the hundreds of corners & long throws that always seem to end the same way - with an immediate clearance 1st time for as long as I can remember that I’ve come away from the stadium not going mental about the referee as well - so all in all a great day - COYR

A much needed 3 points But yet another truly painful watch! Really poor & think that we’ve gone backwards. Not playing together well as a team, all over the place. Shocking passing at times & not much fight through the side apart from the normal few. Give Ralph - nothing but the Sack! Get him gone with most of the players - especially CB's & Goalkeeper

As much as I like Ralph (mainly for his personality/passion) and would really love to see him to succeed with us. Sadly, I'm now resigned to the fact that it's time for a change. Tactically - he consistently gets it majorly wrong and in so many ways - it's gone on for too long now! 😞 We've had CB defensive inadequacies for years - which has never been addressed - only got worse. Jack Stephens as back up says it all. New manager and MAJOR clear out needed Offload - Adams, Redmond, Djneppo, Bednarek, Stephens, Forster, McCarthy, Long, Walcott

So bloody frustrating & depressing - Newcastle were so poor and annoying with all the time wasting tactics. We look so vulnerable & disorganised at defending corners - so lucky not to concede more. Noticed this during our recent game with West Ham. Too predictable in our build up play - getting it down the wings constantly - only for no penetrating end result - gets very boring. Need to mix it up much more. KWP & Armstrong both excellent - but only so much they can keep doing in their positive play Che Adams does not seem to have enough intelligence in movement & position - really does not offer much for all the hard work done by other players and I think that this is very the build up play nearly always ends. Personally think he needs dropping for a while. Broja offers much more & is so much more positive (although he's not been himself over last few games) Plenty of crosses coming in for the strikers & chances for a good goal poacher - but they never seem to be in the right place at the right time A.Armstrong looked up for it when he came on - so would like to see him get more of chance on Sunday and wished that Ralph made his substitutions a little earlier tonight.
