I think that at the start of the season most people would have accepted a mid table finish as being a fair target. Now, to achieve that we are going to to need play off form for the rest of the season.

We are not where I wanted us to be by now. However, the consensus among those that are watching them regularly is that on the pitch we are getting better. I'll settle for survival this season. However, next season we should set our sights on winning this league by a country mile.

Having travelled all around the area last season following my son's under 10's (where I am a spectator nothing more) I would totally disagree. Many of the managers have been managing for years, and the ones who do have boys in the team are SO careful to be neutral. These boys leagues are where the next generation of Mick Channons, MLT etc. are going to come from.

The fact thant Nicola said yes to Lambert, when Huddersfield said no suggests that AP should be fairly happy so far. Can undersatand that he would want some more people at board level to help him. Would be suprised if AP did'nt know that this was going to happen when he was offered the job.
